My wife and I have been coming to this specific Mudbay for almost 2 years. When we first got our little corgi puppy this was our first spot to get help on what foods would be best for her growth. We met Jamie and she was so kind and helpful and knowledgeable. She helped us pick out the perfect system for our new family member. Soon we came back with more questions about how to help our other pets with their health conditions. And Jamie again was a friendly face with a ton of knowledge. We look forward to seeing her every time we come in. Thank you Jamie for helping our fur babies stay healthy and have the most nutritious foods. We appreciate you more than you know!

We have 4 furry pets, 3 dogs and a cat that we spend hundreds$ on every month with grooming and vet visits etc. So why would we accept any less than ideal when it comes to their treats and supplies? That's where Mud Bay comes into play...a little more expensive but many more healthier options for our animals. Great place to shop.

The staff are wonderfully helpful, great selection of foods, supplements, and toys. I especially love their policy for returns; they donate returned food and toys to local animal shelters. My cats love the free treats that they give me at the register, and it's the only place I know of to get their favorite catnip toys.

Shopping local keeps communities alive. Mud Bay is the only place we frequent to purchase food, treats, toys, and accessories for our two pups. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. We occasionally brings our pups and they are treated like royalty. Sumner Mud Bay is THE best.

Call the head to have an order filled. What time I got? There wasn't filled, said they got busy. And then left me standing there at the counter. Not very good customer service. Had to help myself.

We have been having a lot of issues with our 10yr old springer not wanting to eat his food and with some stomach issues and every time I go to Mud Bay (which is very often), they are so helpful and so incredibly knowledgeable. I couldn’t imagine trying to go anywhere else. Solving our pups issues won’t be easy, but it would be impossible without Mud Bay.

Hands down the most helpful and knowledgeable staff around. I had a skin issue with my lab/cocker spaniel mix and May was such a great help. She knew exactly what to recommend and was so so sweet over the phone. The store is always so clean and the staff all look like they want to be there and love what they do. Rare these days to see... This is a special kind of pet store... They seem to honestly have some pretty top of the line products. There employees seem to love working there because they are usually always smiling from what I have seen atleast. They are very friendly and are genuinely there to answer your questions about any of the products they have on the shelves in there. There are well informed or trained I should say. I found that shocking and honestly very refreshing. You know as soon as you walk in that it's not a PetSmart.

The employees are all wonderful. They have a really large selection of healthy foods and treats for all animals. Plus, my dog loves being able to self feed from the bulk treat bins.. No matter how many times I try to get her to stop. I have not yet been to a Mud Bay that was not great.

I am always looking for my cat's special cat food (only carried by one other boutique chain). I'd been hoping "this" place had it, which they didn't, and I'm so sad. The feel is incredible. It's so open and inviting and the cat section is clearly signed and as well laid out as the dog section. The two cashiers weren't so involved in talking to themselves that they ignored me, and they were helpful and professional when I came up to the counter. There were so many cat toys! I'm super particular when it comes to cat toys and these amazing stick toys with soft handles and parts were clearly designed to be easy on geriatric cats with bad teeth. I'd never checked out Mud Bay before, but it's my new go-to for toys for my cat. I just wish they carried Rawz salmon and turkey pate so I could stop going to the other place.

Love this place! My dogs have grain allergies and mud bay has the best price on their food. The staff is always friendly and give sample treats everytime we go in. Also has grain free treats in bulk. I would recommend to anyone.

Parking can be a pain at times. Overall a great shop with an excellent variety of healthy wet and dry foods and treats for cats and dogs. Fun place to try your pet out on new & healthier foods than what the supermarkets carry. Staff are usually attentive your needs.

Exceptional customer service with unmatched knowledge about all kinds of products and ingredients. I am pretty convinced actual veterinarians work here in their spare time. I was blown away at the intimate detail they know on each aspect of the foods they offer. They know what the ingredients are (I learned what guar gum is), why they benefit my pet and even what regions they source some of the ingredients. Super friendly too!

Nice selection of single ingredient snacks for the pups. Lung by the pound is everything. So happy about the new supplier as the pieces are much thicker and bigger. It lasts much longer and the dogs like the bigger snack.Staff at any location is always quite helpful and they aim to please.

Outstanding customer service. Andie was beyond helpful in the most wonderful way. My cat was at the nearby emergency vet and we needed a few things for him, including a carrier. I was afraid they would be high priced but what i got was actual great prices and exceptional assistance. I'll be back again!!

Prices are actually better than PetSmart, and you can feel good about your purchase. You aren't feeding your pets a bunch of by products. Service is friendly and helpful. They will carry out and load the heavy stuff for you.

Last month I had a pet food emergency because I forgot to buy some and it was the night before a planned vacation. I called the Sumner Mud Bay store at 7:15pm (they close at 7:30) and spoke to an employee named May. I explained my situation and asked if they would stay open five minutes longer so I could drive from Puyallup to pick up the food. While I was frantic, she was the opposite- so calm and nice on the phone and she told me not to worry, and of course they would help me. We arranged a curbside pickup of the food and I paid over the phone and I showed up at 7:28pm... May brought my dog food out to my car and was so sweet and genuine. Every time I talk to an employee of Mud Bay- whatever store I'm in- I am legitimately surprised that they are so kind, informative and helpful. You just can't find that level of service at most places anymore. So to May, and every other employee of Mud Bay- thank you for being so wonderful!

Mae was so helpful today with food and medicine for our cat! I even got a personalized welcome card (with coupon) for my 1st time stopping in! He was so helpful and had tons of suggestions for our cats dietary needs and her current dry skin concerns.

I adore the Sumner Mud Bay store. They help me with odd requests like a certain size food for a dog with a cleft palate, and keep me updated on any recalls that might have happened for any food I am looking at.Very knowledgeable staff, just nice people
