Great vet in the Gorge. My pup, Milo was due for shots in late October and our prior vet in Portland was booked for 6 weeks out. Crazy!Luckily, Stevenson Vet Clinic were able to fit us in on a few days notice.Cyndi the receptionist was amazing and quick. She told me when I scheduled that all the forms were on their site. I sent everything ahead and there was no paperwork to handle in person.Dr. Ashley was quick. We got our shot, and were in and out in 20 mins. They refilled our prescriptions on the spot and send the records and receipt from our visit electronically.Seriously fast, friendly and no hassle at all. Wish all vet experiences were that easy.Thank you, Dr. Ashley and Cyndi.Also, we loved meeting the gorgeous resident-bird at the clinic.

Dr. Ashley and her staff were wonderful in caring for our very sick dog, Berkeley. We weren't sure she would survive her infection, and Dr. Ashley came in on weekends to allow us to visit her, and the care they provided was wonderful. She pulled through and we are so happy to have her back home. Multiple calls from Dr. Ashley and her office after we were home, checking how she was doing, were above and beyond and show true care in her patients!

Small town vet clinic. They know you and your pet personally. Great care! Get appointments within 24hrs and get a return phone call regarding care within a couple hour, if I don't receive an immediate answer which is rare. Love em!

This clinic was recommended by a family member and I am glad to have found it. I’ve been to vet clinics in Portland that felt cold and sterile, this place isn’t like that at all. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere, which helped my nervous puppy feel more at ease. She wasn’t too sure how she felt about the parrot in the lobby (she enjoyed hiding and barking at it), but she liked all the clinic employees that she met.

I moved to the gorge last year and added a puppy to my family a few months ago. I am so glad and relieved to have the Stevenson vet so close by. Cindy and Dr. Karen Ashley have been so helpful in keeping our pup healthy.Update 2020: I have now had several planned and a few not so planned visits to the vet with my 1 year old pup. I believe Dr. Ashley and Cindy have my dog’s best interest in mind with all visits. I have not had a single bad experience here!Also, I love the option to order prescriptions on their website. I get heart worm and flea/tick that I administer at home once a month and it is so easy and saves money.Thank you!

Dr. Ashley and Cindy showed both great empathy and compassion during the surgery and post-surgery care, which was excellent. My Sasha is doing well and total recovery is expected. Dr. Ashley answered my questions fully and completely with current knowledge of the procedures. Thank you both for taking such good care of my sweet girl.My Sasha has required another visit this May, 2020, to Dr. Ashley and Cindi. This time it was for pancreatitis. Thanks to their treatment, she is doing better and I hope will be well soon. They are always so kind whenever we visit their office. Thanks again Stevenson Vet Clinic.

Started the appointment right on time. Very clean facility as always. Clarified the reasons for our visit. Dr. Ashley explained everything she was doing for our cat. Gave us instructions for post visit care and set up what we will need to do next. During our 7 years of living here, we've continued to use this clinic for our cats...We highly recommend it.

We recently adopted a very shy, timid, sweet dog from the Vancouver Animal Shelter, and have been working hard to make her less afraid of the world. Needless to say, we were somewhat anxious about a visit to the vet for shots.... Long story short - Karen and Cyndy were wonderful with Daisy, and the visit went very well. The vet was extremely rude and unprofessional! It was obvious she did not care about my dog's health. For example, as I was telling the vet what happened to my dog, she took a phone call and never asked me to finish what I was saying! I did most of the work holding him down and comforting him. She couldn’t even find his vein until I asked if she needed to shave his leg. She had no idea what she was doing! She was not compassionate or caring toward my dog at all, which you would assume a vet would be. I can’t believe this woman is still in business and practicing veterinarian medicine! If you want the best care for your pet, or even mediocre care, don’t take them here!

I can't say enough about this place...came here from the Seattle area with two dogs that have special needs and they have taken great care of our little ones especially when we need to leave them overnights our dogs love to come here they can't wait to go inside when they get out of the car, at our other vets we had to drag them inside as they slid on the ground, it's great to finally feel comfortable taking them somewhere they seem to like even though they get shots there they still like going. And the Dr takes the time to explain what needs to be done and what we need to do, great place

Got our dogs rabies shot here and her nails done after a pause from getting them done regularly.my dog is high energy and hates her nails being trimmed and they did an amazing job. Thank you for taking care of Loki for us and will be back to get another nail trim great service and environment.

Wonderful place. Bought a puppy for our daughter and took to the vet right away. Got all the needed shots and whatever else. They even cut the puppy's nails which was an ordeal. But it was great. Will be taking the pup there from now on.

My family has had negative issues here in the past, but years later in an emergency situation we decided to try again. My 2 week old foster kitten was showing obvious signs of an upper respiratory infection. We called our usual vets, both full but would see them in a few hours time for a whopping $100 emergency fee ... for a 10 oz, 2 week old kitten who needed to be seen no longer than 2 minutes. Plus whatever else they needed to prescribe. Ok, frustrating, so my mom called Karen's clinic and her assistant had us in within the next half hour. It was an in and out less than 10-15 minute appointment, including the time it took me to fill out paperwork/pay. She could immediately see the kitten had a URI and prescribed antibiotics without question, as well as some sort of probiotics. I left with what I needed without feeling completely robbed. Though it was still expensive as any vet bill typically is, it was about what I expected. Everyone was friendly and I'm pleased with our experience. My kitten is already showing signs of improvement.Thank you

We had our Dog spayed on 5/8/20 and it was a very good experience! Staff and Doctor very pleasant and very knowledgeable. They took great care of Tippi, everything went right on time. This was our first visit to this clinic and it will be our choice of care from now on. We would highly recommend Stevenson Veterinary Clinic if you are searching for a great place for your animal. I hate seeing all of these negative comments about the Clinic because this is so untrue! The only way you will be turned away from the clinic is if you have not paid your bills. This is a SMALL business and just like ANY other small business, they have to be paid in order to keep serving the public. They are not heartless human beings, the staff does not want to turn animals away, however the Stevenson Vet Clinic has their own bills to pay. They can not afford to serve people if they know that someone will not pay their bills. Dr. Karen Ashley and her staff will do anything and everything in their power to help your beloved pet. The clinic will do a complete workup to make sure they know exactly what is going on. I have moved to Eastern Washington and their prices match up with all the other veterinary clinics that I have researched. Even though I have moved to Eastern Washington, I am still ordering food and flea medications through the Stevenson vet clinic. I am doing this because of how well I was treated and the level of care that was given to my kitten.

My kitties have always received excellent care here. Yes they are a little more expensive, but, to have all the equipment and services they do in a small town, you have to expect slightly higher rates. The convenience of the short drive certainly makes up for it, and its much less stressful for the fur kids to travel for 15 min each way rather than an hour plus into Portland Metro or the 40 minutes to Hood River.

Very cold, unpersonable, rude, and overpriced. After recently moving to the area we scheduled an appointment to get out of dogs acquainted with the local vet…it was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. A second appointment to check a lump in my aging chihuahua had the same results. I would rather drive an hour so my babies can see a caring face.I would have even been willing to put up with the (outrageous) overcharging, but becouse of the rudeness my pets and I received from the vet and her secretary we'll never be back.
