Our brief interaction with store staff was positive. We ordered a product online and drove down to pick it up. Store appeared clean and we would visit and order from here again. We cannot speak for other products and services, but Petco has some awesome aquarium deals when they have them.

An actual dumpster fire would be more pleasant than enduring what you all call “customer service”.Sadly, an awful experience from beginning to end, and all I wanted to do was buy something cute for a sick dog. :(Between the endless waiting, being overcharged, trying to even find someone to ring me up at all, to the truly uncaring, unfeeling clerk and manager, I will be bringing my experience to the attention of corporate.Now I have to wait and see if the clerk and manager even really refunded my money from their mistake at all. Who knows if they even figured out my refund?Friendly reminder, support local. Convenience isn’t everything. I truly regret giving this awful company a penny of my money, esp. if these are the people they chose to work in customer-facing roles. This particular crew wouldn’t urinate on a well-meaning customer if they were on fire. Shameful.

This is a really small Petco. They have all the basics, but don't expect it to have a wide selection. They carry a small selection of animals. No large parrots. The employees have always been great.

Damian is such a gentleman and a scholar. We love him. He's kind, patient, helpful and just a solid human being.When Ai becomes all powerful I hope we gain the knowledge that allows us to copy and clone Damian. We want like 10 of him.

I have been purchasing aquarium fish for years from this store without any issues, until recently. The sales attendant actually refused to sell me a goldfish and argued with me. Time to shop somewhere else.

I was reluctant to try Petco grooming, but we're new to the area and I needed help . I've been very happy with the service provided by Willow at the Stanwood store. She's wonderful with my nervous dog, who comes away from her grooming appointment happy, clean, beautifully groomed with bows in her hair. Those bows won't last the day, but she's cute for now. UPDATE; 7/22 Sorry to say Willow is no longer with Petco. We will be trying another company.

Really upset. My husband had to re-arrange his schedule and leave work early to get our dog into the groomer and then was immediately told by Kyra they would not cut our dogs hair because she growled a little bit. I understand that is a concern but she has never had any history of aggression. All of her vet info is on file. And she has had her hair cut at Petco before with no issues. They would not even attempt.

If I could rate zero stars for the grooming department I would.Do NOT take your dog here if you have a Pomeranian, and here is why:I took my 9 month old Pomeranian puppy in to get his very first grooming at the beginning of summer to this place and I’ll admit he had a few nasty mats, but nothing a typical groomer couldn’t handle. All I asked for was a summer cut.Without any consultation before hand the groomer shaved off his entire undercoat to the skin.Having never had a Pomeranian before I didn’t realize the full scope of that idiotic move on the groomers part.You NEVER shave a Pomeranians undercoat for plenty of reasons from what I have gathered that is doggy grooming 101. Anyways, my poor boy is suffering from big bald spots, a patchy and horribly unmanageable coat now.

Having Petco Vital Care helps make the grooming service affordable. But what really does it for us, is Courtney. She is always looking out for our River boy and taking the best care of him possible. This has always been a great, friendly location until lately. Seems there has been some changes in the grooming team as I've been taking our dogs here for close to 10 years and was just denied service over a lack of situational awareness and preparedness by the staff.I'd be happy to discuss the situation in more detail with a representative. Until then, I will patronize other local businesses and encourage friends and family to do the same.

The selection was pretty hit and miss compared to other stores I have gone to. Not that it was low stock, just not very many option for items. The workers were kinda out there and no one asked me if I needed help while walking around with my puppy. Checkout was very bland and overall I am just glad I was just visiting the town and it isn't my normal everyday store.

My rating is for the grooming department only. The groomers are amazing! I have a pitbull mix that was very anxious the first time they trimmed his nails. The last place we went said he was showing signs of aggression. If you knew my dog you knew my dog this would be hard to believe unless they had done something to provoke it. Sure the 2nd time they trimmed his nails and every consecutive time he has been an angel and they (the groomers at Petco) adore him!!! They are good with people as well!!

I just hate having to leave even 1 star.So we went 3 weeks ago to purchase the Seresto flea collar for my two adult cats. We were given the Price Match, and went home. Yesterday, went in to get one for my kitten who is old enough. The Fat guy standing around up front used his finger to smack my phone as he says they don’t price match anymore. He brings a manager and I’m explaining how I just did it and her final response was “ maybe they did it to stop a argument “? Like I caused an issue. I went home and ordered online. My friend ran down to pick it up. They didn’t ask for ID or fill out the paperwork taped to the order. Guess this place only follows the rules it chooses

Love, love, love Petco in Stanwood! Especially the grooming department. They take such great care of my pets. I can not trim my dogs nails what so ever, and they handle it like a champ. Won't go anywhere else. Absolutely love the PALS Rewards program.

Clean, good staff and lots of variety for cats and dogs. I'd like it more if there were a greater selection of reptile accessories, and their frozen rat selection is slim pickings majority of the time I go in there. Other than that I have never had a problem at this store.

The people here are genuinely nice, but they do not look into profiles well. My dog had an issue last time with their gate underneath the kennel which led to a vet visit and a painful nail extraction. Which the grooming department kindly covered. But yesterday, 8/16 I received a call it happened once again and they were taking her to the animal hospital. I understand accidents happen but this has happened twice in the last 2 months. The people are kind and I know their hearts are in the right place but they need to update the ways of booking appointments and checking profiles.

I bought a dog gate online that said it was in stock at the Stanwood store. I Bought it online to get the 10% off but it turned out not to be in stock after all. I talked to a employee on the phone named Chris on my way to the store and he said he would honor the 10% on a different gate. He went above and beyond and gave us 20% since we drove down there. What an asset to your company to have such a wonderful employee!!! I will definitely shop this store again!

I have a bearded dragon, and have found it difficult to find reptile experts in a non - veterinarian setting. Not here! There are two female employees who are very knowledgeable and along with the other great members of this company, there is someone to talk to for any type of animal advice!As the owner of a cat and a dog is well I am very happy to have a place that not only has knowledgeable people but also carries great products. Somebody in the theater they are starting to rid their shelves of products that are not healthy are starting to carry a lot more raw fruit food products and also have grooming you're not in and pet care services to offer as well. Living out here where there isn't much I'm glad that they are one of the places that we do have! :-)

Do not I repeat DO NOT sign up for vital care. It is a complete rip off scam. Nearly impossible to cancel. Spent over an hour on the phone trying to cancel the $19 a month recurring charge. Then, you can't even use your rewards unless you "activate" them through your email. God forbid you forget your login and password. It's a SCAM! The min wage employees cannot help with any of it either. You have to call to cancel. Takes over an hour. They change what is and is not included almost monthly. Unless you like to be frustrated, then go ahead sign up.

I went in the other day and the customer service is HORRIBLE. The employees are to busy talking to each other and “taking stock” to bother with helping you find what you need. No ones ever easy to find and even the check out stand is normally abandoned so you have to stand and wait for someone to notice “hey maybe I should do my job”The management is underwhelming and even among the staff, for how much you see them chatting to each other, don't communicate about the store. Most of the time the reptile tanks are full of poop, the salt water aquariums have algae growing on the glass, items are never instock, and no one will give you the time of day to help you find what you needVery disappointed and definitely think they need new management

We went in today for a free training and socialization class and the woman was so gentle and kind. Then we came back and got his last set of shots and it was just so wonderful not having to pay close to $200. It was only $64!!!!!!! Thank you for always being so helpful and information and giving such wonderful customer service!

Very clean store with friendly employees. Stanwood Petco has been my usual "go-to" store for almost all of my dog food and supplies however, now that they offer online same day pickup (which always saves you 10% off the your entire order) along with allowing you to redeem any rewards points, I now rarely have to shop inside the store since this typically saves me $25 - $30! I think it's great that they offer this service! Tip: If you do use this pickup service, be sure to bring your ID inside when you pickup your order along with your order confirmation #.For in store shopping, this branch does seem to be a little smaller than Marysville/Smokey Point but, their inventory on everything except pet accessories is pretty much the same. If you are looking for beds, bowls, leashes, collars, jackets etc., I would suggest the Marysville store if you'd prefer more choices as they seem to have a bit larger selection to choose from.In saying that, the Stanwood branch will still certainly take care of your pets basic needs along with their grooming salon.

I have been disappointed by this store time and time again. They are constantly out of stock of multiple items. There were two different times ended up having to go to three different stores, after finding out they were out of cat dewormer (round worm and again for tape worm). I went there with my family to get a mouse this weekend and there were only two people on the floor. I felt bad asking them to help us because they already had their hands full with so many customers. One of them apologized and said there were lots of people working today but she wasn't sure where they all were. They were kind and did all they could, but we ended up waiting upwards of 10 minutes until another lady finally showed up. She came up to us and asked us what we needed, didn't even apologize for us having to wait so long. On top of that everything is wildly overpriced...but unfortunately it's the only pet store close by.
