Monica sticks to her rules, but she keeps the place clean and enjoyable. Peaceful, if you don't mind a few trains going buy. Fantastic views from every spot. The lake is warm and has a lot of algae, so our kids didn't want to swim in it. Kayaking was fun, however.Restrooms: Old but kept clean and maintained.Picnic area: Tall beautiful trees provide great shade for a picnic.

We really enjoyed our stay, Monica was a great host and made us feel welcomed. Beautiful view and quiet. Plan on going again soon!

Monika was a wonderful host and keeps the grounds looking park like. We were in a 44ft 5th wheel and the only ones there for the night. Getting that lake view out the window was beautiful. Unfortunately we did not take advantage of the fishing, boat launch or facilities so I cannot comment on those. We had a great night. Thank you Monika!

This RV Park is just OK. Calling it a resort is far-fetched, as resorts have amenities. We travel all over the US from Alaska, and the price here is just too high for what is NOT offered. Also, the constant trains blowing their whistles throughout the night is something you might want to tell people up front…??

Monica is a wonderful host! The resort is beautiful! The algae, when present, actually helps the fishing. Tent camping here was great! Trains didn't bother and the showers get hotter than you'll want! Sissy loved it!

Always a wonderful trip out there. Peaceful, quiet and meet other friendly folks! Fishing is good at times. Slow at other days. Trains are fun to watch coming around the bend especially at dusk . Owner is friendly, courteous and straightforward!!! Well kept up campground and fairly priced.Restrooms: Yes with showers.Dog-friendliness: Keep on leash. Pickup after your dogs.Picnic area: Tables for a picnic.

Beautiful location. The lake alone should make this a 5 star rating. Too bad the attention to detail, cleansiness and customer service is not quite up to par.Everything - and I mean everything - is covered in spider webs, dead bugs, bird poo and cottonwood. It doesn't seem like the place gets cleaned very often. We got a nice spot right by the lake but soon realized that it's a bit odd. On one side we had water and sewer hook ups (no electricity); on the other side electricity and water (no gray water). We had to turn our RV around back and forth as our need changed during our 1 day stay.During check in the owner kept saying there is no mosquitos (or that they just go away when you settle in!) Which was completely untrue. Can't blame them for mosquitos but to try to deny them is something else.We got a picnic table and firepit on our site. I had to hose down the table in an attempt to get the cigarette filter, bird poo and other stains removed (not successful).I didn't use the bathroom / shower facilities at all, as they are pretty old, far from campsites and completely covered in spider webs, dead bugs and ... you know the rest.I asked about laundry facilities when we arrived at 5:50 pm and the owner just said the laundry hours are over!! Not sure when they start and end.I asked about boats and the owner rolled her eyes and said 'well they are $30 to use'! (she didn't really seem interested in renting them out and knew they are overpriced)WiFi is available at $3. This is the only RV park I've been at that does not include wifi in the price. She must have detected the look of surprise in my face and added that it's because it costs $100 to get a technician out here to fix it when it goes out. That sounds to me like the cost of business and not something to directly offload to the guests. The place is covered in cottonwood in May. If you think you might have allergies this may not be the place for you. There are many many bugs / mosquitos. Bring bug spray. The train nearby is pretty loud and comes very often.I really wish I could have rated this place higher because the location is amazing.

Very nice resort. Lou Ann is very friendly and polite. I didn't get to fish on this trip but I'm hoping to go back in the future. Both of the 1 & 2 bedroom cabins look nice as well. The restrooms were clean and stocked properly. I would definitely go back again.

Bathrooms are old gross and the showers are locked.the old grumpy German lady that works there made us move our trailer twice because we she said to make room. And there was only three other campers maximum that showed up!! Complained everything we did was wrong where we parked, no music, where we could park the boat. Worried about killing the grass when it was brown as all get out. Horrible customer service and informed us we need to do our part to keep the place clean??? For $70 a night I would think she. Pull handle that for us.

I spoke to a person on the phone before I arrived and asked if they could accommodate a 43’ motor home and if they had full hookups for a 50amp. They said yes.I asked if they offered any type of discount. They said no. Nothing. Not AAA, not AARP, not Good Sams, not military, senior, nor any type of ADA discounts. Ok fine. We were all tired and ready to stop.We were charged for the space. And each person. (my husband, myself, my 80 yr old gma, my 4 yr old and my disabled mother.) the only one who didn’t get charged was my 2 year old daughter and my child in my womb. We were also charged for using a debit card, which I’ve found out since is actually illegal in most states.Arrived to the site and NO 50amp hookups. It was quite beautiful though on a positive note. The sunset was breathtaking, the ducks and other fowl that landed on the lake kept my kids busy. There were no picnic tables or bbq pits.. we cooked our burgers in a pan on our stove.I gave this place 2 stars because the woman was nice and the site was pretty, but this is definitely not a “resort”. Oh! And let’s not forget the very loud trains that roar by every 20 min - 1 hour.All.Night.Long.We just left West Glacier RV Park.. same price.. they had an amazing camp store, playground, laundry facilities, multiple bathhouses, outdoor games, vending, and FULL hookups that accommodated all sizes of rigs (that require 50amp hookups) and each site had a bbq pit, picnic table and fire pit. This place has potential, but far to go to be a “resort”. First of all, there is absolutely nothing to do. If you are looking to sit and stare at the water this is the perfect place. If you have a boat, that’s great but there is too much algae to swim in it.The website said they rent row boats but she doesn’t anymore. She sold them. There is no beach area to sit at. You are not allowed to play electronics outside. We got told while watching a movie on our iPad.If you want to pay by credit card there is a fee of $2.67 a night. If you want a shower it’s $.75 for 5 mins. (This is the first place that has charged extra to shower). Also you have to pay a $5 deposit and if you don’t wipe the floor she keeps it.There is absolutely nothing in town. The only place that serves meals closes at 3:00 pm.Wood is $10 and you don’t get much, I would bring your own.Initially, we were going to stay for four nights, we decided on only three and left after two.A loud train goes by every hour, the neighbours have a rooster if you’d like to get up early and an occasional scent of manure wafts through.**UPDATED: we had no plans to sit and watch a movie. We did read, thanks for the recommendation but since there was nothing to do we finished our books. We planned to rent row boats and enjoy the lake you boast about but as you know when we arrived you advised us you don’t have any.

We stayed 1 night on way to Seattle area in May 2023. Staff was friendly but pushed for non-refundable reservations when there was only 4 people in the park. After seeing the place we would of moved on because it's not Big Rig friendly, and not park was not maintained. Pro's are shaded sites on a lake. Con's were many. 30 amp only. Bathrooms were not maintained. Most sites had no tables or fire rings. But the biggest con is the price $65.00 plus tax = $70.00. It should be around $40.00 for what you get. We would not return because of price.

In response to your response of my husbands review. We would have preferred to not sit and watch a movie. We had planned to go out in rowboats that you had advertised on your website. When we arrived, that’s when we found out you had not updated your website. As much as I love reading, I cannot spend 12 hours reading. But thank you for the recommendation.

If you are looking to fish while camping this is not the best campsite the area designated for fishing is really small and there's normally on a good day 7 people and it feels really crowded although they do have a good selection of bait and gear in their little shop but besides the fishing the camp is really nice and the people are friendly

Stopped I'm for 2 minutes to let my dog have a drink of water out of the lake and was immediately pounced upon by some old nag complaining I parked on her grass......it was literally right next to the boat launch. Mind you there was NO sign stating not to park in it. I told her that we were leaving right away and she was very very agitated that I had the nerve to park on her grass. I told her to put up a sign so this doesn't happen again. I was than told not to return. Don't worry, your very empty park with green lake water is plenty to keep me away, lol.

I Was really hoping for a great few days away and relax. This lake may be good for RV and Trailers BUT sucked for tents. NO green grass. Had to chase any shade. And where there is green grass owner right over to tell you NOTHING on the hill were the green grass is.... And in the 2 days we stayed did not see 1 camper on the green grass with all the trees and shade. There is a major bug problem. NO good fishing in less you have a boat. Not worth $90 yes this is my opinion thanks

I camped there two years in a row, both times late in the season. This was several years ago. The owner was friendly and accomodating, the price was reasonable. Seems to me the showers were closed, but the bathroom was clean enough. I was able to choose where I wanted to park, and had a firepit. Few other guests. I love the trains, and they aren't terribly loud.It is a beautiful spot, and I would certainly camp there again. Would probably give it five stars if the facilities were a little more updated. But I had no complaints whatsoever, aside from maybe not having a shower.I think many people leaving bad reviews are either Karens or are not very experiemced campers. Could it be better? Sure. Need it be? Absolutely not - I loved the place!

This place is beautiful. The owner keeps the campgrounds nice and clean. She let us pick our spot out of three different ones. Actually she was super nice and never harassed us once. We dropped the deck on our Toyhauler and enjoyed a nice sunset over the lake. The only drawback is the trains running all night. Most of the trains didn’t honk their horn but a couple of them blasted them enough to wake us up. Not a fan of the trains but the place itself was awesome.

Do yourself a favor. Book somewhere else that deserves your money.I was going to stay here one night. I knew there would be issues when I booked it a couple weeks ago. The person on the phone kept raising the price every time I spoke with her. Adding fees. I should have trusted my gut and moved on. Five days in advance, I called to cancel my one-night stay. It was the same person again and she said I had to let them know 2 weeks in advance to cancel. For one night. Is this ridiculous to anyone else? I was upset, I expressed as much on the phone. I told her my name and to cancel it and hung up. She had my card from when I booked it – common for RV parks to do that in case you’re a no show which is what she told me when she took my card bc I planned to pay cash when I got there. She never mentioned the TWO-WEEK CANCELLATION POLICY. She said I should have seen it on the website. I went back to check, it is on the website by the way so before you book here read every page of the website I guess instead of trusting who you are talking to on the phone. Well, I look on my bank statement after we spoke and she charged my card after we got off the phone! And raised the price again! It was MORE than what I was quoted on the phone. Im not even staying there and they have my money. VERY money focused park. This is not the norm for RV parks, every other park I’ve worked with whether I booked with them or not has been more than reasonable with their cancellation policies and working with their clients. Unless you are DESPERATE, pass on this park.

Monika the host, was fantastic! Greeted us with a warm welcome. We practiced our German with her. You park your rig on the grass. We appreciated the lack of dust. The grounds are beautifully kept and there is grass everywhere..if u love to fish this is the place! Don't let the other remarks detour you. We even had a pizza party with other campers. Yes there are mosquitoes, yes, it gets windy at times, yes, there are trains that go by. If you have a problem with natural occurrences then you shouldn't be camping or complaining about them in the first place. It is a great place to recharge and watch the sunset in your trailer or RV. We will definitely be back!! Thank you Monika!! Naomi and Justin Clarke

We had such a delightful time staying at Sprague Lake Resort! Monica was as friendly as could be and so helpful. The grounds were so clean and kept up. Actual grass for each site! So very peaceful, the lake was beautiful! One of our traveling companions is a painter and he was in heaven with so many amazing views. We will definitely come back again if in the area!

We were cruising from Bandon to Montana. This campground was about the halfway mark for us. My friend googled campgrounds and called this one. Once you get off the freeway, you drive through the quaint little town of Sprague that’s a throwback to the early 1900’s. Anyway, we rolled in around 6:45pm. The owner waited for us. We got to choose our own spot since there weren’t many people there. We had views of the lake from our site. Our dogs got to roam around our campground which was nice. The train is not a nuisance at all. But the little flying insects ARE mosquitos. I have bites all over my body to prove it so make sure to bug-proof yourself. The lake did have lots of algae. Beautiful campground though with tall trees to shade campgrounds. We would definitely go back.

We originally planned to stay two nights but ended up staying there. I love this place! All the sites are close to the lake and most all have a view. The park is well kept up and peaceful. There are train tracks across the lake but they didn't keep us awake nor were bothersome during the day. It was easy launching our kayaks and the lake conditions were very good. People bank fishing we're catching. This was supposed to be a stop over on our journey but it ended up being a place I hated to leave.

My husband and I spent one night here after a long trip back from Yellowstone. The resort is very pretty - all the camping is on trimmed green grass dotted with huge, old trees. We were the only ones there initially and chose a nice spot right by the lake for our 26' trailer. The air off the lake was so fresh and nice. We saw a cute water otter and many pelicans. Our dogs loved the grass to run around in. It was peaceful and we were able to have a campfire which was really nice. The train across the lake does run every once in a while but I don't remember it running once after we went to bed. (It doesn't blow a whistle.) But I like the sound of trains in the distance so it didn't bother me anyway. The manager was very nice and we have no complaints. The town of Sprague has dried up and it made me sad that all these nice little farming communities are cut off by freeways now and can't survive. We would stay there again.

Peace, quiet, green beautiful. This place is a slice of heaven for $48 a night.Monica the host is a lovely lady that you can tell works hard to maintain the beauty and serenity of the resort.I am amazed at some of the comment because I have seen nothing like what they discribe. My husband and I have been driving back from South Dakota and decided to stop for the night. We lucked out on this place! Monica listened to us then showed us a spot she knew we would love.(I don’t think there’s a bad view in this park).I can only assume that the bad reviews were from someone ..... (well I’ll just leave it there)Note to Monica : we will be regular visitors even though we live 5 hours away. We are amazed at the loving care that has been put in this park. And appreciate you for maintaining such a beautiful “piece of heaven)Elmer and Cheryl
