I was there last night my neighborhood, I have never been so disrespected there was two people waiting for assistance I didn't know if anyone was coming so I said help need some help here a long-haired gentleman wearing a safety vest said I know dude in the most disrespectful tone I've never been disrespected by any store clerk ever and I've dealt with some disrespectful I will say Arabian people from the Arabian peninsula not yes sir we are coming not I know someone is on their way. I'm a rougher and I just got off the roof of my face was dirty but you can't judge a book by its cover you're supposed to treat everybody that's a paying customer with respect.I will go out of my way to avoid that store from now on I will go to the Safeway on Hamilton

Avoid this Safeway. Awful excuse for management. Was follow out of the store and taken photos of while loading my vehicle after self checking out and swapping what was rotting lemons on my way out the door. Accused of stealing and upon offering my receipt she immediately began to walk away.

Safeway is consistent and reliable. Good quality brand. Only reason for 4 stars is their app and digital only coupons can be difficult and the app unpredictable. Be sure and check your receipt before leaving to make sure you get the savings they offer.

This store doesn’t even have baskets for it’s shoppers. Half the carts don’t work either. This place is ghetto, and cheap. Not enough I have to check out my own things, I can’t even have adequate equipment to shop with.

The liquor section has a button to get someone to help. They guy was under age so he could only do 1 person at a time cuz he has to walk it back up to the cashier. A line for that spot. But it was clean and service was friendly.

Very much a family atmosphere here, when I was visiting today I happened to hear a quiet happy birthday to one of their own, a lovely young lady named Kayla. It slowly escalated into a tumultuous uproar of happy birthday's over the P.A.😁 very happy environment, a shoplifter tried to ungratefully take a couple of bottles of liquor and when caught at the door burst into a ball of swearing and violence but he was calmed down and asked to leave. Overall great prices and quality people, highly recommend.

Cashiers have NO niceties. No thank you, no hello, zero. They always seem crabby.The meat department experienced last night was pitiful.It’s as if the customers are a nuisance to the workers.

One of the absolute worst grocery stores in not just Spokane but probably the planet. I would argue they remain open because of their location. Spokane Transit Authority’s refusal to put a bus line all the way down E Empire makes them the only real grocery store in the area. The next closest one via a bus is yet another Safeway. It’s an awful store where you are constantly searching for food that is edible. Do not walk, RUN to anywhere else.

I just got harassed by a big fat thing and it's 6 foot dumb sidekickfor putting my groceries in a bag like i always do.its always the ugly ones.spokompton keeops getting worse.i just spent $300 at yokes. Not going back to Safeway

This is a review for their pharmacy:I've used this pharmacy before with no issues. Today, plenty of issues. My parents, my fiance and I went in with appointments for the covid and flu shots. 2 hours later, and lots of screw ups later, my parents and fiance got their shots. The biggest screw up was that the original tech checking us in apparently put me and my insurance under the WRONG patient. They didn't even notice until the pharmacist came in and asked for this other patient along with my fiance. We were the only two in the room. The pharmacist had me go back to re-check in and that's when the new tech discovered what had happened. She was nice, she was the only shining light in this entire debacle. She was able to go in and see that the original tech had put all my insurance info under this other patient, and I could tell she was unhappy having to deal with this major screw up. But she was pleasant to me and we got it figured out. But in the end I still couldn't get my covid or flu shot as apparently medicare part B was down.

I tried to get some salmon from the butchers. I spent nearly 20 minutes trying to get the yung lady with the flowers on her headband. Got ignore every time she passed. All ways helped wemon over men. Constantly had shown an attitude to several customers. Other times she would stand there looking at me without saying anything or reply after being politely asked if she was free.There is a man in the same area that is tall, slim, and has a little studier. He is awesome! I see him constantly helping everyone. All ways friendly, well informed, and a big help.

Their lost prevention security and employees profile people before or as soon as customers walk in the door. And have multiple security employees follow around a single person that's not doing anything or causing any harm rather than follow the stores actual thieves that go in the store!!!

i have been shopping at this store since it was across the street and loved it but here of late its not so good,,half of the produce is bad most of the time,,,and now they have decided who does and does not get the 30% off tickets used at the register.went to get some stuff and it was noticeably more than my tally,,,got home and 3of the 4 were not scanned( princesses snagged a nail on the belt so she was rightfully upset) hence im out 10 dollars as i never keep receipts (they are full of pva) ....the moral of this story is THEY dont care so watch them

I have shopped at this store since 1990, Today, Denise told me to shop elsewhere if I didn't like what she put out. She was so upset she called me by another name, like Gloria, probably her last customer with a complaint. I purchased a chicken that was dry & over cooked, She was in denial & blaming me for the complaints, & that I needed to bring the product back. I'm 85 years, disabled, & home bound, it is impossible to take a delivered product back.I did tell them of the broken eggs in the cardboard carton broken on one end, red grapes were soft, the green were solid. I asked for more lettuce on my sandwich, she said she watched what was made especially by hand "just for me," & I wasn't charged, I "told" her to charge me; also I asked her if she watched as the "one wilted piece of lettuce was put on my sandwich". This lady must of had a bad day, she told me not to order from the deli anymore, I said. in other words shop elsewhere...Denise said yes; well, I'm sorry, I thought I was being helpful by letting Safeway know someone wasn't holding up Safeway's past customer service. Maybe the machine that loaded the egg cartons was causing the corner 2 eggs to be cracked, or whatever....

Pretty easy going in and out. Bit of excessive redirection in the later hours all the cash registers and entryways blocked off like a maze.... But I get it. Just a little ridiculous that if you want an apple you have to enter on the produce side, then go clear to the other end to enter the actual market area, work your way BACK to the produce, then BACK to the opposite end to pay, and finally AGAIN to the produce side to exit. Just hope your wife don't get a late night craving for fruit...

Great atmosphere!! Great service too! They always have sales going on. The employees are nice and a great attitude. They have Banner Bank branch in there. It is in the front as well as a Starbucks.

Safeway was good, kinda of disappointed I won 15 in paper/ cleaning supplies with the latest game. Went and got food then almost 20 in cleaning supplies, well they took 15 off my food rather than they cleaning stuff, my food should have been 51, i barely had enough cash to pay for that stuff so i wish they would tell me people to ring it separately if using EBT.

One of the checkers paid for the balance of my groceries when I was about $8 short! Amazing act of selflessness and generosity. I vow to pledge this and pay that amount forward the very next opportunity that arises. Thank You from the bottom of my heart, (nameless Safeway employee) On or about Jan 10th at the Market Location. I was stunned.

Been a local grocery for years, for a family of 4. Barb, has been awesome over the years, and we seek her out when we check out. Recently, we have started avoiding the store, mostly due to the customer types that have started showing up in the parking lot. I don't feel like my car is safe. I know that is not their fault, but I just don't like to to chance it.As of 2023, it has gotten worse. They should close at dark, and have cops park in the lot.

Of all the places I go, for whatever reason I have bad luck at Safeway. The employees are consistently...well let's say difficult. But honestly I appreciate that Safeway will hire the unhireble. Just get in, get out, don't ask questions and use the self checkout. That's what I tell myself every time I go, cuz its the closest store to my house.
