We genuinely love this Safeway store. They have the best staff, always eager to help customers with any questions. Everything about this location invites us to come back and shop again and again. Meat, produce, floral, and grocery departments are consistently well stocked with quality goods. Customer service personnel are friendly and service oriented. Management is always available to help in any way. Their employees feel like family after countless years of shopping at this location. The Safeway store at 902 W. Francis in Spokane, WA is simply the best !!!

I always love this safeway in spokane. They are the one with the best up to date full stock. I got my first pickup order for $40 for all of this because of a coupon save30 at checkout as well as the initial percentage off your first order through the app. Ricky Bobby brought out my order and was amazing, polite and super helpful!!!!

Definitely the most affordable grocery store in the area and has good selection. Downside is it’s clear they run on a skeleton crew as there is usually only 1 or 2 registers open, sometimes none at all, which is made worse by there being only 4 self checkouts. So lines can get long

We want everyone to know how much we appreciate Safeways store manager Chris Tober. Our family friend, who is 72 years old, was being scammed into buying 10,000 dollars worth of gift cards and he stopped it. He asked her the right questions and told her she was being scammed. Thank you so much for being a stellar human and want everyone to know you are our hero. Thank you Chris Tober and all the wonderful people who work at our local Safeway.

Apparently you have to call and have empty boxes reserved even the 3 small empty ones in the cart. And the 2. Boys in the front area did not even acknowledge me they were wrapped up in conversation with each other to even pretend to act professional. Francis and Monroe at 12 am on Feb 2 ,2024

The store is great. However, I hate the fact that Safeway forces you to go through the automated checkouts. 10 AM on a Sunday and there are no live bodies helping customers. Pathetic and atrocious customer service.

Every time i use a store coupon from the meat department, it's a hassle. A week ago, I wad told to scan the coupon at the end because they had to check it. Today, I did just that, and the self checkout clerk rudely told me I had to scan the coupon right after I scanned the item. Then she proceeded to tell two more times, getting louder each time. I don't work for her, I'm sure it's her job to help us not just stand there and do nothing.

They dont close until 12 which is nice. Good selection, udeal for quick trips. Not quite as affordable as winco walmart or costco. But we do alot of shopping and quick runs and its convenient

I went to get two coffees from Starbucks and there was a level of immaturity that was ridiculous. The barista was yelling at a Safeway worker, who was eating sugar packets and throwing them at the barista. They along with a customer (who's the mother of the barista) was cursing and being overly loud and dramatic. It not only made me uncomfortable, but several people sitting at the tables look unhappy. Unprofessional and needs to be reprimanded.

Horrible experience they wouldn't let me use the restroom. I take a water pill. They said I had to wait an hour for it to open. I'm sickly and dying so I try to beat the heat and shop in the early morning. Couldn't wait a hour to pee. They don't open bathroom till 9am. So I took my money to WinCo down the street were I was aloud to pee. Will not be shopping here ever again.

Safeway at Shadle is a much cleaner store then this one. I was disappointed in their fresh veggie section. Pictures show the lack of produce.

This store was remodeled recently. The atmosphere feels fresh. If you are like me grocery shopping isn't my favorite, but having a convenient location for those in Indian Trail and 5 mile area makes it so much nicer. The store has a good selection, plants, and a Starbucks.

I was screamed by a "courtesy clerk" for not mentioning I had reusable bags (doesn't everybody?). I complained about the lack of professionalism and was told that employee has special needs and therefore they can't do anything about it.I love that they are hiring differently-abled and neurodiverse individuals. If those individuals are not capable of interacting with customers politely, then they shouldn't be interacting with the public, point blank, period.And hey, if I had been rude, that's on me. But I literally said, "Oh shoot, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were bagging, I have bags."And the reply I got was hands-to-face "OH. MY. GODDDDDD! Sorry doesn't fix it!"Won't be back.5 stars if you like being confronted and made to feel stupid.

Not bad. Not great. I wish I didn't have to use their app to scan barcodes to get the "digital" deals. Their health part of their app is pretty cool. Signing up for free flu shot appointments in their app is quick and easy.

Been shopping here for years. It's never been the best store, but prices were OK and it was close. Fast forward 2023... Feels like borderline price gouging. Almost everything in the store has doubled in price. They have a "sale" sticker on almost all items to trick you into feeling like you get a deal. The produce has never been "fresh". They wait as long as possible before putting out new stuff. You basically buy it as it expires. The Meat dept. Is underwhelming. Same stuff in the "fresh" case for over a week. Often out of hamburger, chicken and other staple cuts. But my biggest gripe is that everything is double what it was. It's not inflation. They are literally double other stores within 5 miles. PS never had issues with the staff. The store is just too expensive for the low-mid class families that live around it.

Although I like Safeway's food and choices, I was very unhappy when I again stopped by last night and found the only check out choice was Self-Checkout. (Two workers were standing around watching us) I totally understand that many people love this choice but I do not like that people are laid off or not hired so that I can check myself out. Having both choices is fine.I go to other grocery stores I like (Winco, for example) for great foods and less expensive prices where they check and I bag my own groceries. That is my choice for living economically. But to pay primium prices that are higher than many full service stores and ALSO have to check and bag my own groceries so Safeway doesn't pay my community members to work is just not right. I've decided to check first when entering a store to make sure that people are working some checkout counters before choosing my needed items. If not, I will not shop there and will go to another store. I firmly believe that we need to protect our workers.

This is probably the worst safeway in terms of best by dates. Everything I tried to buy in their deli section was past due. A couple weeks ago I bought lunch meat without looking at the best by date and once I was home I discovered it was 2 weeks past due. Disgusting and a waste of almost 10 bucks.

Always hate going to the store however this safeway is not so uninviting the parking lot is clean and my convertible is safe even with the top down the employees are helpful always smiles on their faces I am comfortable warm happy when I go there I highly recommend

Customer service good. Prices are astronomical compared to Trader Joes, Winco and Walmart...even Natural Grocery is less expensive. Also has a small selection compared. Works in a pinch. I refused to buy meat there though it was beyond expensive for average meat and just waited till Monday.

Friendly staff. Seem to have everything I need. Didn't need much help but anytime I seen staff they would politely ask if I needed anything. Not as crowded as other grocery stores. My preferred place to shop.

Starting to become a worthless place to go to every time I go there now employees just want to stand around and chit chat and use self-checkout lines for the customers that self-checkout sure made all the employees lazy and not give a thought about customers I'll take my money elsewere

The produce here is awful. Premium prices for moldy products.Just saw your reply. When can I speak with your management team? My friend just purchased a watermelon from your location. Cut it open. It had a yellow rind. The flesh inside was not whole but cracked. No sweet smell.

The store was okay, there were a few things that need fixed, including Keeping fruit fresh (nectarines and plums had fruit flies on them) and the chicken tenders were slightly undercooked (meat was fine, but the batter was still slightly doughy), but otherwise I had no other issues.
