While in Spokane today I stopped into Safeway/Albertsons. I came in for fresh produce and sushi. The produce department was great, the sushi also.The store was clean and the flower arrangements beautiful. Also both the salad and sushi purchases were more than 1/2 priced less than Yokes. Only 1 cashier for non self service in the middle of the afternoon they could have added another to the schedule as I never do self service.

Had another bad experience here last night,made a quick run in to get a few things for a sick pet. Was no option but self check out,I struggled with the process and the two employees monitoring things just stood there and glared @ me. It was pretty apparent I was having issues,I had a really hard time walking away without a comment of my own towards the 2. Prices are also incredibly high,worst store in the area.

When the heck did, Mac and cheese jump to 3.95 a box. So As I glanced around I found they seem to be quite a bit higher in price then other grocery stores in the area. I like their chicken but probably won't make a daily choice to shop there any longer. Also they were out or very limited on ALOT of daily staples.

A large safeway store, clean and modern. Employees are friendly. You can get some good bargains if you are willing to do their digital coupons on your phone.

Organized and the staff is nice. The parking lot has a lot of spots to park but very small lanes. The gentleman at the cashier stand offered me a coupon for one of the items I was buying to make it cheaper, shop kick is an app that works for Safeway and it's a hot spot for location based games like pokemon go and the walking dead our world. The fact it's in a strip mall is nice too. Get your hair, your wine, and your nutrition or sweat tooth fix all in one place.

In the past I shopped Safeway regardless of the higher prices over other stores because they were always well-maintained, stocked, clean, and had mindful staff. My shopping trip tonight was disappointing. The fresh fruits and vegetables section was not clean. Several gnats were flying around, the cilantro was sitting in wet and the bin needed cleaning. The ice cream freezers had not been wiped clean from the cartons leaving residue on the shelves.

Safeway is usually the same wherever you go.. Stores are clean and marked well. Food is off good variety.. However the thing that makes this place stand apart are the men and woman they hire.. Friendly, hard working, Kind and always ready to assist. This Safeway is worth a stop. Just my opinion tho..

Their produce department has really improved. I used to find pretty sad organic stuff but this time everything was fresh and well presented. I was only going to buy bananas but bought salad fixings and more. Staff there is super friendly too!

Best bakery. They have gluten free every day. Meats are pretty good as well. Reasonable pricing. Update: went for bar b que meats today. Damn, way better than what we've been getting lately elsewhere. Chicken legs were seasoned awesome to just put on the grill. Must have been a meat sale as well that day. Paid about half after the member savings. Sirloins we're on sale too, haven't tried them yet but they look lean!

I like the variety of Safeway. The layout is familiar no matter the town. The waiting-to-checkout area is often too crowded. Safeway has the best fresh bagels and fun options in the deli. I can always find special cheeses. Ooh! I also appreciate the fresh chopped vegetables. Like ready-to-go fajita or stir-fry veggies.. Fresh green beans and garlic butter ready to toss into the pan. Love it.

It's Safeway, we use them enough for great coupons and gas savings. They also have some.of the best bacon around. Secondly the local one has some salt vinegar wings......I cannot begin to explain the mental regression that occurs. It left me more beast than man. Definitely recommend them!

I had fried chicken at another safeway store, and the chicken was delicious. The chicken at this particular safeway was gross. The chicken was dark. The only reason for dark chicken is because the grease is old or they fried the chicken twice, making the chicken dark. Either way, it is extremely unhealthy to eat fried chicken cooked twice in grease or have it cooked in old grease.

Easy parking, plenty of handicapped accessible parking. There is a wide selection of products in stock, the floral dept is well stocked with fresh flowers and arrangements, and there is also a US Bank located inside. ( My 3 favorite reasons for shopping here are banking, floral and their meat dept.)

First off I Want to say I'm sorry for any one that has to work on Christmas eve! But at the same time that is your job! And you should be able to do it no matter what day it is without being obviously rude right out the gate to your customers! I literally just drove all the way from usk WA as fast and safe as I could in this terrible weather to get a spiral ham for Christmas dinner tomorrow night before all the stores closed! I have 15 min before that window is closed! But I make it yeah! Except that the moment I walked through the door this woman basically screamed at me "We're closed!' I was like what! Almost jumping! She was so loud! Then another lady who was actually working looks over at me and says unless you can get your shopping done in 5 min! I said I can! Because after all I was only there for a HAM! Why on earth would it be your first reaction to scream at customers that your closed 15 min before closing time!? I've never had anyone ever do that to me in a large grocery store before! I get that it's Christmas and you Want to go home but... come on! Really!?

Gotta love driving over 30 miles, having checked Google Maps for hours of operation, closes at 1am, verified by phone call 4 weeks prior...Then double checked the Safeway website, which verified the 1am closing time...Only to be greeted by the manager telling me they've been closing at midnight since Jan 1st! 🤯 🤬

Love the staff here, store is always welcoming and clean. Each time I go in they have the shelves well stocked and priced right. My kids and I love the bakery, especially the pistachio muffins. Kathy and Shannon are wonderful women and always good to my kids when we go for our "donut day"

Sorry we don't remember his name - the young man in the deli was incredibly helpful. We were there on Friday, the 4th of November at about 5:30. Wish he was working at the store on 29th - great employee for that company!
