OH,MY,GAWD!!!You guys need to start all the way over!I went in today to grab some baked and fried chicken for dinner.I asked the young lady how long of a wait for fresh fried,she said 8 minutes. I went and grabbed a few more items and came back to the deli,got my food and went home.When i got home literally 3 mins later I opened the fried chicken mind you this was right out of the fryer,or broaster,what ever they use.The chicken was completely wet with oil, not crispy just wet with the skin sagging off of it.I dont even know what to say!!!I will never ever use that deli for anything thing else EVER!I took a image of the food I recieved but can't seem to post it.Nevertheless very bad experience.Please dont let my review influence anyone,I suggest you have your own experience, and make your own judgment.

Blown away by Danielle in the bakery! She absolutely nailed it! My daughter wanted a black spiderman cake for her birthday and Danielle went above and beyond and designed her an awesome cake. It was also delicious👌🏻😉. Really grateful and thank you Danielle! We will be back for sure!

Because the Safeway on 29th is such a beautiful store I decided to order the Thanksgiving Dinner for 2 offered.DO NOT buy this dinner under any circumstances. The turkey breast was good and easy..the dressing, potatoes and gravy were a gelatinous mess...no color or flavor of any kind.My dog would not even try the gravy.We ended up going to the Safeway near her house, got new ingredients and cooking our own new dinner which turned out great.

Historically, I've been shopping here for years, as I live close by. But lately I've been going here less and less, and the last few times I walked in, looked at the complete lack of baskets to shop with, and left to go elsewhere. As someone who walks, I do not use full sized carts so that I don't accidentally buy more weight than I can carry in one trip and end up injured. So lack of baskets is a 100% no-shop-here event. This is not the first time this location has decided to entirely remove baskets for several months, and I stopped shopping here then too. The other reason I don't shop here much anymore is the lack of cashiers and attempts to force me to go through a self checkout. If you aren't going to pay me to use a machine that always breaks the moment I get within 2 feet of it, I'm not going to go through the hassle of using it!

I like Safeway. Probably just a niche I fell I to for one reason or another but it's where I typically go. I buy heavily fresh food items only and I like their selection and produce products. They have a good variety and quantity usually. Specifically this store. It's very difficult to find broccolette anywhere else actually and we love it.

I tried to load money on my card at this location which I’ve done many times before and the woman at the front was not only rude towards me she refused to load the money. If the employees don’t have the ability to completely know how all the systems work maybe they shouldn’t be running that area of the store.

The employees go to the surrounding stores in the parking lot and are harassing there customers about where they park and threaten to have them towed if there in the online parking spots when most of the time its there customers parking in the online spots and going in safeway. Update every other parking stall has shopping carts sitting in them. If they're paying attention to the online parking spots so much why aren't they paying attention to the shopping carts blocking the parking spots? These parking lot monitors really need to get their stuff together

I really like the Safeway on 29th on the South Hill. The employees are all kind and courteous. Aubrey in particular is so helpful and she does so many things at the store to help the store look nice and run efficiently.

Mostly fine but sometimes there is rotten produce on the shelves and sale items disappear quickly without more being added to the shelf.

Great deals today @ Safeway! Came on on 07/07/23 and was absolutely amazed and touched by my cashiers kindness. McKenna (sorry if I misspelled the name). She was so kind and friendly it really turned my bad day into a positive one and made my stressful shopping experience with two kiddos much better. Thank you for your kindness it will be passed on today!

Good place to get some good quality groceries. I have gone to Safeway for many years now and have noticed that the costumer service is a little lacking and employees seem unfamiliar with how their system works. Overall, not a bad place to go.

today I have the privilege to take an elderly friend of mine who has dementia to Safeway to get some cash back to help him pay some bills. I was needing some help to try to figure out how I was going to go about this.I asked Corrien for help not only was she extremely rude but she was extremely rude to my elderly disabled friend. I know it didn't make my friend feel uncomfortable but it made me feel uncomfortable because she didn't know what was going on but it was just sad to have that interaction with her. friend I hope you have a better day.

I'm updating this by still saying yes, it's on the more expensive side for the stores around, yet still a good place to go shop for certain things. Pretty good on the customer service side, I will say though. Also great produce lately.... best corn at any store I've been to!!Their produce has looked great lately. Much better than most stores in my opinion. Helpful employees here too!

Love everything about this store. Its open and welcoming. Laid out very well. Employees are always friendly and helpful, as one was this morning when I cut my thumb on a bag dispenser. She went and got a band aid for me. One reason why I keep coming back!

I know it's not bull to rate 4 atars, but i feel bad. The reason for a missing star is that at night, they seem very understaffed; and it forces late night shoppers to funnel throigh self c/o. Like i said, i feel bad. I now it's hard for the whole store, but it was a little annoying.

Darcy assisted me in the self check out lane today. She is ALWAYS very friendly, efficient and helpful, managing several customers at once. There is always an issue with digital coupons or store discounts! Darcy is so quick to fix any issue. I really appreciate her excellent customer service. Okay store with occasionally decent sales on items. Kinda annoying lately a lot of people bringing in their dogs that aren't service animals inside the store and many of them poorly trained and noisy.

I love Safeway... very clean store... nicely laid out... good bakery... try the Signature pizza (house brand) rising crust, it is very good and often goes on sale for $4, it is a good value at normal price... check out the weekly ad, you are sure to find something you would like at a good price...

This Safeway is managed well, kept very clean, and is normally well stocked. The deli and bakery are always creating delicacies. My only complaint would be the checkout lines; they must not have enough staff, so the lines can get long if you use the old-school method.
