This crew is awesome! The gentleman at the paint counter today really knew his stuff. Recommended a great product to paint my sub floors to get ride of old pet stains before I lay knew flooring. It worked so much better than what the big box guys try to push. Highly recommend River Ridge!

This place is fantastic! We were greeted at the door, Emmett was incredibly helpful and had a lot of information when we were looking for plumbing supplies. He invited us back in and had another idea in mind if the parts we purchased didn't work out. Almost every aisle we went down we were asked if we needed assistance. You won't find service like this at box stores and the prices are pretty comparable. I'll definitely be visiting again in the future!

Did not feel welcome at this store. The younger employees who work here always treat me kindly and with respect, can't say the same for the older men who work here. I've had too many bad interactions at this point. That being said if you're looking to rent equipment, this place is reasonably priced.

River Ridge is seriously outstanding. Their service is better than any store of any kind that I've ever experienced. They even come out to my vehicle to problem solve on projects. They have parts that no one else has. Their employees are all knowledgeable and dedicated to helping customers. And all of their products; plants, tools, hardware etc are high quality. They also do framing and rent equipment. I would give them 10 stars.

Love your store, totally dislike your merchant processing policy of having to use cash for purchases less than $5. For all my small items I'll hit Ace, they'll take my debit. You may ask me how to get a 5 star from me, so I'll tell you up front; don't nickel & dime your customers. We've got budgets too!! Do the math. Take your total merchant fees and divide by your net sales, maybe something like 2-3%. Calculate every month. Pull the $5 policy and I bet you'll see a negligible change, if any. If it's a merchant processor policy call Heartland. They give great customer service. If it's the co-op, fight them. You'll lose an incalculable amount of transactions if you continue. All it takes is one visit to your competitors, giving them a chance to do it better than you, and you loose a customer for good. If you think you're the best neighborhood hardware store, then you better look ahead instead of smiling at those behind you. I've spent over $1,000 at your store, and yesterday you made me dig into my budget, because you can't measure yours.

I've never been disappointed with the friendly, helpful and knowledgeable service of this neighborhood store. They have an impressive inventory as well. I feel fortunate to live near to them when I have a project around my house that requires specific tools, hardware or materials.

This hardware store has a surprisingly wide selection of things for its size, but the super knowledgable and friendly staff are what really sets them apart. They walked me through the steps and advised me on the tools and supplies I'd need for some drywall repair that I had no idea how to approach. A+++

I admit it. Sometimes I go to this store not knowing exactly what I am going to do or how to do it. Sometimes, because the employees of River Ridge are so consistently available and helpful, I enter this store with little more than a vague idea or problem. Invariably, one or more of the highly dedicated employees will help me decide what might be possible, practical, or a more cost effective approach than I could've imagined in a month of Sundays. This hardware store really has a great selection for not being a big box store. But what really separates them from other stores is their customer service. Whenever I have an issue on a project somebody there can help walk you through it and point you in the right direction. I always look for Mike that guy seems to have an answer for everything.

I had the pleasure to discover this great little store with its incredibly helpful staff while doing a recent kitchen remodel for a friend. Each visit was greeted with a smile and the item I needed. The staff was more than helpful, they were knowledgeable about their products and really saved me time and money with their feedback. I really wish more locally owned stores like this existed.

This place had a better selection of parts than either Home Depot or Lowes. I liked their garden center, and their selection of hardware was a very no nonsense but comprehensive selection of parts. I found exactly what I needed without having to hunt. The garden center had some neat cultivars that I would have loved to take home!

Great place. Small, well-staffed, and unlike some of the big box stores, they know their trade. No hunting the aisles to find an employee who will most likely have no idea what you're talking about when you explain a project. Very good customer service, locally owned, and while there's obviously less selection than a box store, the products they offer are quality.

We went in to have a few keys cut and really enjoyed the hometown feel. The employees weren't afraid to make friendly small talk and were very helpful. After checking out we spent some time looking through their outdoor sculpture garden and nursery, and will definitely be back in the spring to pick up landscaping supplies for the yard.

I have to give this place five stars!!! I actually was HELPED during my search for an item and the person that helped me was able to determine that I probably should not buy what I was looking for based on my description of the situation. I ended up buying other things I needed instead of going to another store, they have a little bit of everything. And yes, I have gone back there time after time because I love the customer service! Also the hometown feel of a hardware store and the knowledge of those who work there!

This is one of the best hardware stores I've ever been to. Number 1 in Spokane for sure. For a little store they have a great inventory.the staff there are super friendly and eager to help but not overbearing.they charged me 6$ to fix a lock and he did it really fast.my new favorite hardware store.

Experience how hardware stores used to be. The variety of products is impressive. The staff understand plumbing, electricity, tools, renovations of 100 year old houses, etc. There's a framing shop within the store & the guy in paint is skilled. Excellent equipment rental. Staff are super friendly & knowledgeable. A great soda & candy selection. I'll go back just to listen to the 1950, '60s piped in music.

Where to begin? I just LOVE the fact that this is in our neighborhood. It's close, convenient, and friendly. Do they have everything? No, but it has just about everything you may need, and everything I've ever needed when in a pinch. The big box stores don't carry everything either, so no love lost there. They're local! The former owner was local. The new owner is local. There's a genuine interest in helping the neighborhood and contributing to the community - something that rarely happens with distant owners and impersonal corporations. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable and doesn't have a high turnover. They tend to remember their customers, if not by name, then certainly by facial recognition. I could go on at length as to why I love this store but no one really has time to read all of that. So, I'll just end with a few simple thoughts. It's a hardware store, it's in the neighborhood, and I'm very glad they're here. River Ridge Hardware is a contributing member of the community, are good stewards and makes for a great neighbor. And whether someone owns or rents their place to live there's always a need for a hardware store nearby without having to drive across town. And as far as dealing with business in the neighborhood, small business doesn't have the revolving door of tractor-trailer traffic that comes with being a big box store.

I was in the market to have my carpets cleaned and I went to several stores. (Including some big box stores). At River Ridge Hardware the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They explained to me what I would need to clean my carpets effectively, exactly how to operate said equipment, and even gave me recommendations for a carpet carpet cleaner that is more effective, and less expensive then larger known carpet shampoo. It's even produced locally, better on the environment, and safer around my pets and kids. Would highly recommend River Ridge Hardware for all your home repair needs!

Easy to make a recommendation, with a business that has core employees that exhibit drive & enthusiasm for their new boss & store owner.I find it easy to leave with the materials needed to complete the project. Why spend so much time in the truck, heading to one of the big box stores, when I can locate the right materials & return to the job site in half the time.Remember, employees expertise is of greater value than a cheaper price.Steven Earsley

It is unfortunate that my occasion of using these people was a negative one. I contacted them to get a Tool rental and because of the price of the rental I started asking the gentlemen the cost of just buying a similar product over just renting it and he cut me off and told me he was too busy with a major attitude. I'm sure that other employees at this place are great, but this particular employee was downright rude.

Sure, you could go to Home Depot or Lowe's and buy anything, but here you'll get incredibly experienced staff. Any question you have, these guys can answer. The amount of time and effort they've saved should not be undervalued.

Rented a chainsaw here and found the experience to be pleasantly convenient. The staff are cordial and informative and the pricing was fair. I would definitely rent from here again.
