Took my dog here to get a haircut. I asked for a short cut, but to leave some fur. this is… horrendous. I feel so bad for my fur baby. this is completely unacceptable, i could have done better myself.If you care about how your pup looks don’t take the pup here. I’m literally crying at how bad my dog 😭

Amazing, my pup is not an easy task at hand on top of that he was matted in a couple areas the stylist advised he was a little upset when the matted areas were touched but the stylist didn’t give up ! And he looks amazing plus she gave us great tips to prevent matting from happening in the future. 10/10 i am a raving fan and all my pups will be groomed through PETCO!!!

I was talked into paying for the extra services including a bandana. Milo was still wet when I picked him up, he didn’t have the bandana I picked out for him, and I don’t think he was even brushed because as soon as I touched him he had more hair than usual shedding. I was hoping he would have been dry and brushed out at least especially since I paid for all the extras. Will definitely not been bringing him to Petco for grooming again.

The groomer absolutely butchered my dog's face and made it uneven and choppy when I specifically asked for them to leave her face long. They left the rest of her hair long and uneven with tufts sticking out everywhere.They gave her a mullet basically. Then, they had the audacity to say she 'couldn't' stand for the whole groom so she couldn't come back there, as per their policy. She can walk for hours with no problem. She's never had an issue at a groomer before. I left feedback and it was ignored so I had to write this to warn others. She was also there almost four hours when all they did was trim her paws and attack her face with thinning shears. It was so comically bad all I could do was laugh! If you dare go here, stick with a groomer you know or ask about their experience. This groomer clearly didn't listen and seemed confused, when all I wanted was a puppy cut essentially.They also told me her hair was difficult when according to other groomers, she has he easiest type of hair to cut. I showed photos of what I wanted her face to look like and demonstrated the length I wanted for her body with my fingers. The groomer that fixed her(not from Petco) knew exactly what to do and used a half inch blade- or finger length, which is what I asked for. She was done in about 30 minutes total. Spend the extra $30 and go to a place that is not Supercuts for dogs if you don't want your dog looking like it was randomly attacked by thinning shears. Remember folks, you can always cut more hair off if it's not short enough but you can't uncut hair!

It had been a while since Blondi was groomed due to the previous groomers inability to keep proper records. Jasmine was Blondies groomer and she groomed her exactly like I had wished. Great customer service Jasmine! Thank you!

Cooper was clean and he smelled awesome. Whatever they use for shampoo or is very light and not overpowering. I've had other people groom him and he came home smelling like a perfumed covered wet dog. Not here at Petco. He was trimmed up very nicely and we're very happy with his grooming.

Several of the grooming staff left. One of the new groomers was trying to play veterinarian. Our dog has been to the veterinarian but the groomer continues to have health concerns and refused to groom the dog! Unbelievable. The dog has been cleared many times by the veterinarian. Do your job and cut the dogs hair! Dog by the way is extremely gentle and well behaved. Found a local groomer in Garland, much better!

The groomer was very personable and gentle with my elderly, blind dog. As I watched for a while at the end of her appt, I could see that my dog Annie did not appear anxious or fearful as she sometimes does in unfamiliar settings. The cut was excellent and staff was great.

Emmett was so incredibly kind and did an amazing job on my dog. Keeley, our normal groomer came in on her day off just to make my dog feel comfortable with her new groomer. This is the best grooming location Petco has!

I was confirmed an appt but forgot my rabies vac paperwork, but was given 15 minutes to go get what I was to provide. I returned 17 minutes later. They refused my appt saying they were overbooked and whoever booked me, is now gone. Not my fault. Both groomers there were awful in explaining I was wrong and that no one would have held my appt. I said “over 2 minutes”? I was appalled. Not only that the groomers were rude. The manager stepped in but was so inexperienced he couldn’t give any direction. I asked he call me back on a reschedule. I didn’t hear back, so I called. His name is Wesley, groomer was Chandra. He said there was nothing he or she could do. Next appt was not until 10-12. Mind you, I have a wedding my pup was in on 10-8. I was upset. Wesley had no empathy and knowing I was more than furious over the phone, he called me Karen!! Nothing worse than disrespect on all the Karen’s out there. It’s gross. I’ll never do business with Petco. The leader, with no experience, had no business in his role. This sorry soul should be trained. Wesley is in his 20s and has no backbone or leadership.

I asked for the upgrade package of ear cleaning, nails and teeth but only got 2 out of the 3 services. so ended up paying more. I asked that only her rear end hair is cut but her whole body hair was cut. Everytime I use the grooming service there is always an increase in price because of a change in the spa package or the way upgrade services are charged and the same services i used for the last year for the same dogs are priced differently each and every time I use your grooming service. Be transparent and consistent even if the pet grooming business is competitive enough for you to charge exorbitant prices.

After dropping my Springer off last year, went to car could not find my keys, went back inside to see if my keys were left on counter, no one remember any keys. Long story short, after searching frantically and the one person continuing to say my keys were not there, I had to hire a key company to come to Petco make me a new set at the tune on $260.00. I returned later to pick up my dog and my keys showed up somewhere and I was told they had been placed in the back of the drawer in the front. I will never go back to that place ever again. They lied and did not apologized for unprofessional behavior.

The Grooming services are great at the 29th petco! Santana is the groomer, she does a fantastic job, listens to us on what we want done and takes care of our pet as if he was her own. Highly recommend her and the 29th grooming staff!

You just can’t rely on them. I have tried to get my dogs nails trimmed for over 3 months driving up there wasting gas, only to find each time a posted note instead of an open sign??!!! They keep changing hours and services poor management!
