The selection here is very good for just about everything. Plenty of toys, good amount of collars/accessories and every food/snack you can think of. The staff here have been excellent to us. Each time we have been asked if we need help and when we visit with our dog they are all asking about her and connecting with us on a personal level. The only complaint we could possibly have is the amount of stock that they have in the aisles waiting to be unloaded. This hasn’t hindered our ability to shop but it’s an eyesore and could affect others ability to get to what they need. Parking is also easy as there are always spots close to the entrance and no major stores next door competing for parking spots.

We have all over the country and this Petco is by far the best.We have taken in our dogs for grooming 3 times now and they always get it right.They listen to what we ask for.We did the valley location once and will never go again, they were terrible.Thank you for the excellent grooming!!

I prefer Petsmart to Petco. The pet greens here are usually withered and in bad shape, plus they are $1 more than elsewhere. They have a good selection of natural pet foods here, but do not carry all the brands I use.

They currently have an ich outbreak in at least their oranda goldfish tanks. Both fish I got here died from it in a new tank with all new equipment. I called to warn them about it but was dismissed. Always quarantine new fish especially from commercial stores… learned my lesson. I’ll be getting future fish from local stores. The photo shows the white spots (ich). Everything else not related to fish seemed to be nice at this store though.

We took our dog to get groomed for the first time here yesterday. I was nervous because she is a bit skittish with new people and experiences but they said she did a great job. That tells me that they were patient, kind, and loving to her and made her comfortable! She smells great, her teeth look good and her nails are clipped perfectly. I believe Santana is who groomed our Ziva. She went the extra mile and asked if Ziva could have a bandana and of course, I said yes. She looked so cute!! Thank you Santana and Petco, we will be back in 4-6 weeks! :)

Not impressed with my grooming experience unfortunately. It was $100.00 + tip, and I really don't feel his hair was cut. I believe they gave him a bath, sanitary trim, teeth brushed, nails clipped at the very most. Based on the rest of the owner responses i'm sure i'll get some automated "we're sorry to hear.." (That is not a sufficient reply to customers, it's 2024)We recently moved here and my beloved small business groomer back home did SO much better of a job for 1/2 the price. This grooming service is a rip off if you're not familiar with the industry. Additionally, I would like to add our groomer was very nice and professional but she claimed my dog made his own toenail bleed by "scratching the crate" and not by her accidentally cutting his nail a bit short during the trim. I would have appreciated honesty at the very least. I'm no Karen, but I would never bring my dog back here. No harm done, but they're definitely ripping you off.

I want to preface this by saying I love the staff at this location, everyone is very helpful and friendly. I don’t think this issue has anything to do with the staff, however the massive amount of freshly delivered inventory that is blocking the majority of the aisles in this location makes it difficult to shop here. Almost every time I visit this location, 2/3 of the aisles have huge pallets of inventory stacked floor to ceiling making it impossible to browse or retrieve items. Maybe corporate management needs to get a stock team hired or get a larger delivery area set up? Love this store, but these issues need to be addressed.

Wow this was a waste of time and a waste. They don't have s*** for s*** you can get all their kenneling stuff and everything that's in this store online for way cheaper through other stores this s*** should be shut down because they don't have anything on hands at hands for decent affordable pricing in the store for cats or dogs

I placed an order for delivery but received an email that said it would be delayed. I needed dog food asap so I went to this location to see if I could pick it up. There was a girl who was new and needed to ask the manager for assistance. The manager was not kind at all and girl that asked for help seemed apprehensive to ask. The manager passed me off, if you could call it that, to someone else who was very helpful and kind. But the manager was awful. Customer service is not so great these days at a lot of places, and when you have management that act like customers are an inconvenience, it’s no wonder.

This place is insane, I went to buy a hamster for my son tonight, we picked one out and she walked me two feet from where the hamsters were and pointed at a hamster cage setup and asked me if this was what we had and I said Yes! Just bigger and they connect, she then told me that she would not sell me a hamster, and would never sell one of their hamsters with a cage they literally sell 2 ft away from the hamsters. Then she lectured me and compared it to a gas station that sells cigarettes, what?! I said yea except the gas station is in business to sell cigarettes so they do, and your in the business of selling hamsters- not interrogating customers about their cage setups- that you literally sell there for hamsters (why even sell the cages) weird, just weird! Definitely don’t recommend go to pet smart for a $20 hamster. They have better breeds and better employees.

The store unfortunately smells of lavender so I have to be in and out due to allergies. However, they always have someone at the checkout though. If you're like me and have the rare allergy to lavender, later on in the evenings there isn't a big line and you might be able to get in and out in under 10 minutes.

I was refused service after years of patronship...They have a "new policy"(which I was later told has been in place for 10+ years?)That if they can't look in my dogs mouth to check all his teeth then they cannot take him.I explained that I've been coming here for a few years now and haven't had a problem. Also, my dog sees a vet frequently and gets regular dental check ups/care.I also was confused that they preform this assessment in a very stimulating environment, the front counter, with other people talking and dogs around. I asked them if they had a quiet place to get to know him and check the things they need to check. They refused and said it's "policy"...Very disappointing because I had previously thought the service was pretty good. I'm bummed they refused my dog because of an unfair assessment.

We have taken one of our dogs to Petco on the South Hill a few times since sometimes it is difficult to get in with our normal groomer. Each time has been mediocre, maybe three times but it is relatively close and easy to get an appointment, this time however after paying (the kid at the front was also not friendly and seemed annoyed at being there and handed the lady in front of me who was older a huge bag of dog food without offer and help to carry it) the groomer told me that they couldn't groom our dog anymore becuase our dog "bit" the groomer "unprovoked" after she groomed his foot. We also told them that his feet are sensitive and usually they leave them long. The groomer said our dog, who has never once in his ten years, bitten or been aggressive toward people or other animals and we have another dog and four cats and my parents have three dogs who interact with our dog all the time none of them are ever bitey, had bitten her. Also she was told to about his feet. He has never bitten anyone even when they touch his feet but he is sensitive about them. Also they tried to weigh our dog today so they could categorize him as XL and charge more which seems shady. Hes a large golden mix seem we will just have to good back to the regular groomers at Julia's Jungle.

Came here for feeders - but they were all molding and dead.Feeders need to be cared for too. This isn't a good look for a store built around compassion and care for animals.Just pop some protein and hydrate in there.

For the 5th time in 6 months, my delivery order is missing cat food I paid for when ordering. I've never called in, understanding that this happens and each time has been an item or two under $7 total. This time my missing item is $33. I called and am told I cannot get this delivery replacement today. It's 2 in the afternoon and I can't get this item today? If I weren't disabled and unable to drive this would not be a problem. But it is. This so called delivery program is worthless and you will lose a lot of your money, experience a lot of frustration, have to go looking for your delivery at all the nearby addresses and more. Petco was once a good company. That ended a very long time ago. Don't waste your time here.

I will never take my sons dog again to a chain petco store for grooming!This is the second time I tried to get him groomed. The 1st time they wouldn’t take him because he had a tick. Understandable we had it removed for him put him on medicine and took him back. He got groomed but said he was barking and not socializing well with other dogs. If we bring him in again he needed a VIP visit early when there were not many other dogs around. I also thought I heard he needed to be sedated or medicated the next visit.Scheduled again brought him in early in the morning. I live an hour away drove into town just for the appointment. Was ready to leave and said hope he does good I have him something to calm him a little. They refused to see him. I was bummed but rescheduled and told the groomer I was told to give him something. She said nobody would have told me that? I said someone did, she kept arguing that nobody would say that. Then proceeded to say she is canceling his re-book and he can never come back!!! I understand if I misunderstood. I swear someone told me to have him calm? Maybe my mistake, but the way the situation was handled was so RUDE!!!!!!! I had a horrible week with some devastating news, I wanted to help my son out and have his dog groomed. They could have at least been a little more sympathetic!!! Even if I heard wrong a little kindness goes a long way!!! I will never go back and I will tell everyone I know not to go there!I did find a groomer that day to take him and they were wonderful!!Overall customer service is key!! Even if I heard wrong which I don’t think I did…..but regardless be kind and patient and say sorry!! Especially when people are coming in from out of town!

Thank you Santana in grooming! She did a fantastic job on my ShihTzu! He had evidently been roughed up a bit by his previous groomer (another town/state). We were both nervous but she was very gentle with him. The haircut is beautiful! Thank you again!!!!!!!

Called about a muzzle. An associate told me they were by the registers, they are not. I walked all over the store trying to find them. I tried to ask someone for help and he just kept walking. The only person that truly helped was the cashier. She was great, not great enough that I would shop in petco in person again though...

There was one checker up front, and I was needing help in the cat area... I first saw Dane, walking half paced to front area of the store with his nose in his phone. While contemplating what litter and litterbox to grab I searched for someone for help... walked around the store looking for someone for minutes... went back to the cat area to try and decide... then went to look again... saw no one... made my choice... then there were 3 checkers up front.. Dane helped me and my mom... we were extremely disappointed in our experience with him... he seemed extremely un-focused...Looked and felt like he didn't wanna work or even be there... I never in my life wanted to just walk away from a checker/cashier in my life till that day.... I hope to God I NEVER have him again... cause he failed epically at customer service... As a checker you're the last face and experience a customer sees and feels. I ended up buying something, but will be returning it... Went to Petsmart where I found help and someone who had amazing knowledge and was actually on the floor stocking shelves and helping customers find what they were looking for and assisting in sharing their knowledge.
