I Love my new Co-op gravel bike. The folks in the bike shop are fantastic! Ryan was super great at setting me up with everything for the trail, making sure no detail was missed. Big thank you also to the whole team who did an outstanding job assisting in the process of rounding up all things bike and trail! These folks have so much knowledge, years of combined info and are all really passionate about bikes. My thanks goes out to the bike shop manager as well who gave me a quick tutorial on maintenance and upkeep.I will definitely be back for all my bike riding needs.Super happy trails,Jill

This is by far the snottiest REI I’ve ever seen. Was ignored by most of the staff and most of the customers *literally* turned their noses up at me simply bc I didn’t wear Patagonia to the store, I guess.When I asked for help, I was immediately shown the clearance section bc they assumed I couldn’t afford anything else.Most other REIs I’ve gone to are down to earth, despite their expensive apparel and outdoor gear. I’ve had an REI account for 15 years and had this been my first store, I would never be back. I have no time and spoons for posturing.Sadly and understandably, this is the only REI in Kitsap County. I cannot believe they are so out of touch. I’d rather assume that I was discriminated against my assumed social status, rather than my race but honestly I’m not sure.

I thought I'd stop by to see if they had a trunk mount bike rack that worked for my Nissan Leaf. The man who helped was very knowledgeable and spent a significant amount of time with me discussing different options. He led me to the one model that worked for my car which just happened to be in their"garage sale"section.Win win win.

Member of REI since ought three, Solid equipment and friendly staff. Think this is the first time I have been in since the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Needed to pick up some presents for a friend of mine. They had exactly what I wanted on hand. A lightweight backpacking chair that is 1 lb, a titanium coffee mug, and a collapsible pour over coffee funnel with integrated mesh filter. They were the talk of the evening as wonderful gifts. Neat thing also is REI offers gift receipts so even if your recipient is not a co-op member, they can exchange or get them covered by the warranty. I have bought everything from Snow shoes, cramp-on's and mountaineering boots, to swim wear and Nalgene bottles for hot sauce. The staff back in the shoe department are amazing and will recommend shoes that might not be on your radar but will work better due to your foot shape. I was wearing Merrill trail runners for 10+ years, they suggested I try the Salomon in a similar design as I have narrow feet. Now those are my go to, both in trail runner and low top hikers. Now I am looking on expanding my expeditions to include hammocking.

Nice layout. Interesting products. However I wanted to talk to someone about Gravel Bikes as I do not know alot about them. I was basically ignored if not outright rebuffed in my attempt to talk to either the older gentleman or the gentleman running the cycle repair desk. It did appear busy and I suppose being dressed in jeans and a T-shirt, I was not their usual clientele. But it still would have been nice to get some information towards a purchase.

The associates are extremely helpful. Found what I was looking for. Small selection for pets. I needed boots for my dog and they only had ruffwear brand. Great except they also only had 1 package her size which was 2 boots. She has 4 paws.

I went here for an admittedly specific kind of shoe that they had on their web site, but I was hoping to get it same day, that's why I went to the store.I asked one of the workers and they offered to go in back and check. Maybe a coincidence, but the door was open, and pronounced laughter from one of their coworker's followed.Whether or not it was related, it was enough to put me off getting anything, which was convenient because they didn't have it, which gets to my next point which is, "No," is also an answer. While it's not the answer some people want to hear, it's good, concise communication, and saves a lot of time. You can even punctuate it with an apology to sound like you care.I've been to probably a half a dozen REI's. This is easily the saddest one I've ever been to. Small. Minuscule selection.Which is shocking because it's surrounded by trails, bodies of water, national parks, mountains, glaciers, etc. And I'd like to see an epic REI thriving in this community, but it's not going to like this.

What this REI store lacks in size it makes up for in great customer service. I've made several trips here over the last year to purchase gear for climbing Mt. Rainier and had plenty of questions. The staff were always able to help me out and took time to assist with sizing and other criteria. I stop by often to browse and there's always someone available if I need help. There's a little bit of everything for all your outdoor needs and the store is always neat and orderly.

Worst customer service of any REI. Long time member. I showed up to return some misfit gifts from the holidays and the cashier showed me my total and then i started shopping for replacements. After nearly 2 hours of shopping, i get to the counter and the cashier tells me my returns wont work because i needed the original receipt……are you joking me? This lady wasted our time and left us in rage as we abandoned HUNDREDS of dollars more worth of extra items. Do not waste your time here. Period.

The Silverdale REI is my favorite REI store! The layout is easy to navigate, they always have a great clearance section, and the staff is phenomenal. Every staff member I've ever talked with (not exaggerating!) has been incredibly helpful, kind, and you can tell they love their jobs. I look forward to needing new gear so I have an excuse to go to this store :)

Do not believe their 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed policy, EVEN IF YOU’RE A LONGTIME MEMBER WHO HAS SPENT THOUSANDS HERE. Don’t waste your time at this store, go to a different one or shop small business. The manager was useless as well as the cashier. I wish there was a ZERO star option for a scenario like this.

Drove for an hour to purchase an item that the online store inventory specifically indicated was in stock at the closest store, only to find that my item was not in stock when I arrived, nor had it been for months. Waste of time, gas and patience.

Very well organized and have the best products! The employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. I went in for an upgraded hiking backpack and they were so willing to listen to what I needed and provide recommendations that were exactly what I wanted. The staff are very personable and obviously love hiking, biking, skiing, and anything else that gets people outside, and they love sharing that passion with their customers. Also, the membership is totally worth it! $20 for a lifetime!

Great sales staff at this R.E.I.! They are friendly, helpful, and seem to love working there. The merchandise, of course, is the usual top end outdoor gear: good quality, no-quibbles return policy, but priced a bit higher than other big box outdoor gear stores.

Way too many staff working there. There were maybe 15 or more employees and only a few shoppers. We were asked several times if we needed help and paid way too much attention. My son and I were just looking around while my husband got some rain gear.It was borderline creepy how much attention we got. Felt uncomfortable. Store is nice, but staff was bored

Awesome staff helped me select a great pair of hiking boots. Raincoat stock was severely depleted, but that’s to be expected given recent weather.Update: went back for tents. Stock was limited, but I was given good advice and they let me set up a tent on the store. Nothing like actually sitting in a tent to know if it’s going to work for you.

Seriously fantastic place to shop. They have a good selection for all ages and sizes. We were able to get some great hiking boots, backpack and a sleeping bag that would work for a small child on an overnight hike. We enjoyed the helpful staff and the fact that they were sanitizing every surface between customers. There was plenty of hand sanitizer on site and all of the aisles have arrows.

Gotta love REI just as much as the outdoors. My supply place for all my outdoor needs!! They definitely take care of members. I was on trail this summer and my older water pump quit...they hooked me up over the phone and it was delivered to a meeting point off trail the next day. Great experience. They had a good variety of equipment, and I was able to find everything I was looking for and then some! Associates were very helpful and friendly. A Co-op membership is only $20 for a lifetime, and comes with continuous member benefits, in discounts and dividends. Their gear selection covers hiking, climbing, trail running, and other outdoor adventure sports.

Staff was very polite. Enforced Covid precautions in a calm and kind manner. Very knowledgeable, had an informative and layman answer for every question I asked, taking their time to ensure I completely understood what was going on.Side note, I forgot my wallet, and the cashier waited very patiently while I set up Google pay, offering banter during the exchange. Will definitely visit again, thank you to the staff (Kyle specifically) for being great.

This store is always clean and well stocked. They have a great selection of high quality items, although they’re a bit pricey. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Today my husband tried on quite a few boots and finally found ones that fit and felt great. They were even on clearance! When we got to the register, the price wasn’t ringing up as what they were marked. After the sales clerk called back to check with the sales people in shoes, they found that it was a mistake. The high top boots were marked with the low top clearance price. Although this was a simple mix up, the employee decided to honor the price that we had seen. They didn’t have to do that, but it was very much appreciated and we will continue to be loyal customers because of the stellar service we receive every single time we visit.
