not a regular, but every time i’ve come had a good experience and the food is always great! i usually get the chocolate croissant or chocolate chip cookie. today i came and saw they had a mexican spiced sandwich cookie and i’ve never seen it before and i was nervous to try it, but it was soo good. i was highly impressed and it was tree-nut free! so bonus points. amazing place i’d recommend to everyone! I had a fantastic quiche and coffee here yesterday. I took a chocolate croissant to go which blew my mind, it was so good. The quiche was ham and cheese and green onion and was absolutely perfect. It came with fresh fruit and a small roll. All in all, reasonably priced for what I got too! Parking is limited, I found a spot on the street.

Ya’ll do not sleep on the lattes. They’re so good. Staff is kind and thoughtful. Food is always yummy and the rotating selection makes it fun to come back. Plus you get a pickle with basically any food item and I am NOT complaining about that.Vegetarian options: They often have rotating vegan and vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: They always have great substitutions for people who are sensitive to certain foods.

Today is the first time I have driven into Old town Silverdale since 2019.I decided to grab a drink at Monica's Waterfront Bakery & Cafe, the last time and only other time I ate something from them was 2018 or so.My main goal was to try one of their Americano's. 8 oz Americano at $2.50.Once I went in and discovered they had soup, I inquired about what soups were available; they offered two, but Allie had me at Broccoli Cheddar!I chose a cup of soup, which also came with a roll.The soup was heavenly and offered so many flavors on so many different levels. The roll, what can I say, it was a roll, nothing terrible about it, but nothing that made me think I would purchase them for a dinner party; but that's ok because it tasted great dipped in the soup ;)The Americano? In my opinion, it had a robust taste with a floral background and a little bitter taste at the end. Was it my favorite? No, but I can appreciate trying something new in taste; in fact, I welcomed it! And just because it wasn't my cup of tea doesn't mean it isn't popular with many other people! You never know until you try!Monicas Bakery is on the smaller side but offers the "wow" factor due to the array of baked goods and quiches displayed, amongst many other delightful yummies. The little cafe itself is colorful, bright and draws your attention to everything!Monica's offers up not only baked goods and quiches but sandwiches, soups, salads, wraps, and combos.Allie was my server, although not very talkative, she wasn't rude either; I feel Allie is a bit shy, nothing wrong with that, but pleasantries go a long way.My only small issue is that I would like to see Monica's switch to wrapped plastic ware instead of loose uncovered items, at least until Covid is more under control.A couple of major takeaways from Monica's Waterfront Bakery and Cafe say a lot about them; everything is made fresh daily. They are a small business that is all about earth-friendly practices that support other small businesses like local farmers if, for no other reason, that is a plus in my book!Anyone interested in trying Monica's Waterfront Bakery and Cafe, you can find them at 3472 NW Byron Street in old town Silverdale, within walking distance to Silverdale Waterfront Park. Although Monica has a small parking lot, Old town Silverdale is under major construction, so there is no street parking on Byron Street, at least for now.**Please continue to support all locally owned small businesses; they support our community when we help them. Adorable place with wonderful, friendly staff! They were very accommodating to my request for a cake and able to make it in a couple short days. Of course, nothing is as good as hearing about the taste, which was fresh and delightful both the icing and the cake! I'm eager to return to try more of their menu and bakery selections!

Monica's Cafe/bakery was delightful! The food was the best new lunch place I've been to all summer. Different kinds of salads, soups, wraps, sandwiches, all homemade with vegan options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Serves beer, milkshakes and good coffee. I loved it all and will definately return.Update July 2023: I just had Monica's bakery make a vegan coconut sheet cake for a baby shower. It was delicious, the best vegan cake we have ever had! 10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Update: November 16th 2018..stopped in for lunch and yummy pastries. Line out the door!!@@ I have no idea who their pastry chef is but they completely ROCK it Many items are sold out...! Dang It..!******************************************;)We stumbled on this place about a month ago while out and about. OMP " Oh My Pasteries" ;) They have some pretty dang good digs! LOVE their lemon bars! They are mini Tangy Creamy Lemon Pies on a yummy crust base. We have returned three times now and there is always a waiting line! Sandwiches are great. They have Quiches and homemade bread. You cannot go wrong at this place;) Customer Service is great and friendly. The last time we stopped in they were packing lunches for a large event . It was cool to see the care taken to pack each lunch box with so many goodies and healthy food. Monica's is tucked away in the Old Silverdale waterfront area...go check it out ;)

Very good sandwich made to order with just the right amount of toppings, the dill pickle was great and I love that all of the toppings and the horseradish on my roast beef sandwich were spread throughout the entire sandwich not just in one area, loved it ! !Thank you ! !

Absolutely amazing! I had a turkey croissant, my husband had a ham and swiss. We are on a road trip and so far this is the best food we had! Those were so good we decided to get pastries and wow, incredible....we got them for the road but they didn't make it that long. I'm keeping this place saved in hopes we can order some scones by mail! Oh, the service was sweet too.

Every time we stop by Monica's, we're glad we did. The sandwiches are fresh and made to order. The baked goods are delicious. And, the staff are delightful. This has definitely become one of our local "go-to" restaurants, as it just never disappoints.Pro Tip: Try a giant chocolate macaroon! I did an impulse grab on a recent trip, and it was THE BEST macaroon I've ever tasted. Perfect parts coconut and chocolate. Seriously, yumm.

November 25, 2022:I ordered their complete Thanksgiving dinner for six. Everything was delicious! The best Thanksgiving dinner I have had in years. the portions were generous, so we had plenty to share, plus leftovers! The savory bread pudding was the best dressing ever!I really hope they offer this again next year.Thank you to Monica's staff.

Fantastic little Cafe with warm and welcoming staff. Made me feel like a regular as soon as I stepped in. I had the mushroom and tomato breakfast burrito which was better than I could have expected, and my fiancee had the spinach and olive quiche which she says was amazing. Would absolutely recommend this place for either a quick bite or a bit of a visit with somebody!

Great walk-up location but hard for cars. Super egg salad sandwich but meatloaf sand not so much...meat was sliced paper thin. They have a good menu. They're often crowded so you may have a wait.Parking: Parking lot is difficult to access.Wheelchair accessibility: Poor disabled access. Pavement/walking surface is uneven so bring a strong helper.

I just moved to the area and feel very lucky knowing we now live near this awesome place! The great reviews do not lie. My partner and I stopped in for the first time today and loved everything we got — quiche, wrap, stuffed croissant and some sweet treats and lemonade.We came in right before close and even though the selection was limited because of that we still had a hard time deciding because it all sounded great and there were plenty of meatless options which I appreciate. Our order was packed so well and the tables and chairs outside were welcoming enough we decided to eat there instead of heading to the park as we originally planned. Appreciate in particular that the chairs accommodated my hips and thighs of doom, fellow fat folks take note, you should be comfy eating here :)The two folks working the counter were welcoming and very efficient. A few people came in after us without masks and they were kindly asked if they had one they could wear inside and were offered to give their orders outside if not. I really appreciate businesses are keeping their staff and customers safe and that the employees feel supported in asking customers to do their part too. I am sure enforcing mask rules has been so stressful over the past year and a half, so huge admiration for the professional and friendly way it was handled.Heads up, the hours listed on Google are wrong, they now close at 5pm on weekdays and I believe 4pm on Saturday. As mentioned, we came in right before close, I didn’t check the sign on the door and assumed we had all the time in the world. Nonetheless we got wonderful service. All around a stellar experience and clear the employees go above and beyond.Can’t wait to visit on the regular and try everything!Oh, and I appreciate the Pride flag out front and the note about being LGBTQIA friendly on Google, it’s a small thing but lovely to see.
