The minute you step on the property you feel at home. You can tell that the owners truly care about your experience and take pride in their property. We stayed in the lighthouse which had an amazing view of the sunrise each morning and is situated just right to block the breeze from the water. We were lucky enough the see a few sea lions on nearby rocks, a group of river otters swim by and water spouts from whales as they passed by. You feel like you're in your own little paradise but still close to some amazing hiking. The bed was super comfy and the room was spotlessly clean (and I'm super picky). They even provide you with a detailed list of what is provided before checkin so you can pack accordingly. The kitchen has everything that you need and it is all good quality and in great condition. I have no complaints at all and would stay here again. The price is reasonable for the accommodations and the pictures on their website are spot on.

If you need rest and relaxation and to leave behind the noise of your daily life, Chito Beach Resort is the place! We have stayed in each of the six cabins on the shores of the Strait of Juan De Fuca. Each of the cabins is its own special paradise. They are all excellent and adjacent to miles of open beach to walk and see wildlife galore. Beautiful grounds and a very cool fire pit to gather, roast marshmallows and watch the sun set over Vancouver Island. It has been our "go to" ocean beach for many years.

This summer, my family and I had the pleasure of staying at Chito Beach Resort in Sekiu, Washington. We booked 3 of their cottages. My brother and his wife stayed in The Birdhouse (whose deck officially became our favorite hangout spot) We spent many memorable hours there, enjoying the ever changing views of the sea, wildlife, and spectacular sunsets.Being crazy about lighthouses, I of course stayed in (where else??) The Lighthouse Cottage. My sister stayed in The Wolf Den, which is adjacent to the Lighthouse.I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in The Lighthouse Cottage. So much attention was paid to every charming little detail. Nothing was overlooked. The main reason we visited the Sekiu/Neah Bay area was to see Cape Flattery and the Tatoosh Island Lighthouse. That has now been crossed off my bucket list.✅Afterwards, I sorted through the MANY photos that I took, and decided which ones to post on Facebook. As gorgeous as some of them are, I think some of the pictures of the sunsets at Chito Beach are even more stunning than my photos of the Cape.Especially on our last night there. Truly magical and almost otherworldly ✨🌄💕Our time there was an experience that our family will treasure forever. We enjoyed meeting our wonderful and gracious hosts, Tamara and Matt! The Saturday night get together around the bonfire with them and the other guests was a brilliant idea! They made us feel very welcome.PS the snacks were delish 😋

Don’t remember how we chose this place but we were very happy and impressed with our stay. The hosts were very flexible with the reservations, as it was the last weekend they were open.We went to celebrate our anniversary and the area was amazing. They are not kidding when they say it’s a secluded area (beautiful road to get there). We enjoyed the surrounding attractions (Cape Flattery, Shi Shi Beach, Neah Bay and Ozette Lake).Great attention to detail and well stocked kitchen. We had no doubt we were in the Lighthouse Cabin!

I’ve stayed here four times since 2017. I’ve met the old owners and the new owners Tamara and Matt. They have kept the tradition of Chito Beach alive with their five star accommodations, privacy, and attention to detail. Each unit is equipped with everything you need for a stay. The location is perfect for access to western beaches, Hoh rainforest, Lake Crescent, and the Olympic National Park. We saw seals , eagles 🦅 , and rainbows 🌈 from our bed in the Castaway. This is truly a magical place. I feel at home, blessed, and peaceful every time I stay. 🙏🏼

We have stayed 5 times in various of their cottages over the past 3 years and the experience has always been exceptional. Pictures on the website tell the true story what to expect. Accommodations are very clean, internet works well, grounds are very nice, surroundings are wonderful. We have another reservation coming up in September.

Came here for my boyfriend's birthday and we had the most amazing time! The view is breathtaking. The cabins are clean and have everything you will need from blankets to cookware. This was the most relaxing trip I have ever been on. The owners are amazing and hilarious and we had such a great time getting to know them around the cozy fire pit. They even went above and beyond by leaving us a bottle of wine and a birthday note for my boyfriend, it was a great surprise to arrive to. Can't wait to come back and make more great memories!

This place is an A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. hidden gem, just found this through Google maps and we are so glad we stayed here. The Castaway cabin has the best view of the beach for sunset, love the balcony facing the ocean! Tamara and Matt are such great hosts, we had a great time meeting them and other guests with the campfire get together, an added bonus. We had the best rest especially hearing the crashing waves of the ocean, it was challenging to get out of bed! We are planning on coming back for sure, thank you Tamara and Matt for a wonderful resort, clean and quiet!

Chito Beach Resort is a jewel of a place for those wanting to immerse themselves in the wonders of the Salish Sea. As with the former owners, the current owners ensure it is a quiet, peaceful experience by limiting guests to ages 18+ and not allowing pets. The cabins are sparkling clean, fully equipped and literally right on the water with unobstructed views. Each have private porches and ready access to two beaches and wonderful tide pools. We stayed this time at the Lighthouse and previously at the Wolf Den and both of them give you the feel of living on the beach and their locations protect you more from the wind – they also each have a picnic table! They have nicely updated interiors and comfy beds, with ample room for everything you bring and plenty of privacy. Great location for access to hiking trails.

Stayed here several years ago at rock house for an anniversary. Just an amazing place to stay with the water right up to your balcony. They do a great job making each cabin feel secluded even though others are near by. Great leap off point for exploring the entire peninsula.

This was an amazing place to stay! We stayed in the Rainforest cabin and we had even more space inside than I thought we would from the pictures. The cabin was very clean and well taken care of. It was nice sitting on the back deck and admiring the ocean, as well as taking long walks on the beach.Tamara and Matt hosted a campfire Friday night which gave us a chance to meet them and the other guests while roasting smores and having drinks. We will definitely be back!

If I could give this resort 10 stars I would. I stayed at this hidden gem during the first week of October 2021 and I can’t wait to go back. The Lighthouse was my secluded sanctuary for the extended weekend. From the couch one can look across the Strait of Juan de Fuca towards Vancouver Island and east towards the mainland. The beach is literally right out the front door with easy access for walks when the tide allows and a private deck to chill out on while enjoying a beverage of your choice. As a chef I appreciated the kitchen has everything one would need and the bed was super comfortable. Wi-Fi is reliable and fast enough to do what is needed during these blissful days. The cabins are situated so that contact with fellow guests is limited if one chooses. The caretakers are incredible hosts catering to guests’ needs, but also provide the privacy essential for a truly rejuvenating experience. This is the easiest 5 star rating I’ve ever had the pleasure of giving…..

We have had the pleasure of staying at Chito Beach for three years. Each time, it had been a magical place for us. The hosts, Allie and Brian, could not be more accommodating, helpful or pleasant. The lovely cabins are always spotless, the decor is such a fun retreat and the location is breathtaking. We look forward to returning this year and will bring friends with us this time to enjoy this great get-away!

We visited this delightful resort in June, staying in the Wolf Den and loved it so much we booked again in September, staying in the Castaway! What we liked about the resort:-location: right off main road with hikes/things to do in both directions-gas grill area with picnic tables and stunning views, right next to the fire pit area-cabins: little art installations with a different personality and character to each. Private and clean, they have well-stocked kitchens AND porches with comfy furniture and extra blankets in the cabin to snuggle up while enjoying these majestic views.-wildlife spotted: seals, eagles, otters, countless birds, starfish. Bonus: binoculars in the cabin and a bird book.Self-check-in was a breeze. What we liked about the owners:Matt & Tamara are fantastic hosts! As newer owners of the resort, they seem very excited to be stewards of this precious land, wildlife and community. They graciously and intuitively give you space when you want it; and often start a blazing fire in the evening making lovely conversation about the day’s activities, wildlife spotted and make great recommendations for things to do and see.TIP:Make-up wearing ladies; bring a portable mirror so you can chase the light (or a light-up mirror)

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The cabin was a delight. Clean, charming and comfortable, with a breathtaking view. Since we discovered this resort, we have stayed here every year since. This is a beautiful part of the world to explore. I can't recommend it enough.

Chito Beach resort is in a gorgeous location which made it the perfect place to stay for during our elopement on the coast. We stayed in the wolf den which had a great view and was part of the recent renovations. It was beautifully decorated, felt cozy and was warm despite the wet and the cold. The birds feeding around the property and the resident hummingbirds added to the tranquil setting. The staff were accommodating, helpful and kind, check in and out was easy and efficient. Booking was also easy and painless. Beautiful place to stay in a quiet spot near the cape. Book in advance to avoid disappointment, the lighthouse is popular and probably has the best views.

We love this place! We have stayed here twice and in two different cabins. Our goal is to try them all out. The cabins have such a welcoming feel, they're clean and cozy. We are already planning our next stay and are discussing having our wedding here. I don't think I've ever felt so welcome...it really does feel like our home away from home! Can't wait for our next visit!

My husband and I traveled here on our honeymoon and had a fantastic stay! We stayed in the cabin name "The Rainforest" and it was magical! We adored everything this property had to offer and found the atmosphere comfortable and welcoming, as well as very clean! We would LOVE to come back next time we are in the area, and both highly recommend staying here!

Fantastic. We went to Makah Days August 22 - 24 and stayed 2 nights at Chito Beach. Weather perfect, accommodation spotless and well stocked with everything needed. Kitchen was compact and fully functional. You know you are in a good place when the mattress is more comfortable than the one at home!. Sourcing that mattress now as sleeping on it was a dream for both of us. Beach in the front yard, bbq for each cabin, picnic table, covered porch. We had so much beauty to look at...yes there is a TV, with cable...we never turned it on. It would be a perfect place for an author to stay for a summer and write a book. Probably want to make reservations up to a year in advance, it is a popular place.

Heaven on Earth. We stayed in the Birdhouse, it was quaint and dreamy. It's private deck and zen views make it the perfect cozy get a way. Chito Beach is THE place if you are trying to just get away from it all. It totally had that private island vibe. Bonus its adults only, and no pets, so it stays truly peaceful. They also really respect your privacy. I can't say enough - I'd keep it my little secret but I need them to thrive so I can keep going back!

After two amazing stays since 2018, I will come here every year for the rest of my life.Anyone can see from the reviews and photos this is a 5 star facility with top notch accommodations, views, wildlife, activities and a commitment to sustainability. What you'll learn by experiencing Chito Beach yourself, though, is what amazing hosts Matt & Tamara are. Their love of the region is instantly contagious, their commitment to service and a "how can I help" attitude allows you to effortlessly transition into "vacation mode" and what's more is they're just a truly good people.Whatsmore is they not only do what it takes to ensure a 5 star experience for guests - they're also the kind of people that have gifted a stay in all 6 cabins to a friends in need of decompression while facing a challenging diagnosis (and during peak season to boot).Other highlights from our June trip:- Romantic in-room and property views- Eagle's scouting the sea- Sea Lions sunbathing- Tide pool exploration (sea stars, brittle stars, dungeness crab, urchins, anemones)- Hummingbirds, Thrush & Starlings galore- Solstice party- Giant bubbles- Tamara's campfire skills- Matt's grilled corn

Heaven on earth. We stayed on the bird house on our honeymoon. It the perfect amount of cozy. We were treated like family by the manager and her husband. The views are million dollar, each cabin has its own theme. It is a perfect piece of heaven. Don't miss the bald eagles

Chito Beach Resort is seven boutique cabins, each with their own theme. Gorgeous views, peaceful and well-appointed, managed by the best and kindest people. Gas station/store next door for common supplies. I love this place.

This is a wonderful place, secluded on a sandy (one side) and rocky (other side) beach. We stayed in the Rain Forest Cottage and it had a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need. It's a good location to visit Neah Bay, Rialto Beach, Olympic National Park, etc. Matt the owner is very hospitable and will make recommendations on things to do.

The birds nest, which is one of the cabins available, is positively adorable. It really is ment for 1 or 2 people who are looking to enjoy the coast and eachothers company. There is wifi, however it is spotty at best and really can't be used for much more than email. There is absolutely no cell reception, which is really nice for escaping the constant bombardment of the world. As a whole this place offers a beautiful view, cabin, and escape from society. If you are into hiking there are tons of trails within an hour drive in any direction from chito beach. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a weekend to away consider this place.

If you're suffering bad juju from politics, Covid news, and darn near everything else, Chito Beach can cure what ails you. It feels very private and allows you all the solitude you need to rest and recharge. Six nicely appointed cabins nestle on the shore of the Strait for great views and beach walks. Many hikes within reach. Bring your kayak or your kite for fun on the beach.
