The deals in this store are amazing and the produce is outstanding in terms of quality. For an IGA, this store has EVERYTHING. It is hands down better than Safeway. If you are staying in Long Beach or just need to go to the grocery, go here. Nice folks as well.

First of all, the staff there is incredibly personable and friendly. Very accommodating and helpful. Their sales are constantly rotating which makes it easy to find a good deal on something new everytime you go in. Shopping on the peninsula when you are a local can be expensive and adds up quickly throughout the week. But shopping at sids makes it easy to find what you need at a reasonable price.

Great staff!!! But whomever the lady (possibly manager) was bossing staff around and threatening to write up one of the employees to the other employees needs to be replaced! She was acting power hungry! And you should never talk bad about employees in front of other employees, let alone a customer!! I checked out at 12:56 yesterday (per my receipt lol), hopefully someone can have a chat with her about how to be a leader :)Meat department was amazing! And the rest of my experience was great!!! I love this store!

Small selection of stuff compared to most grocery stores I've been to (even the ones in smaller towns). The employees we're helpful when it came to helping me find stuff, but I was surprised by the small selection of chips and other things. For example, I was looking for PopCorners which is that most grocery stores I've been to and they didn't have any. Prices were a little high, though I'm used to that when it comes to grocery stores in small areas. The grocery store with a little crowded as well, not in terms of people but in terms of how packed and everything was. I've been to worse and I've been to better, hence the 3 star rating. There's not much competition out there though when it comes to grocery stores so unless you want to drive a good distance it is what it is

Went and visited the town for the night went the Sid's and got a great cut of steak very good products fresh produce everything you would possibly need you don't need to leave town

For a place as our there as Long Beach, this little grocery store has literally EVERYTHING you need. Prices are higher, but that is understandable as far out as Long Beach. Friendly staff also.

Travelers, go here if you forgot to bring things from your home. They have most things what ou need if you are not picky abt specific brands.All flat floor, entranxe is auto. wheel chair n stroller accessible friendly.

Fantastic family ran restaurant. The food is always great and reasonably priced. If you’re dining with children let them know there’s a treasure chest waiting for little ones with manners.

Janette should not be a "Front End Manager" or in my opinion, be in CUSTOMER SERVICE at all. I had a clearance item (with a black line through the bar code) with no dicsountprice on it. She told me she couldn't ring it up without a price, as if it was my fault it hadn't been properly priced upon markdown. Then in a very put off tone said she would have to go look for one on the shelf at full price. Not finding one on the shelf, she typed in the barcode, and like magic, the full price appeared! She then, as front end manager, could discount it appropriately. Then she looked at me and with a rude tone said, "Do you want it?!" I was half tempted to say no, just because of her attitude. But I said "If I didn't want it I wouldn't have had you do it." And her "have a nice day" was very abrupt. I have been in customer service all my life. It is your job to satisfy the customer and do it with a good attitude and with a smile.

If you'd like a little taste of what it's like to be held down in a smelly high school locker room and repeatedly "humbled", while the bully and his friends laugh, just pay the prices in this place. Man, those Lorna Doones must be made of gold.

Great just don't like how the theif provention fallows me around kinda creepy I just always ask were something is located .nice they brought back some bakery stuff on Islands,I opened the new deli for sid years agoDeep-fried food looked fresh,as well as the meat and salad selection.good job deli and bakery workers..just remember your all on display watch what your conversations are about.clean as you go.

It's a cute local market. Be prepared for resort prices. Everything is at least three dollars more at this store. The people are super nice and everything you want that should be fresh is fresh. It's a good market.

Definitely not like the Sid's I grew up with. Crowded, dark, and dingy. 4/10 (unless you want to drive at least a half hour away it's the only grocery store around for 15+miles).

Overpriced but the selection was great, the dairy selection had so many options! The meat quality seemed kinda sketchy, I would pack in my own fresh beef and chicken. The cashier was super nice and funny, great place right off the strip

I really wish Long Beach could get some competition because this grocery store is not worth it. Prices are ridiculously high, deli is non existent. I would rather drive to Ocean Park or Astoria to shop whenever possible, but this store is open an hour later. So they can be helpful in a pinch!

They had a great variety of items. I don't know about the prices. I was on vacation and just needed a few things I forgot to pack. I was afraid they might be closed, but they were open fairly late. I went back before 8 am in the morning and they were already open. Really nice little market.

Sid's is a small local grocery store that serves locals but also tourists and vacationers and as a result the prices are as a rule higher and in some cases much higher than chain grocery stores, but there a exceptions occasionally.

Shame on Sid’s Market for taking advantage of the fact that they are the only grocery store in Long Beach by raising prices to unbelievable amounts, even higher than the other grocery stores further down the peninsula. I refuse to support a retailer who is blatantly overcharging their customers whether they’re a local resident or just a visitor from out of town.
