We rented the one bedroom cottage for 2 weeks over the Christmas holidays with our 3 tidy pups. It was spotlessly clean. It had a full kitchen with amazingly quick hot water and hot stove (in spite of it being electric instead of gas). The kitchen met all of our needs including nice cookware, salt and pepper and olive oil. Fuzzy bathrobes, large, quality linens, and comfortable seating. The cottage is only 6 tenths of a mile from the Pacific with sidewalks the entire way. McCovios in Ocean Park and North Beach Tavern with live music are amazingly good eats. It is truly the best value for the area. Our host was timely with his response to any questions that arose which were few. We'll likely return for a repeat next year.

Stayed 4 nights in the Captain's Cottage. So charming and quirky. I felt like I was in my own little world. Cottage has everything you need. A clawfoot tub with a handheld shower head which works great! The bed was comfortable and the little kitchen was all we needed. Within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and the local grocery store. Pet friendly too! Nate was very responsive. Would def stay here again.

Arrived Sunday night with family visiting from Detroit. Great location. Walked in, there had been a mix up so our cabin wasn't ready. Fully expected it to be an ordeal and within minutes Nate had a plan for us to be squared away. Hiccups happen when you're traveling and this is the kind of resolution you want to have. Any questions we had received an immediate response during the rest of our stay. Kitchen well equipped. We cooked a lot. 2 of our family members ended up getting pretty sick and when we asked to leave later so they didn't have to rush at checkout, Nate graciously allowed us to checkout later. Will definitely stay again!

This rental property has two buildings: one building is a standalone 2-bedroom house, and the other is a house that's divided into three rental units--one on top, one on bottom, and one in the back. I am reviewing the 2-bedroom house, which is called Serendipity House. I can't say enough good things about this property! It's location in Seaview is in walking distance to the beach, and very close to a few good restaurants and a brewery. There's a fenced yard, which is great for a dog (and a toddler). The kitchen is the best-equipped rental kitchen I've ever seen; it had as many appliances and cooking tools as my own kitchen, including sharp knives, a crockpot, full sets of pots and pans, everything in brand new condition. The owner said he plans to add a BBQ and crab boil in the near future. The house was extremely clean, the mattress is very comfortable, and the whole place is beautifully decorated. I could happily live there. The owners are extremely nice, and they're working hard to make a go of these rentals. I'd happily stay there again.

We stayed at the Enchanted by the Sea Cottages in the Captain's Quarters, and we were completely enchanted. The cottage was beautiful and peaceful, and it felt like we were miles away from everything. But it was only a 10 minute walk to the beach, which was perfect for us!The owners have great advice for food, beach, and fun activities near by. The cottage is pet friendly so our dog could come along with us on our adventures too! We will definitely be back again soon!

Loved my stay here and the cozy cottages. They were very kind and helpful. Many brochures in the cottages for things to do, places to eat. They have any family games in the rentals. Absolutely fabulous!

I stayed in The Captains Cottage for 3 nights and it was lovely. The pics don't do it justice. I loved all the nautical decor. The cottage is literally packed with it. The bed was super comfortable with nice linens and great pillows. I had a problem with the DVD player and Lisa took care of it quickly.In the info about the cottage there is mention of the slanted ceiling in the bath and kitchen. Additionally, the ceiling is low in the bedroom as well. And the commode is quite close to the tub. I'm 5'7" and my knees did just touch the tub when sitting down. Not a complaint. Just an FYI to tall folks to be aware you might have to adjust your "sit down" technique!Overall the cottage is well worth the asking price. I'd certainly book again!

This was a delightful little cottage. My husband booked it as a surprise get away. We were housed in the Captains Quarters upstairs. There was an area downstairs for other people but we never ran into them. The Captains quarters consist of a bedroom, small kitchenette, and a bathroom with a nice bathtub for soaking. The bed was so comfy it was hard to get up. It was a cloud that supported all my joints. While the picture of the "captain" was a bit odd to me, the owners care for their customers made up for it. They wrote me a birthday card which I found surprising and sweet. Thank you for helping make my 30th birthday spectacular!

I am in love with this place! The Hollyhock cottage is adorable, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is surprisingly adult sized! The shampoo and conditioner provided are in a dispenser in the shower, and also great quality! I can’t say enough good things about the shower! Anti slip mat, the design of the shower head is incredibly unique, and they even provide q-tips! The living room area is comfortable for two people, the small couch also pulls out for a third person. Outside separate seating area is fenced in and private. We will definitely stay here again, and may try one of the other cottages next time.

Cute, cozy and well equipped. The Captain's cottage does have low ceilings but bed was comfy and the cookware was quality. Although for being a kitchen unit on an ocean peninsula and there were signs asking that seafood and bacon not be prepared in the unit. Room also advertised a Blu-ray player but as a regular DVD player instead. Which was fine for us considering Netflix, Hulu and Disney are provided. The on-site owners were very friendly and there is food and a brew pub within walking distance.

Charming, quiet, safe, cozy, nicely supplied.I felt at home here. Its like a cute 1 bedroom house. At night, you can lay in the awesome bed with lots of pillows and blankets and listen to the ocean. Its a great little retreat. I would love to stay here again.

A sweet, cozyCottage. It was fully stocked with everything you need. My only disappoint was with the bed placement. Very difficult for anyone who sleeps against the wall. The beach access was a bit long but doable. We had a good time.

Nice, cozy place to stay. The things I care about and not much of the things I don't care about. We stayed in the "Capitan". It was the only upstairs cottage I saw. It was cozy bordering on small. I don't go to the beach to stay inside, cozy isn't an issue. The bed was fantastic! I slept very well every night! No premium cable then again if I want to watch tv, I'll stay home. There is Netflix and a DVD player and a Redbox at Sid's Market, again, who cares. There isn't a shower, but there is a sweet cast iron claw foot bath tub with a hand sprayer. I prefer a shower but I can make the tub work. No daily maid service but clean towels were cheerfully delivered when requested. Nice little kitchenette but who goes on vacation to cook when there are so many great places to eat? Enjoyed my stay and I will be back again.

Our family tries to get down here from Seattle every year and the only place we stay is at Enchanted Cottages in the Hollyhock suite. Virgil and Trish (the owners) are amazing people and awesome hosts and always make sure we're taken care of no matter what. They're like the fun aunt and uncle that you always want to visit. No other place we would rather be when here in the long beach area!!

After making a reservation 1 year in advance for a very busy weekend, then several misunderstandings due to their inaccurate instructions, then their inability to run our credit card properly- our res. was given away 2 wks before event, also before we were offered a different payment method to get around whatever outdated software they use for credit. We were told "its not up to use to tell u how to pay"... But it is up to you as a business to give us the options you accept if you're having problems with the first one. The man in charge "Virgil" loves the sound of his own voice too much to give any real assistance.

Great marine theme unit.Decorated with taste,very clean at a affordable price ;the bed was very comfortable in the Captain's.The owners were quick to point us to the best local attractions/places to eat.After a long walk on the beach the claw foot tub was great.The kitchen has a painted refrigerator,fully appointed:local coffee,biscotti and green tea was provided.We picked the place based on previous reviews....they were right.We will return.Thank you, Trisha and Virgil for your true hospitality
