This is my absolute favorite place to go to in Seattle. I’ve been here three times now!! I love the wide variety of seafood here. You’ll find everything you need to make your own sushi, plus a ton of different pre-made rolls and snacks. I love the chopstick wall! I’ve got 4 pairs now. There’s also a beautiful produce section, hair and skin care dept, and lots of novelty items. It definitely worth checking out!! We bring our cooler here and load up on things to take home. If you ask an employee at the fish counter, they’ll give you a free bag of ice.

I love Uwajimaya (I usually go to Bellevue and Renton) but this was my first time going to this one. I was worried by all the cars spilling in (bad traffic backup) that there would be no parking but we easily found a spot. We stayed less than 2 hours and it was validated at checkout.Huge selection of Asian goods. The produce looked fresh. The meat and seafood section was huge. They have tons of snacks that you’d expect and just an overall amazing selection. Checkout was pretty quick, despite the crowd.I thought the little gift and trinket section was pretty sad (usually my favorite part) until I found out there was an entirely separate store full of stuff attached. You have to checkout before going in and they require you to leave opened food and drinks on a shelf outside. The little trinket shop was deceptively big, with a second floor devoted to anime stuff. They had a great selection there plus lots of books. For food they had like 8 stalls in a court, all of which looked and smelled great. We did not eat there because we didn’t see any available seats, it was quite crowded throughout every area (Saturday afternoon).I will say there was a man yelling and causing a scene but security hopped on the situation and got him out quickly. Didn’t even know they had security but luckily they had backup!Overall I’m in love with this store and will go back, just hopefully not on a weekend due to the crowd. Highly recommend if you want to try something new or if you’re looking to start cooking Asian foods.

As someone who is A: from the midwest, and B: someone who has been to Japan, I am also, C: very impressed with Uwajimaya. The store is huge, the selection is impeccable, and the Miso section is daunting. I was also captivated by their tea section; such a selection of pu'erhs! The alcohol section promises a new beverage for each day of the year, ranging from red and white wines and sake of every variety, to imported craft beers and other imported spirits. On top of it all, there is book shop conveniently attached to the store. I could spend days in Uwajimaya. I hope to return one day.

Truly one of a kind store. Great produce, wide selection of seafood / meats and a truly epic selection of prepared foods round out the offerings. Don’t forget to save room to hit some of the many food stalls that line the hallway just outside the store.

Uwajimaya is a modern Asian supermarket located in the heart of Seattle's International District. They have an extensive food court, a hot food take out counter, and sushi and sashimi. They carry an impressive range of grocery products, fresh produce, and seafood. Highly recommended!PS If you found this review helpful, would you please "heart" it? Thank you!

I recommend Uwajimaya for the amazing small dishes they have at their food court. Recommending everyone to try out their sushi and spring rolls.

Great Japanese market. Has everything you could want including freshly made food to go, housewares, and a pretty decent alcohol section. Large store. Parking can be a nightmare depending on the time of day.

Uwajimaya is a Japanese grocery store that has all the essential bakery, meat, seafood, noodles, rices and spices. They also have a mini food court that sells mochi donuts, bubble teas, fish cakes, Thai, Chinese, Korean and whole roast marinated duck cut to your liking. The store was clean and prices were a whole lot better than if you were to buy them at a regular grocery store. Fun and interesting going down all the aisles and seeing all the different food items!

Cool place with a ton of culture in every corner! They have any kind of food from the east you could possibly want and then some. Decent prices and the store is cleaner than any grocery store I've ever been in. Check out the food court area and snacks, that's where the good stuff is!

Large grocery store specializing in Asian products with a food court, hot food sales, and even alcohol. It was really fun to browse the store as it has an extensive hot food section at affordable prices. There were a lot of products that I couldn’t find at other grocery stores like spam musubi. The food court also had a variety of different food types including Hawaiian food and Beard Papa. Would recommend visiting to get your groceries fix. Very close to the train/bus station.

Yes, the produce, meat, and poultry is breathtakingly overpriced for the brands/quality when compared to almost any other store. But everybody knows that. What I didn't realize, after shopping there for the last five years, is that you have to ask at least four times if you want to speak to a manager before they'll actually agree to call one.I don't blame the worker I spoke with--it's clearly something they've been told to do by management.PS: They had just opened. The store was empty. When they finally DID call the manager, he was there in less than a minute and quickly addressed my issue.

I visited Seattle, and Uwajimaya in 2017, and was impressed with the wide range and quality of products offered. The food court had a large selection of onigiri, which make for great snacks to carry while walking around the greater downtown area. Unfortunately, I can't speak to the prices of meat, or fish as I wasn't grocery shopping, but it had anything a casual browser would be happy with. The kitchenware area on site, and the Kinokuniuya store are great places to look for gifts as well.

The remodel is nice and the selection of Asian produce and groceries is terrific. It feels smaller than the old layout in terms of grocery selection and they definitely scaled back on some of the high end products that you can find at the Bellevue location (limited Wagyu selection and no wasabi rhizomes). The Food Hall needs more seating (video attached), the number of vendors is down and many of the meal items are expensive ($20 for a coke and pineapple fried rice). Disappointed that some of the old staples that Uwajimaya used to have on the hot bar are also discontinued (sukiyaki is one example). All that said, I don’t think you’ll find a cleaner or more diverse Asian market in downtown Seattle.

Easy parking and an extensive variety of items from fresh produce to frozen foods. The customer service is friendly and welcoming. One of the standout features of Uwajimaya was the fresh sushi and seafood available at a decent price.Additionally, the store houses several small food shops offering an array of delicious treats and snacks. I personally enjoyed the fresh poke on top of a salad for a very reasonable price - it was delicious, fresh and satisfying. There’s also a large store inside with a wide selection of stationary, anime figures, books, stuffed animals, and other merchandise.

Uwajimaya is the pinnacle of Asian grocery stores. I rank this chain above H Mart. This store has been around for decades and the store has been renovated since I was last here many years ago. Still clean with amazing produce, incredibly fresh seafood, a broad array of Asian grocery items, bakery items and they now are in the midst of completing their in store food court. Just love this store and wish I lived close enough to shop here regularly.

This Uwajimaya store is definitely a flagship location, including not only a seemingly endless selection of every Asian food but also bookstore, kitchen supply, food court, and more. It's also easy to park here (and you can get your parking validated for spending just $10 in the store).I've been here twice, both times primarily for the food court. The food court has about a dozen Asian food shops with little tables and benches where you can eat. The whole experience (food court + store + other areas) is pretty mind-blowing and definitely tops the list of the best Asian food store experiences in Seattle.

AN ABSOLUTE MUST GO!!! 🍣🍶🍜This market is amazing!!! I could have spent hours just walking around and looking at all the unique Asian products. They have an incredible selection of drinks, snacks, and other goodies. There is also a mini food court with Thai, Chinese, and Hawaiian fare. The entire store was clean, well-stocked, and well-lit.When I go back to Seattle for a visit, I will definitely be coming back to Uwajimaya.

When I stepped into this supermarket I thought it looked really neat and clean and spacious! The self-checkout stations look cool. I was surprised to find Royce chocolate store in here, it has some really good chocolates!

I bought MADE IN THE USA PRODUCTS, including the beer which was MADE IN THE USA.I stop at an upscale Asian Supermarket in Seattle, Uwajimaya, to stock up on goodies for the next leg of my Circle America tour.I AM sadly shocked. All products from Japan are label with a cancer and reproductive risk warning under California Proposition 65. I did not buy any Japanese products. Fukushima is killing our HuMan food supply. INSTEAD OF FUNDING WAR, HUMANITY FOCUSES ALL WAR RESOURCES ON SOLVING THE FUKUSHIMA FOOD DISASTER! SO BE IT DONE.I bought MADE IN THE USA DELICIOUS PRODUCTS!

Uwajimaya is an Asian supermarket in Seattle, and it has got to be one of my favourite supermarkets anywhere. Although they call themselves an Asian supermarket, I find that it leans very heavily towards the Japanese part of Asia!I love browsing through this place to see all the wonderful Japanese foods and items they have to choose from. There's even a two level bookstore called Kinokuniya that carries a large selection of Demon Slayer paraphernalia (amongst other things, but since my daughter's crazy about Demon Slayer, the Demon Slayer stuff is what caught my eye!) and seems to be attached to the supermarket.I used to think there was only one Uwajimaya. It turns out however that they are a chain. We found another Uwajimaya in Bellevue; however, the one in Seattle is much larger and has better selection. You can find wonderful treasures such as Lychee, Apple, or Peach sake in Uwajimaya. Japanese snacks, foods, Sanrio products and manga products...these are just a few of the things I found at Uwajimaya.Service: GoodParking: 1-2 hours free parking with minimum purchaseLocation: 600 5th Ave. S, Seattle️

So where to begin, man the prices are phenomenal, the selection is borderline envious but the deduction of two stars in this review is because the hours of operation are honestly a lie, they close a quarter til possibly earlier which doesn't sound bad until you realize that it's one of the few remaining full service grocery stores in the downtown area so if you just have enough time to make it by 7 don't waste your trip because they'll have their armed security tell you what they told me twice, they close at 645 so the workers can close up.Which as a food service worker that sounds like a dope establishment to work at but as a consumer who the city has no other options thats just unfair, post the real time you close or close at your normal hours.

This is a Japanese supermarket operated by a Japanese family, focusing mainly on food and seasonings. It offers a wide variety of fresh vegetables, meats, seafood, Japanese and Chinese condiments, and much more. The supermarket also has a section dedicated to Japanese small goods, including various kitchenware, skincare products, stationery, and even beautiful bowls and various pots produced in Japan. Additionally, the supermarket houses the famous Japanese bookstore Kinokuniya, which primarily sells Japanese books and stationery. There is a large parking lot in front of the supermarket, and parking is free with a purchase over a certain amount.

Wonderful supermarket with many multicultural offerings. I do suggest trying the pekking duck from the deli. It is absolutely fantastic. Juicy, flavorful, and affordable!!Many of the other deli items are great, too, such as their spam musubi, vermicelli salad, and pre-packaged sushi, just to name a few!
