Don’t got to this place if you have tattoos or are visibly anything but a WASP. Obviously the neighborhood should’ve told me that, but I just went to pick up a sandwich and soda and was followed and stared down by the workers. Fare warning, this place is meant for particular folks. Thanks for the response. This is the second time this has happened to me there however. Please.

Leschi Market is a small, family-owned business that has been serving the Leschi and Central District neighborhoods for over 80 years. The store is located in a convenient location, just a short walk from both neighborhoods.I love the store's wide selection of wine, including its own private wine labels, Leschi Cellars and Schuman Estates. I also appreciate the deli, which offers a variety of sandwiches, salads, and other prepared foods that are perfect for a quick and easy meal.The staff at Leschi Market are always friendly and knowledgeable, and they are always happy to help me find what I'm looking for. I've been shopping at Leschi Market for years, and I plan to continue shopping there for years to come.

We love this neighborhood store and have been coming for almost 20 years. Its like the old (pretty much gone) New York City grocery stores - but on Lake Washington! Fantastic meat department, house made sausage, hard to find cuts, great bacon, a really phenomenal wine selection and good wine prices. They also support local nonprofit causes. We always order our holiday turkeys and ham from this store. Josef is fantastic, taking over from dear Steve Shulman. A Seattle landmark and treasure - shop there!

I bought 2 bottles of burgundy red wine for Easter dinner. A very helpful employee who stocked the wines saved me time and ignorance about wine buying. I thanked him alot for his knowledge and patience towards me! Will definitely return😀

This neighborhood store has everything. The meat and deli department is terrific and the wine selection is legendary. The people who work here are friendly and helpful. I've been shopping here since the 1970s and feel grateful to have this amazing store five minutes from my house.

This is a hidden jewel that just changed my life!I’ve lived up the hill in Central District for 11 years, frequented Bluwater Bistro across the street for years before finally wandering into Leschi Market. They carry all of my favorite brands of foods and drinks that belong in my belly! From the Kicking Horse coffee, to the Ecliptic Brewing beer, and wait for it.....Rachel’s Ginger Beer?!!! I’ve been raving about this place since. I seriously don’t need to shop anywhere else!

This place rocks. If you live nearby it’s an amazing gem to have in the neighbourhood. Great selection of organic produce and meat, big selection of locally cured meats, cheese, etc. Considering how small this place looks from the outside they have a ton of great stuff. Honourable mention for their entire aisle of wine. I wandered in and was quickly greeted by a guy who knew a ton about what seemed like everything in the aisle. Prices on wine seemed better than most places too.

This is a small grocery but just the right feel of neighborhood and cozy along with hidden finds. Alki bakery brownies, de-alcoholized wine, Washington, French and Italian, a tasty little deli and prepared vignette morsels. Oh, and the basics of milk, cream, butter, sugar and other essentials.

This has been my neighborhood store for the past 11 years! I even got a part-time job there when my work was slow. I’ve moved out of the area but any chance I get I come back. I come back! Haha, The produce is always fresh and delicious 😋 plus the deli has fancy meats and cheeses! Oh and the wine department! The staff is friendly and helpful and honestly treat you like family when you're a neighborhood person 😍 I love the sense of community!

This is an amazing local market with huge variety. They pack in so many wildly awesome products in one small store. The staff is like family to me, and I believe they feel the same. The Deli is top shelf and they have in-house Italian sausage and bratwurst that cannot be beat!!They also manage to keep a nice range of local beer that always impresses me

Absolutely wild how much stuff they fit in this store for it's size. Great selection of almost any grocery type items you can think of. If you go here you really will be astonished at how many items they fit in there. It's a great store.

This is a wonderful grocery store. I have happily shopped here for decades. They have beautiful produce, plenty of wine, cheese, meats, and anything you could need to prepare a delicious meal at home. Pick up your fresh flowers too. The parking is a little tricky (don't park in the Marina Permit only parking without a permit)

This is a small, family owned market that seems to have everything crammed into their space! I’m not sure I’ve ever needed something that they didn’t have, which always surprises me. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and it’s great to support a local business! Their wine selection, sausage and bacon are particularly amazing.

Always very friendly service . Great roast chicken . I work across the street and get my lunch here often. A few of the young men who work the checkout are very friendly and upbeat and brighten my day. Jimmy is one ; I don’t remember the other one’s name . Also a great selection for such a small store

Kind of like a smaller PCC. A bit expensive, but that can pretty much be chocked up to the area. They have the majority of the staples one would need, as well as a carefully curated selection of unique items.

This is my go to market as I live in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, I've had a few poor experiences lately due to the staff. If you have an out-of-state license be prepared to potentially get embarrassed if required to show for your purchase. As a 30 year old, I was required to recite my address on my license aloud while the cashier and floor manager chuckled as I did so, bringing the entire storefronts attention. The floor manager was only called over as policy to verify that my out-of-state license was valid, something reciting an address does not do. After the rather embarrassing scene as a customer was over, I mentioned my dissatisfaction to the cashier and she replied with "we don't have to sell to you then". It was rather disheartening to hear that reporting my customer experience in a respectful manner was so quickly reason to be turned away.This was unusual service as a majority of staff are typically helpful and friendly. My wife and I purposefully shop at Leschi Market to support local business rather than some of the nearby supermarkets. This interaction was unfortunate and my post is simply to share a poor customer experience to help improve customer service.
