Calling this a hardware store is like calling heaven a press conference. Overall amazing experience and selection, take you kid here and they’ll love the stuffed animals, your wife will love the home goods, and there’s half an Ace hardware in the back for you to enjoy. Here’s a picture of my date with a clementine on her head. She likes sandpaper.

Interesting mix of gift wares & hardware. I knew they were expensive but usually had something unique but the prices are astounding now. $165 for 2 small metal garden frogs holding a pad between them you are more likely to trip over?I was looking for 6 new placemats, limited quantities per selection but round plain polypropylene (China) gold color would do for one dinner party. $8.99 Really? Tried Metropolitan Market and found exact same ones for $4.99 + 20% off Kitchen sale. I've spent my share at City People with matching knit fingerless gloves, scarf & hat paying the price because they had something special I would be hard pressed to find some where else but no more. Reasonable has not set the purchasing bar THAT high. 🙄

Well-stocked store with high quality items from candles and nice soaps/lotions to house plants, tableware, cookware and seasonal items. The hardware section also offers a wide selection. It’s fun to browse the children’s toy area alas well! Prices are relatively high but commensurate with the quality.

Small General hardware stores like this are gold mines if you take the time and walk the isles, I'm a electrical construction journey man and found some cool stuff in here. It's ran by locals and owned by locals. It's a woman's place and man's also. Your not going to find big contractor stuff here, but I bought tools, electrical parts, essential oils, tropical plants, and some cool oddball one of kind stuff, I always stop in here when I'm working in the U-district. Take your time.......or you will miss the prize!

Has great cards and gift items. Good stock of plants too which many places are no longer carrying as it is late in the season. I got some good quality home supplies too. Truly something for everyone! Note that they do allow dogs into the store.

Both a combination hardware store and home home goods store, they have a decent selection of a wide variety of items. The people are knowledgeable and friendly, and it's a good experience every time I'm in this store.

Cool store but I wish I wasn’t being followed like I was a shoplifter. I get it...I’m much younger than your typical clientele, but I also have a great job and money to spend, so—

Dropped by yesterday for some stainless fasteners and was pleasantly surprised to find that, yet again, City People had everything I needed to put together my one-off project.All-up, the purchase cost less than the components I had priced out on Amazon. Instant is even better than two-day delivery and the fastener-quality exceeded what I found online without going to industrial suppliers. If you've never been, their selection of home-repair and light-construction hardware may exceed your expectations. Unless they don't have sufficient quantity, there is a good chance they stock something that will meet your hardware needs.

Good neighborhood hardware store. The selection is much smaller than Home Depot, but it's much more convenient if you live nearby.

I’m not sure what has happened, but the hardware stock has dramatically declined in the past 4 months or so. Shelves are half-bare with seemingly no intention to restock inventory. This store used to be my first stop for hardware needs, but now it’s become so unreliable I just go to Maple Leaf Ace Hardware first. Hope this gets turned around soon.

This neighborhood hardware store is so much more...great items for gifts, decorating or just enjoying your space. Come for the practical items and be sure to stay and look around to find hidden treasures.

I love the set up of this store. My toddler and I had a blast looking at everything. If you are hoping to make a quick purchase, use the registers at the north end on the store. (There were two ready cashiers here.) The one in the clothing area is extremely slow. She looked like she was taking great care of the customer at the register, but more customers were lining up behind me. I walked to the back of the store and was out before the customer in front of me was helped.

Basically 3 stores in 1! The "front" section has high quality general merchandise (gifts, housewares, decor, bathroom/kitchen, etc.). The "back" section has "True Value" hardware (tools, paint, plumbing, electrical, yard, etc). The seasonal "nursery" building has live plants and soil amendments. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, and local owners really invest in the community. I go here for innovative kids birthday presents, quality housewares, and most of my hardware needs. I don't know what I would do without it!

Excellent small but well-stocked hardware and home store, kind of a miniature Home Depot, but with a knowledgable and friendly staff always jumping to help. I always go here first for my hardware, plumbing, tool, and electrical needs. I seldom have to suffer through a trip to Home Depot or Eagle through Seattle's perpetually gridlocked traffic. These guys have everything you need 98% of the time.

Good place to find predictably good products. Visited the gardening section, getting veggie starts, some flower starts, and top soil. Someone was available to carry the soil to the car - bonus!Lots of stuff available seasonally, and the staff seem informed about the uses of what they have.

It's always worth a peek at their house plants. When I want to treat myself after a particularly tough work week, I treat myself with a visit here for a plant.

This is a really nice and convenient HW store. Because it's small it doesn't have everything. But it does have some great hard to find parts. Like sharkbite fittings to block off a copper pipe, etc. It also has a great garden center.

They close at 5pm now but never bothered to update Google. It's annoying when you spend a half hour driving cross town to avoid going to Home Depot and Lowe's and they simply have a sign saying closed sorry. Please claim your Google account!Still no update 1 month later. Google says they close at 6 but when you get there they have posted signs saying temporary hours closes at. 5.Annoying as hell!

Best gift shop in NE Seattle. Oh, and I also get many of my home project and gardening supplies there. I like that it is locally owned.Last time I visited I saw Seattle gardening hero Cisco Morris there!

Surprisingly jam packed with most hardware you need for general home maintenance and lots of surprising upscale gifts and fun objects for the home/apartment. I genuinely am surprised they carry as much as they do.
