Genuinely one of the worst pharmacies in the area. It’s a shame, really, as it used to be amazing. I called 3 times trying to get my prescription filled and they said they needed verification from my doctor. When my doctor called they left him on hold for 45 minutes. The fault is NOT on the employees, it is the fault of RiteAid’s administrative policies. For better service, I suggest Katterman’s or the pharmacy in Safeway on 35th.The items they sell are grossly overpriced and their staff are grossly undertrained UW students. There are employees handling medications without proper ppe (coat, gloves, anything) and with their hair down. If I did that in a lab, let alone a lab based place of employment, I would be asked to leave. I highly doubt Bartell’s will be here this time next year, which is a shame. I’m writing this while waiting for my prescription- it’s been ~20 minutes and the woman who is sitting next to me has been waiting for the twice the time. (Update - they have now denied that her prescription is normally free and told her to come back in ten days). Obviously, the restroom is out of order.

I called in a prescription on November 30. After nearly 2 weeks of using the automated system to hear that my prescription is not ready I went there and waited in line for 15 minutes. My prescription order expired on Dec 6, a week after I ordered it. But now they have to call the doctor. Another couple of days. Apparently they didn't already call the doctor, meaning they hadn't even looked at my order in 2 weeks. This is due to closing stores that already couldn't keep up with prescriptions. They don't appear to have adjusted for the increased business by bringing in people from the closed store and extending the pharmacy hours. Seems like RiteAid wants to go out of business.

Similar experience to basically everyone else for the 6 months I scanned in the reviews:- they get prescription requests from your doctor/clinic- that's allLOL.Seriously, they won't fill them until you go in and the counter, with a look of 'AGAIN!' on their face, tells you... "erm, we got it but haven't filled it, come back in 20 minutes"Hahahaha. Just useless.So you get their early to get your prescription a week after its been sent in, and they don't have it, and when you come back there's a line of 20 people all waiting to get their prescriptions.So I left.I'll switch. This store, in general, has been declining for a decade now anyway and I won't miss it much when it's gone other than it's the only 'non-posh' store left in the 'look at all my money' cesspool of U Village. Ugh. What a waste of humans shops there these days.

I wanted to show some appreciation for the pharmacy staff at this Bartell location. I booked my COVID booster here a few weeks ago and my experience was friendly, quick and easy after a short wait. I was on their list for the day and they had my vaccine ready when I checked in. Thanks again for working the front line.

I would honestly give this pharmacy 0 stars. Everytime I come to pick up a prescription they don’t have it ready and tell me they’ll have it ready within 20-30 mins. I’ve gotten into the habit of grocery shopping at the next door store while waiting. This week when I returned oh guess what they actually couldn’t fill it b/c they didn’t have all the info from my doc they needed. My dr then tried to get them on the phone and no one answered. My doc left them a message and was very annoyed considering I’ve been filling the same prescription there for months. So now I have just paid my 3rd visit to this pharmacy in 3 days and they still don’t have my prescription ready. I’ve heard Bartells is going out of business and can’t say I’m too surprised. We will see when I return in 20 mins if my prescription will be ready like I was told by the tech…4th times the charm.

Finally took my business to Katterman’s after many different times over the past year where they failed to refill my medication on time for various reasons. It was especially frustrating that I could never call the pharmacy — or that they wouldn’t call me to tell me there was an issue. They simply just wouldn’t refill my meds. I’d only find out when I went to the pharmacy and waited in line forever. What’s worse is the pharmacist would sometimes tell me after that long wait in line that I’d have to go without my meds for weeks — and they aren’t the type of meds where it’s ok to just go off them.

I read some seriously bad reviews of this store but transferred my Rx here anyway. I was pleased to watch the 8-person line waiting for Rx handled in no more than 5-6 minutes by efficient, smiling, friendly pharmacists. Shelves seem stocked as well as could be expected. I'll be shopping here regularly.

Bartell refused to honor my GoodRx coupon at the counter despite the fact the coupon price was quoted over the phone as valid. I know pharmacies are pressed hard with lack of corporate support but this is the last straw with Bartell. RiteAid destroyed a good local pharmacy. Buyer beware.

My time is precious to me. I am not going to stand in a 30 minute line for prescriptions. I moved everything I could to my insurance mail delivery - it's cheaper, it's a 3-month supply and no need to get in your car. I have one monthly prescription I have to get in person, and I dread going to the pharmacy. Rite Aid has ruined Bartell. CEO who had a huge bonus of millions just stepped down.

do not get your meds sent to here. i have been trying to get the same prescription since NOVEMBER OF 2023. It is currently Feburary 2024 as I’m writing this. You’re lucky if they answer the phone, and if they do they won’t help you. My script was finally ready and I just walked 30 minutes home to find out it was the wrong medicine. I am beyond pissed and will be looking for ANY other pharmacy, I don’t care if its hours away because it will save me months of headaches.

Just horrible professionalism all-around. Whoever is the "business owner" that keeps replying to 1-Star reviews, don't direct people to your customer service center. Do better, and proactively solve the problems in your community, we have already submitted our complaints here. Many people rely on you for their necessary medications, and its not a ridiculous request that the pharmacy staff is expected to act professionally and are actually present when calling to talk to a pharmacist or in-person. It really isn't that hard.

Please bring back mask wearing. Pharmacies should be safe and accessible to everyone.There is not enough staff to handle the amount of people here, especially after every other pharmacy within a few miles has closed.

bruh what the eff. been waiting here for over an hour. Had to wait in an incredibly long line TWICE only to be told to wait on the side until I received a text, only to still not receive a text over half an hour later. Every time I come here there has been an issue. shout out ethan you are the best tho!

Objectively the worst pharmacy I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. 9/10 times you have to show up in person and wait in an extensive line for them to realize you have a prescription that they failed to notice, then make you wait another 20 minutes while they scramble to do their literal jobs. I've tried for years now but they've only gotten worse, just like their hours of operation. Don't even bother with this place

The worst service period. More than one week and still can't get my prescription filled yet. Can't talk to any pharmacist, calls go directly to a voicemail that is full, that's if connected. This pharmacy should close!!! I'm writing a letter to the Attorney General's office with my complaint. I can't go for so long without my medication, my health is deteriorating; this pharmacy should consider the risk involved, feel accountable and responsible for their negligence. Bartell is not Bartell anymore!

Do not get a prescription filled here!Due to the bankruptcy the staff are unable to fill prescriptions in a reasonable amount of time, answer voice mails, or answer the phone. The line in the store is 30 minutes long.Bartell Drugs is done, do not use this pharmacy

Used to always patron this pharmacy bc it is in our neighborhood. But either bc of covid staffing or buy-out from Rite Aid, super frustrated and disappointed with service. Constant line-up's for 20-30 mins, no communication when prescriptions are delayed. Because of staffing shortage, they close from 1:30-2pm everyday for staff lunch which I understand. But I literally walked up as they were lowering their metal gate and pleaded with them to let me pick up my prescriptions since I has already walked all this way and didn't want to waste trip/my time. Pharmacist said no, come back at 2pm when it could have been such a gracious courtesy to do this quickly. I kinda understand but what's the point of going to a neighborhood pharmacy that acts all corporate and doesn't feel compelled to even try to make a customer's life little easier. Maybe unfair bc I know they're short staffed but when customer's have other choices to take their business, hard to find reason to stay if they can't even extend themselves for such a quick customer courtesy. I'll be looking to transfer all my business elsewhere from now on.

I love this store, the Russian lady was very helpful and showed me new markdowns. It is a shame it has to close. The neighborhood has gone to hell. Not sure why the city will not clean up.

overpriced, even compared to the other Bartells. pharmacy staff is typically unhelpful and won't listen to you half the time if you ever have any problems getting your prescription or insurance. phone line almost never gets answered either, so good luck finding out if your prescription is ready. i don't typically write bad reviews, but I have yet to have a single easy quick prescription pickup, and I've been using this pharmacy for over a year. the people behind the counter seem fine, so it's really weird that the service just sucks

A very busy place, but organizedand well stocked. Their pharmacy department also offers travel medicine consultations for fifty bucks (as of October 2020) and they are quite helpful. Easy to make an appointment and get help you need before travels.Meanwhile, this is a big store so if you find long lines, consider browsing the hair clips, vitamins, energy drinks, and every other colorful thing before checking if lines have shortened. Of note, this place is convenient for public transportation. Parking is available in front of store as well, in a covered lot closeby.

Unreal how awful the pharmacy is at doing its job. Unreal the amount of times they’ve given me the wrong prescriptions. If u go here quadruple check that they give you the right stuff. Always a long line too. Tired of it.

I've been feeling more and more sick with each passing day that this pharmacy failed to fill my prescription.If you call, they don't answer. Today, after 4 days of calling the pharmacy hoping to get my refill request in, I called the retail portion of the store.She told me, deadpan, "the pharmacy is understaffed so they don't answer the phone." I'm sorry? I have never in my life been able to bypass answering the phone because I was working understaffed.Getting someone's prescriptions out to them should be done with haste and poise, and this store does neither. The pharmacy always has a line where you wait for no less than 20-30 minutes to get to the counter, often to find out you'll need to float about for another 20-30 minutes. This is after struggling to find parking in a crowded outlet center also.Man, it almost sounds like things would be easier if customers could just call in sometimes. 🤔I switched to Bob Johnson's pharmacy, and they filled my prescription the same day I switched. Stop giving Bartell your business.

Adding another bad review to the list while waiting over an hour for my prescription to be filled. Pharmacy never picks up the phone, always has a long line, misquotes timeframe for waiting for pickup by multiple factors, doesn’t even prepare the correct medications when they finally call you up for pickup. Handicapped right now and they have no regard for my disability as they make me stand in front of the pickup desk while sorting out their mistakes. Transferring pharmacies.

What's the point in giving feedback. Pharmacy has gone down hill since purchased by Riteaid and I have been screwed over numerous times. Don't bother, just go to another pharmacy.30-45min wait in line, then they don't have the prescription ready (after txting you it was ready), then you have to wait for them to fill it or come back the next day. They often don't have generic prescriptions and have low inventory. They wont even answer the phone for refills.

Don’t know if it was the pandemic or the buy out by RiteAid, but the pharmacy has gone to pot like everyone else is posting. You have to go in person to actually talk to anyone, but the line is always ridiculously long. The automated system will kick out messages that a medication is ready to pick up, but it’s not. The online system will say the refill will take days, the phone system will say hours, but the fill will never be timely. Had one refill get sent to their central fill-by-mail system without any notice — went to the store when I was told I could pick it to find out this info. Today, I was told after showing in person my refill would be ready in 15 minutes. I came back In 3.5 hours and was told it would ready in 15 minutes. Doesn’t seem like this is a Bartell wide problem, just this one.

Overpriced and staff refuses to sell cold medicine because he could not read an ID. Refusing to sell cold meds to someone who’s already over 18 is ridiculous, i’m dying here and you’re just casually saying no without even explaining why. Absolutely ridiculous service.

I’ve been getting prescriptions filled here for at least 7 years but I’ve decided to switch to a different pharmacy. The staff are very nice and helpful. It just seems that the pharmacy is perpetually understaffed. The automated system doesn’t accurately tell you when your prescription will be ready, no one answers the phones, and even 5 or 6 days after ordering a refill, it’s still not ready when I come to pick it up. the last 3 times I’ve had prescriptions filled, it entailed coming in to the store at least 2 times for each and waiting in a long line both times. Also, it doesn’t seem to matter when I come in. I’ve tried 10 am on a weekday, 7 pm on a weeknight, and ever time possible in the weekend. Bartell’s, you’re losing customers. This is terrible customer service.

What is going on in this location?Understaffed team can NOT cope with the volume of requests! Always waiting and not getting meds on time.Multiple incidents of extremely slow service and unresponsiveness.Service is always a mess, after requesting a refill both in the app and phone I have yet to hear about the prescription being ready.And walk ins are always a 30minute wait just to talk to someone that sends you away because they are not ready.HIRE MORE PEOPLE!
