This Bartell Drugs Pharmacy does not answer their phone… I called 5 times and was put on an automatic hold for 10+ minutes each time that said “you’re the next caller in line”, only to be immediately hung up on or the phone just kept ringing endlessly. So after not getting through via phone, I drove to the store and had to wait 30 minutes for my prescription to be ready, which could have been accomplished beforehand if they answered their phone. This has happened on multiple occasions and only one time did they actually answer their phone so I could speak to someone. I do not recommend. Also it is located in a sketchy area, I do not feel safe walking to my car in the parking lot, especially at night.

The store is fine, just find a different pharmacy. I waited in line for 45 minutes to get to the front to be told even though the prescriptions had been sent over at least 4 hours before that, it would be another 30 minutes at least. If I left the store, I'd have to get back in line to get my prescription.

This was the worst pharmacy experience I’ve ever had. I was trying to pick up a prescription for 4 DAYS STRAIGHT. the first two times I waited in line for over 40 mins just to be refused service because they “weren’t taking any more customers” yet this was 30 mins till closing and I had been in the line well over 45 mins at this point. Then we go back the next day, and again, wait 45 mins in line to only get up to the front and our insurance is not taken. Would have been nice to know that before. So we need to transfer it back over to our doctors pharmacy and they are UNRESPONSIVE after days of dialing and waiting on hold to initiate the transfer. I am IRRATE. This prescription has a 7 day pick up window and we are going to miss it and have to wait a month to try again because of their negligence. DO NOT COME HERE WHATEVER YOU DO!!

Definitely frustrating to get prescriptions if you’re on a time crunch. They are really understaffed. I’ve also had the experience of sitting in line at the drive thru, told I’d be helped when they could get to me (totally understandable). Waited about 8-10 min, then someone pulled up in the drive thru next to me and was helped immediately. Not sure how they prioritize customers…

I feel for the pharmacists here. With so many Bartell's closing including the pharmacy I used, this place is way too busy. Expect at least a 30 minute wait in line. Also don't expect them to fill your prescription 24 hours after they received it. I've had to wait in line, ask for my prescription, have them tell me it's not ready but can be in 30 mins to an hour, then get back in line when I come back. People get frustrated with the pharmacists but the pharmacists are very professional and deal with angry customers really well IMO. Just a sad place.

DO NOT send your prescription here, the line for the pharmacy is consistently over an hour long and they are so understaffed they can't even answer the phones when you decide it's time to have your prescription sent somewhere else.This isn't the fault of the people working here. Their corporate office has unethically understaffed this location and committed to providing necessary services that they cannot provide. There's probably good reason for a class action lawsuit here.I needed a prescription refilled at another pharmacy while I was traveling and I ended up having to go without because I was never able to speak to a pharmacist at this location to have them fax the information over.

This Bartell’s pharmacy is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever frequented. There is an issue with my medication practically every single time I come to pick it up, and the lines are always extremely long unless you get there first thing in the morning. On multiple occasions, I have received a text or phone call saying my medication is ready, only to find that it is not ready when I arrive to pick it up, often after standing in a long line. I honestly don’t know how they have a license from the state to stay open. I have now switched to another pharmacy, and you should too. Avoid them at all costs.

AVOID THIS PHARMACY!!!Find a different pharmacy because they will make you wait for weeks before giving you an excuse for their incompetence. My doctor had sent a prescription, Bartell texted me that they are working on it and then crickets!I tried calling them over and over and no answer. I finally gave up and went in the store. Ko a pharmacist was so arrogant and rude and said we’re running behind on filling prescriptions. Mind you it has been 20 days now since my doc had sent the prescription. If you as a pharmacy can’t take peoples health seriously, then you shouldn’t be in business.I switched to Amazon and Express scripts and in much better hands.

UPDATE:In retrospect, my provider and I believe Bartell had been giving me outdated prescriptions. This pharmacy is dangerously negligent and could get someone hurt.Nguyen’s Pharmacy down the street has been a breath of fresh air. I’d forgotten what having a reliable pharmacy is like. I recommend them instead.ORIGINAL:Do not use this pharmacy!!I’ve been a loyal and patient Bartell Drugs pharmacy customer since 2019. But all of a sudden it seems, the lines are consistently two aisles long, and require standing for an hour or more. Whether due to understaffing or something else, they simply cannot handle their current volume of customers.Seeing other reviews, I’m starting to realize there may have been warning signs I had ignored. Unreliable refill statuses on the app. Drive-thru and med surrender box closed for ages. I don’t remember the last time I saw the drop off unshuttered, or the last time they’ve picked up a phone call.I’ll switch to Nguyen’s down the street… as soon as I’m able to get my final urgent refill. Showed up at opening this morning, waited in line 30 min, said it’d be ready ASAP for 15 min, finally had to walk out without it because I was late for work.Before they come at me with the boilerplate “I’m sorry to hear that” bot reply- the only reply I will actually listen to is an “I hear you, we are aware of the problem”, and their plan to address it. (If it’s not a bot but a very likely burned out employee, I’m sorry you have to deal with the mismanagement and angry customers.)

The line for the pharmacy is always over 30 minutes. It’s not all the employees’ fault, but they’re understaffed and even if you get a text saying your prescription is ready, it isn’t and after waiting in line for over 30 min, you’ll be asked to wait another 30 while they actually fill your prescription.

They closed Riteaid and lost my prescription. Ended up just going back to Safeway. My partner still has his here and every time I have to pick them up it’s a long line. The store is clean and passport photos were quick. Also have my dogs fresh-pet food here and can grab some if I run out.

The pharmacy is a nightmare here. I scheduled a vaccine appt several weeks ago. I tried calling 12 different times in the past few days because I had a question. They never answered the phone and each time I eventually hung up because I couldn’t stay on hold forever. After I arrived for my 7pm appt I sat down in the waiting area and waiting 50 min until they actually gave me the vaccine. I noticed the line to pick up meds was very long, like 15 people w/ a 45 min wait! Many of them were rightfully upset because they received a text saying their script was ready for pick up but it wasn’t. The lady giving me vaccine apologized and seemed nice but was obviously very tired. After I left I realized I wasn’t asked for my ID or insurance info. Other than that, the store seems to be clean and well stocked.

I did not like the service at the pharmacy. I asked the pharmacy to transfer a prescription, they said they will, and nothing has been done. I am out of town and need prescription filled here, but very bad services. It did not happen once, it happened twice.

If you want to catch up on your work email, read some boring documents, or bring your work-from-home experience to a remote location, then this is the pharmacy for you! You’re guaranteed at least 40 minutes of uninterrupted productivity while standing in line for your prescription. Don’t worry if your prescription has been confirmed and that you prepaid. You’ll still get your chance to make your grocery list, edit online photos from the family vacation, or educate yourself on the numerous supplements sold along aisle 32. If you’d prefer to relax, bring a camp chair, pack a few snacks, charge your ear buds, and download a 30-minute Netflix show to your phone. You won’t be disappointed for some time well spent.

Do not use this pharmacy! Been here on regular basis collecting medication for family and there’s ALWAYS a long queue. A normal queue is about 40 minutes but it can be much much longer. I would highly recommend to find any other pharmacy in the area.

PRX: If you haven’t already, it’s time to move your scripts somewhere else. I’ve stopped by all hours almost everyday trying to find a time where I won’t waste my day in the line. I’ve got 6 or 8 there that for some reason I can’t get at the same time so I’m in here a lot. There isn’t a time in the day that this place isn’t a nightmare. Today the line was only 4 people. I got there at 11:35 and left after noon. When I got there they didn’t have my prescription even though the text said it was. It was worse than a waste. The front of store manager John came over (even though this didn’t have anything to do with him) and wouldn’t let me finish understanding the problem or explaining what I needed. That upset me even more, he should have let the pharmacist handle it from there. Getting no scrip, or having the staff tell me it was sent, or refilling the wrong prescription have been the rule rather than the exception. The wasted time in the long lines are just too much to put up with it anymore. I will exhaust myself telling everyone I know to stay away.Front End: the store is wiped out, more so that the two other Bartell’s I’ve been in lately. The cooler is rarely stocked bate enough that you can see in to the stock store inside. The end caps are empty. Ad items are out or don’t exist in the store. There are still signs up from the pre Rite Aid version of the store. It’s awful how many items I should be able to “grab at bartell” that I have to end up at a grocery store anyway to get. The prices have gone up (this isn’t inflation, it’s got to be Rite Aid) way farther than other drug retailers. Specifically I bought some gloves that were about $22 and couldn’t believe it so I went 6 blocks up the road to Walgreens and found them for about 9 and in a larger pack size.Parking lot is always filthy and there seems to be no urgency to keep it clean or keep people from using drugs(?) or generally loitering in the lot. There is a constant presence of panhandling at the front door.If I didn’t live practically next door I would never set foot in the place again. One xtra star only because most of the staff is awesome and it sucks for them that they have to work there.

Do NOT come here or any other chain pharmacy. Find a small local pharmacy or order on Amazon. Absolutely awful. People are waiting in an hour long line and then being told to wait another 30-40 minutes to pick up their prescription. If you have a condition where you can’t stand that long you are screwed. Also, they admittedly don’t answer the phone so you can’t even call ahead to check on your prescription status.

Empty shelves, always understaffed, and unbelievable wait times for the pharmacy.UPDATE:After waiting 30 minutes in line for a refill that should have been waiting for 2 hours (I called it in at 1pm, the service said it should be ready by 2pm, arrived at 4:15pm, and finally got through the line by 4:50pm), I was told it still wasn’t ready. The tech was very rude to me and said I could wait 40 minutes “or go find another pharmacy”. After I wait for this refill of my medicine I will indeed find another pharmacy.DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACYUPDATE 2:A bot replied to this review apologizing for my "poor experience", but I want to emphasize this isn't a one-off occurrence: this is the norm.

I have tried to call the pharmacy for over thirty minutes but no one can be bothered to pick up the phone. I tried getting transferred from the retail extension, no luck after five minutes. Pressed 3 to talk to a pharmacist twelve times. Nothing. Even tried pressing 4 ("if you're calling from a doctor's office...") which eventually went to a voicemail that says "no message detected" as soon as you start speaking. Absolutely zero customer service. Just laziness.Two weeks later, no change. Waiting 25 minutes now, no answer in the pharmacy. These people are lazy and they do not care about you. Worst pharmacy in the USA.30 minutes. Ringing for 30 minutes and no one can be bothered to answer. Really pathetic.

To blend in I suggest you bring your cell phone with you and engage in the loudest conversation possible regardless of the topic. and no matter how personal it may be.

So this location nearly killed me with their oversight. I had oral surgery done, and the doctor wasn't explicit about what he was prescribing other than the pain killers. He just gave me the instructions to "begin taking the medication right away."I got a message from Bartell saying my prescription was ready, so I went down there and waited in line. They handed me the pain killers, and nothing else. I even asked the clerk if that was all they had. I assumed that was all that was intended for me at that point.After a few days, and carefully following all of my instructions, I woke up to excruciating pain and swelling in my jaw. I looked through my instructions and tracked down my chart, and discovered that I was prescribed THREE OTHER MEDICATIONS. I thought maybe they were never sent over, so I signed up for a Bartell account online and checked my records. They had the prescription the whole time. They just didn't bother to fill it. I was supposed to be taking amoxicillin as a preventative the whole time.Now obviously I'm going to have a word with my dentist about the lack of communication on their part, but the real onus lies with Bartell and their negligence.I'm lucky all I got was pain and swelling... I could have died from sepsis!I don't suggest going here at all.Update: 10/26/23 - things have only gotten worse. I was placed on hold for an hour this morning after attempting to call to correct a mistake they've made. They had ignored notes from my doctor regarding an increase in dose, and a need to fill a script early. After that hour of holding, I was hung up on.I called back, and called the main line. I explained what had just happened. They transferred me back to the pharmacy and I was placed on an estimated MUCH monger hold.This location is not only awful and rude, but really just a new circle of hell. Avoid it at all costs.

The RiteAid takeover of Bartells has been an absolute disaster.
