Prices are way too high, and someOf the employees can be down right rude. I continuously thanked the self check out attendant for clearing errors with the self checkout, zero response. I then looked her in the eye and said “thank you, have a good one”, and she just stared at me and didn’t respond as I walked out. The moment a Walmart moves closed enough to this town, this place will go out of business and I’m sure the town will be nothing but grateful. I’m all about smaller businesses (smaller than Walmart), but this place is too comfortable knowing it’s the only grocery store within a 10-15 mile bubble. On top of that, be sure to check the expiration dates before buying, they regularly sell expired goods .

The prices here are horrible! Very similar to Fullers, which I refuse to shop there.Safeway is better quality and at least they have legit sales.I've lived in Rochester for over 30 years, I'm not new!

Well maintained full-service grocery store. Community oriented, friendly staff and reasonable prices- even beating out Safeway on most items! Excellent quality goods and unmatched customer service. Very thankful for our local Bailey’s IGA.

We love this store, we want to drop safeway and shop here since we live here. Do you guys sell lottery tickets and do you have an ATM? Thank you.

This is a great place to shop, reasonably priced, quality groceries, great customer service and way more personable and enjoyable to shop here than places like Walmart, I mean people actually care about the customers there lol! 😆

It cost a little more than most places, but I understand why they are pretty much feeding all of rochester. Do to retards they also have to have a higher price for all the theft going on, so everybody say it's over priced, the iga has just cause.

I hate having to post my issues publicly but it seems like it's going to be the only way to get a hold of an owner. I've been going to IGA for over 25 years and have never had any issues until recently one of iga's blonde female employees who's always wearing a mask told me that I am no longer allowed there and when I asked why I was told because " I looked sketchy when I was in there with another male and because I pointed up at the camera". She claims the owner is okay with her kicking me out and I just want to know how she's okay with that. I've never had any problems with any of the employees before I don't come in there and steal from your store or cause any issues. It's really inconvenient to not be able to go into the store only when this employee is working and anytime I've tried to get a hold of an owner I am yet to have any luck and I've tried several times. Other than this issue, it's always been really convenient having IGA close by, prices are a bit much but it's better than having to drive clear to the next town if you only need a couple items. I'm definitely not trying to give the store a bad rep, I just believe people are quick to judge or assume without having legit reasons to.

I try very hard to shop local and small businesses. The produce is always organized and theres a pretty good selection. But, the staff is not very friendly or helpful, and you are on your own basically. I have twice stood around in the eyesight of 3 employees in the back and was just ignored, even if you try to flag them down. That would be okay, but then paying as much as I do for the privilege of independently shopping?

What’s the deal with this place? Why am I the one saying “thank you” and being friendly to the employees? Not a word spoken by rude employee with dark hair and beard when he checked me out. Guy really seems to hate his job. Just moved here and the two experiences I’ve had when he’s been working are horrible. Also both times I came in he just stands by the door glaring at people instead of welcoming them to the store. Weird place. Take some customer service training!

I’d love to like this place but the prices are outrageous and I’ve gotten rotten meat on more then one occasion from the pick 5 dealEdit I did bring the meat back and complained about it so that is not true that no complaints where made, customers shouldn’t really have to worry about buying rotten chicken

Bro it's crazy how expensive this place is and the customer service doesn't make up for it. I'd rather drive 20m to Walmart to grab a gallon of milk then hit up this place 4minutes away

I went into the store after work, and the delivery clerk (young) acted like I was bothering her! Practically threw what I wanted over the hot case! The checker, Erin, was personable and very nice. Then I went to ask for a lottery ticket and the girl behind the customer counter ignored me and left to help another customer and the self check cashier cussed saying he was no good at helping me. When the customer counter employee came back she ignored me again and walked off down an aisle. It was extremely rude and I left disgusted with how a customer was being treated! The ONLY highlight was Eryn!!!

Not Home town proud more like rude and expensive. This store used to be a great place to shop now it’s so bad I go out of my way not to shop there. I get ticked off every time I walk into that place not one of their employees are friendly and the prices are so bad that it’s cheaper to have the food delivered from Fred Myers in Tumwater and I don’t even have to leave my house. This store is on a downhill slope and hopefully it gets new owners that hire some friendly people not self check out lines.

Love the employee's! The owners Brian and his wife, are fake and rude in every aspect. Hometown friendly huh? I was recently at the store for some snacks for my kids. While on my way inside, I stood at the door finishing my cigarette. About ten seconds later Brian said " You have to leave my store!" Confused I asked for a explanation. In return I was told he had complaints about me panhandling. I explained to him that I had just arrived so it wasn't me, a honest mistake thought. And was escorted threw the store by himself and a employee as I grabbed the kiddos stuff and checked out. The next day I was in the store again for similar things, but this time I was not spoke to but rather just followed by 3 what I guessed employees. After I checked out and was leaving I was stopped by a lady who told me STOP RIGHT THERE! I did and asked what was going on. She demanded my bag and receipt and held her arms out as if to stop a imagined vehicle. After taking all my items out and checking two times with the receipt she said. "OK here" coldly and handed my items back and asked the other two employees if they seen me steal items. The response was a no from both and a shrug followed by a " OH well he looked like the type of person who would take things." She was Brian's wife. So I wouldn't beproud of these two individuals in any way shape or form. That's the cold hard facts. Just calling it how I see it.

First time in today and I was pleasantly surprised. I’m new to the area and was happy to discover a local place where I can pick up the basics without having to drive all the way to Tumwater. Prices were a bit steep and the selection limited but it’s a great little spot for a western WA small town store. Also- to all these people complaining people are rude because they’re not talking your head off from the moment you walk in the store - this is WA. Not CA. Over friendliness with strangers is not expected.

Been going here for the last few months and Bailey's has the best Ad prices around! They beat my local Thriftway here in Elma and also the Thriftway in Montesano. Store has a laid-back feel to it. friendly, fast service at the Checkout. They're the (ONLY) Bakery that makes their own Loaf Bread. Prices are lower than most within a 16 mile area. Produce has the best selection of bag salads going! Produce Ad prices beat other local stores or match Safeway. Quality of Produce is High! Hass Avocados and Tomatoes are the best i've seen in a while. Only store that has Alpenrose dairy products in my area. Service Deli has high quality food and the prices are fair. ( would like to see them get more of a selection of bottled water) Essential Everyday Water, Natural Spring, 24 Pack. Even though gas prices are still high...it's worth the trip to go shopping at Bailey's IGA in Rochester.

A little on the expensive side (which is to be expected since it is locally owned), & maybe it's because of the fact that it IS locally owned, but I noticed all of the employees are a lot more personable with their customers & as individuals. It's nice balance between representing the company as a whole & representing each employee as an individual!! I just wish there were more choices to be had in their deli food section..!!

I've stopped by this place multiple times for different reasons, and everytime I've gone I had a miserable time. The cashiers were very rude and completely ignored me while ringing me up as they carried on their conversation with the next cashier over. I also called to see if they did money orders and I was told that they did and I could stop by and purchase one, once I got there I was told the only person that was able to fill out money orders would be there 5 hours from the time I got there. This isn't a big deal, but very disappointing. The prices are ridiculous as well, I honestly don't even bother with IGA anymore, I'd much rather take the drive to the Centralia Safeway or Walmart where I can be treated decently.

I was waiting for a tow truck that would be 2 hours coming. The checkout clerk was extremely helpful and called the manager. The manager went above and beyond by helping me. He came out and gave me a jump start. I don't know what I would have done if they had not been able to help me. This was Monday, Jan 11th at about 1:00 p.m. Thank you, will always stop to say thanks and buy something

I have had nothing but horrible experiences at this store since moving here. Every employee is so rude. They never greet you or ask you how you day is. Most of the time they never say 1 word to you, unless they know you. They are dishonest and their prices are super high. If this is how a small hometown store is ran they count me out. I'll never go to this store.

Today I am very disappointed in Rochester IGA. If the mantra for a retail grocery store is hometown helpful, today they were not. I would suggest giving the staff feeling that they could make decisions without having to "call the manager" because they could not answer. All we were asking was if they would cook tater tots for us in the fryer as they had done in the past. I get sometimes needing to check on unique requests but shouldnt someone in the store be able to help and if you really don't want to say that rather than make the production of it and say you don't know if you can because you don't know what fryer to use then say because it was too busy during the dinner rush at 630 when the case was full of food and the second person was doing dishes the whole time. I did not feel like a valued customer that comes in an average of 9 times a month and spending a small fortune each time. I guess I will start looking at other ways to get my needs met.8 months ago, i felt very satisfied with IGA in Rochester. Great for small town selection. Can't make up my mind jow I feel about them selling Costco pies for just a fraction more. That will be determined if there are still some left for me at Costco. :)

Prices are high in the first place but everytime I go in there I'm over charged for things and when you bring it to their attention the clerk gets defensive saying they've never sold it for the price I seen.. But today I bought groceries and 2 items were outdated by over 1 month. From now on I'll make the drive to a bigger town or go without. I'm tired of paying 1/3 more already and getting outdated food. And because I pay cash I have to pay for my bags also. Thanks anyway IGA you make enough from your high prices at least have cashiers working check out

Adore the workers. Prices way to high. Atleast once a week their freezers go out. I’ve gotten freezer items several times and you can tell it’s been frozen, thawed, and re-frozen several times due to broken freezer isle issues. Just wish they wouldn’t re-display spoiled food.

I will never go back to this place again. I usually go once a week to get the seafood salad at the deli because it is the best I have had, but today there was none in the case my husband asked if they had some. She said they had some so we waited 10 minutes for her to finish with her customers. Then she looked and no one had made it. She said she would make some. So we waited again she must think that we are stupid she just mixed the crab with mayo not putting in the cheese celery, black olives etc.that goes in the recipe. Please don't play me as a fool. Never again .
