We’ve flown past Ritzville a thousand times but never stopped for breakfast even though we said we should. Finally we stopped at Jake’s and we weren’t sorry for it. This place is about a million years old and the decor shows it. Dated but not dirty, just like a time capsule. We were at the tail end of the breakfast rush so it wasn’t too busy (but from the conversations around us, it’s clear we were amongst the regulars). Our server was very nice and made sure the coffee cups stayed full. The meal itself was exactly what we expected. Good diner fare with reasonable prices and portions. Knowing what we get here, we’re definitely likely to stop again and again.Kid-friendliness: Many options for kiddos.

This place is a must stop! The food was delicious, and the service from Shelly was top-notch. I loved that we didn't wait long for our meal. The boys loved that they served breakfast all day. This place reminds us of a place we love back home called pancake house. We'll definitely be back on our next trip through. Thanks, Jake's Cafe!!

This place is straight out of a movie. I keep expecting Saul Goodman, John Travolta, or Marty Mcfly to be sitting at one of the tables. Service is excellent. When I day dream of diner food this is what I think of. It's great. Nothing wild or anything. Just good food. Stop here every time you pass through or you're not a real American. Straight up.

A great place to eat in Ritzville Washington is hard to believe. However Jake's Cafe has been in business since 1969 so the must be doing something right. That right thing is great food with friendly service at a very fair price. We had dinner there but I am sure that lunch and breakfast must also be good. I love liver (yes I do have strange tastes) and I got 2 huge pieces of liver with real bacon (not soybean bacon bits but real bacon), lots of onions and a huge baked potato. My wife had a salad which was also good. We finished off the meal with 2 large pieces of wonderful home made pie. If you are driving through Ritzville and you are hungry stop at Jake's.I would give Jake's more than 5 stars if I could. You will not regret stopping there to eat.

I called in an order to go as we were going to be passing by the restaurant on our way home to Post Falls. When we arrived to pick our order up everyone was truly kind, the prices were fair and the food AMAZING! The blueberry pancakes and chicken fried steak were so delicious. Wish we lived closer to them but we will definitely be stopping by whenever we are in the area. Great job guys!Oh, be sure to try a slice of pie, the strawberry/rhubarb is to die for!

We had such a great experience! Shelly helped us indulge in our retro diner dreams and offered to take our picture. It felt like we were in an actual Nancy Drew story eating here. Tina made some great food, and it was a overall such a fun diner vibe. Easy access off the highways, quick service, and good food. What more could you ask for?

The food in this cafe is really good. It’s a small place. When I walked in I noticed that it was quite busy. The server greeted me instantly and I got to pick a table. The food was delicious. The bathrooms are really clean. I stopped by to eat here when I was driving. I would definitely recommend this little cafe to anyone who’s looking to stop by in Ritzville.

Probably the most reliable dining experience when traveling from the East side to the mountains. Friendly folks, and just solid griddle/fry fare. If it looks like a diner, and smells like a diner....it must be a diner. Has always been same, no matter the decade. Thanks, Ritzville folks who have been running this place forever...

We were the 3rd table seated after opening. The cafe has a very cozy, friendly environment. Our waitress was incredibly nice. Very attentive but not intrusive. As the cafe began filling up, she maintained service for everyone. Not only did our food have decent presentation, it was so good!! I love cafés like this, especially when the food and service is reminiscent of days gone by.

We stopped by on our way to Idaho with our five kids & they were so awesome! Shelly & Cris instantly welcomed us in and accommodated us with all of what we needed (including warming my babies bottle for me) My husband got the Rib Eye (excellent! 😋) I got breakfast 🍳 (perfect!) And the kids plates were exactly what they wanted. Props to the chef too! We will make it a point to stop here as we pass through. Recommend everyone to experience the cafe to get a hometown feel.Parking: Lots of spaceKid-friendliness: Very friendly! Family feel atmosphere even with the other guests there!

I love this place. It's a true authentic old time diner. Friendly staff, lots of locals who all know eachother. The food is just good old American food for a fantastic price.Love the authentic atmosphere including the original condom and cologne machines on the wall, and the empty pay phone cubbies. If you want to remember the good old days, definately stop by here. You won't be disappointed.

Stopped in on some weekend travel and found exactly what I was looking for. A HUGE meal that was piping hot and quick. The special of the day was amazing. Pie for desert was almost too much. Great staff and great food. Thank you for a nice break from the road. Until the next time I’m passing through!Parking: Drive right up. Several spots right out the front door within eyesight of your table.Wheelchair accessibility: Good arrangement for “rolling through” if needed

A throwback to the mom's and pop's of yesteryear. Food just like mom use to make. An old school truckers menu last seen in the movie 'Convoy'. I had the regional Eastern Washington specialty of beef stew, a dish that my waitress says her grandma still makes. An incredible flavor with left over prime rib. Ice cold milk in a frozen mug is best milk I have ever had. Very Personable service. Country music to entertain. Customers have great stories of the road

Incredible food, even better service. This is the quintessential American diner where tradition and values are still a thing. The orders roll out in record time - even with it being a full house I had my food in under 10 minutes.
