One of the best experiences with Santa on a train. My kids never been on a real moving train ans they loved it. Everyone was really nice and helpful and the museum was really neat. Will definitely go again

So much fun, so many cool trains! There are model train sets displayed as well as full sized trains that you can actually walk through. There's also a smaller version train that gives rides around a portion of the property on tracks and its super fun for the little ones, and grown up too! They have a small but well stocked gift shop area chock full of apparel, toys, calendars, coffee mugs, etc. Certainly easy to find a great gift for any train fan. The staff are very kind and knowledgeable, the cost is quite reasonable and it's very easy to find right off of highway 2 as you enter Reardan from the west. Will definitely be going again, our 7 yo son had the best time and is still talking about how much fun he had!

Had a nice tour of several train cars and a walk through the many displays in the building.. I really enjoyed all the old-time train memorabilia. They have a train ride, but we missed that because the walk in the cars made me very tired. I had to leave. I hope to go back for the train ride another time.

Solid 3 stars. The trains are fun to look at, especially the model trains. It's an interesting experience. Now the problems1. The line is horrific. It takes them 10-15 minutes per customer. Only one register can do everything needed (including giving put pre-ordered tickets) and there isn't a lot of room for the line, so people are just everywhere. It's absolute chaos.2. The train ride is short, I can't really fault them for this, the track is limited, but the price point is a little high for the short ride you get (that just goes back and forth a couple times.3. The smaller kids train is always breaking down. It might be good for them to invest in a new pulley and belt system.Again, it's overall pretty fun but they need to do some work to get a 5 star from me.

As a frequent traveler I found the museum to be small. I would not think that kids would have the greatest time here as it takes almost 10-12mjn to walk through everything. It is very cool to see “historical artifacts and antiques” however everything was SUPER dusty. The inside shop area had so much on the shelves it felt cluttered and unorganized.I think kids would enjoy the little train ride that you’re able to go on but other than that it’s definitely not somewhere I’d go back or take more people too.Walking around outside I noticed pills of junk which ruined the experience for me a bit, it was really cool to see the outside of the trains and the size of the trains however nothing stood out as a “WOW” moment.

Phenomenal! This is bar-none the best railway museum I've visited. The nonprofit behind it has put in so much excellent work, and it really shines through the exhibits and restored rolling stock. My kids had a blast on the scale railway ride outside. And I scored a cool BN coffee mug from the gift shop!Highly recommend! Well done!

Great location. Easy to find. On site free parking. Bring your lunch or snacks. Expect to spend some time with lots to see, read and explore in the different train cars and displays. Worth the visit. Fee required. Fun for one or the whole family.

This place is so nice and historic it really feels you are now in what time period the railway vehicles the place is so friendly and I'm thinking one day working at this place cause it is peaceful and it's so cheap too and even though it's 90 minutes away from Spokane it still is worth it if your a rail fan and this is just a wonderful place to be

A great Railway Museum located in the middle of nowhere but worth your time to stop byNice interior area with a gift shop as well as displays a restored trolley and passenger car as well as a bunch of cars outside you can tour throughThey have a beautiful although non-functional Pacific class locomotive out front that is a nice shape and looks real prettyTheir gift shop area was unique in that not only did they have the usual new assortment of items they had a used book section with Railroad and related books, they had a bunch of model railroad ;HO,O,and S gauge for sale at very reasonable prices as well as other memorable you could buy. They have a model railroad layout upstairs and if you engage pieces as wellDo stop by if you get the chance

This was a blast! We're fond of trains, but not motivated enough to do a lot of research before road trips. We didn't notice much in the way of signage, but fortunately having a lot of railroad cars in a wide open space makes for good advertising. The employees (volunteers?) were friendly and knowledgeable, and it was inspiring to get to watch them painting one of the carriages, seeing that they're actively maintaining and enhancing the rolling stock. We met some hard core railfans who were making this part of a western US swing, and it's easy to see why this is a destination for people that really like trains.

This is worth the drive outside of town if your kid can handle it. Great for train enthusiasts or kids aged 1-10 and their adults. There is a super cute little train that leaves every 45 minutes and lots of old rail cars to wander through! Snacks and bathrooms are on site. Looooots of train related goodies to shop for including second hand books, misc train bits and pieces, infinite toys and clothes. We will be back!!!! My 15 month old loved every minute and we didn't get to see everything during our 90 minute visit!

Good little museum. The train ride was fun and is included in admission prices (as of 8/16/18), although my nephew was bitten by a wasp (not at all the museum's fault). There is a lot to explore, and even a kids table (thank you!).

My kids love trains and this place is excellent! They get to see train cars as they were historically and the model trains are OUT OF THIS WORLD. The staff were great, place is clean and the gift shop is suitably priced. And the train ride was the highlight! I recommend this place to any train lover and future train engineer/conductor.

My wife & I spent a couple of fun hours exploring the museum. It was a beautiful Fall day which made it perfect to walk around the many outside exhibits & take a ride on their narrow gauge railroad. Many of the cars can be walked through & contain lots of pictures and info inside. It does a good job of providing information on the development of the various lines in the area over the years.

It was so neat and informative! We had a blast. Elderly and children alike were there and having a ball learning about the history of railways and riding the 2 foot gauge train!

The kids loved it, reason enough to make the trip to Reardan. There is a lot of room for expansion, but getting to see the inside of the restored dining car, and other train cars was amazing.

We had an amazing experience here! My mother took a few of the children here last year as we have a son who is a deep train fanatic. So this year for the kids spring break we decided to take the entire family. We were not disappointed at all.The staff was very kind and informative. They were patient with our little children and accommodating of our family size. There was so much to see and history to read. The train ride experience even added to the joy and excitement we felt here.We will most certainly be coming back and will bring friends, family, and out of town guests to experience this amazing rail museum.

What a cool place. Very friendly volunteer staff. Train rides around the front of the place. Souvenirs and plenty of photo ops with assorted trains and a phone booth. Had a great time there. If you like trains, wow what a place, if you don’t like trains you will when you leave.
