We ate here twice and had excellent food each time. Pleasant and accommodating wait staff. Their clam chowder is the best I have ever eaten and I am 68 years old… fully vetted eater!🤣👍Had their fried oysters, eggs over medium, and hash browns and everything was cooked perfectly.

I would have given 5 stars, but, because my take-out order lacked the basic items necessary for eating the meal, it gets a 4. It would have been great to receive plastic utensils, salt & pepper and maybe even some jam for my toast. Other than that, the food was great!

TL;DR: Food is great! Servers are..weird?The food was bomb. Split the chicken bacon salad and the heifer scramble; they were so good. The service was weird. We got dirty looks from the girl rolling silverware when we walked in. The gentleman who was our servicer was great at first but then he just stopped coming to our table; he had no issue checking the only other table in there. We had to holler to get his attention and we had to go to the counter to get our check. Idk. Maybe everyone was having a bad day but it was a bummer.

Some of the food is okay, the cooks need more experience, they cannot tell he difference between sour dough and white bread. I had the taco omelette and was not satisfied, it is very greasy and the only thing actually seasoned was the taco meat. the meat is so saturated in grease it's become mush and I threw it all away. The hash browns have no flavor and you might as well order white bread. For a small town we need better quality, just because people are adjusted to eating a certain standard doesn't mean they should have to settle for less.

Worst breakfast ever! Wish I could give it zero stars. Ordered hash browns extra crispy and got a pile of mush, literally! (Wish I had snapped a photo) When the server came by to check on us we pointed out the problem and she offered a plate of fries as a replacement. We waited at least 15 mins for the fries to arrive. When the bill came, she let us know she had taken 10% off our bill, but when we reviewed the check, she had charges us for the fries. 10% off of something that was inedible and charging for a replacement? Will never go back there. Disgusting!

Great and reliable diner right in the middle of Raymond. Ultra-friendly and welcoming wait staff. Huge portions plus award-winning Biscuits! (What's not to love?!) Pancakes are enormous and always tasty. Solid burgers, tasty deli sandwiches topped by a powerhouse reuben and even a fine French Dip. Great chicken-fried steak and memorable sausage gravy. Go Already!

Nice downtown location, handicap ramp to door. Interior is like a typical small cafe. The service is prompt and curtious. The food portions are large and you get your money's worth with quality tasting food. We had breakfast there and also dinner. Fish & chips and a shrimp dinner. Great tasting and curly fries that were crisp. We will continue to eat there when we travel north from Astoria

Everyone was very nice. The owners came out to say hi. We went for the prime rib. Perfectly cooked!! And the price was worth the drive from aberdeen. The fries were fresh cut and delish. The others in my party who had the baked potato said best baked potato ever. Bathrooms were spotless!!! That says everything with a restaurant. We will be going back for breakfast. Bravo Hungry Heifer, Mike and the gang. You've done a great job making s nice family restaurant that people want to come back to. 😀

I have lived here my entire life and the Heifer is the BEST diner that has been in this spot. The portions are immense, Their food is consistent everytime. Their waitstaff and entire crew are SO FRIENDLY!! I have had numerous items on the menu, which is quite large, and it has ALL BEEN EXCELLENT!! I dine in and take out often. I have had Breakfasts, and Dinners. You can't go wrong with anything they make.Kid-friendliness: This is a family owned and family friendly diner where everyone is talking and laughing and kids are always welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp entrance.
