Friendly store and pretty much the only game in town so they don't have to be nice but they still are

Unassuming grocery/convenience store with great ice cream cones. Locally sourced ice cream. Good selection of flavors. Generous scoops. Must stand outside to eat or eat in car if you don't care about your seat covers.

We stop here every time we drive through to use the restroom and to get some really good ice cream! They have the best ice cream during the summer months.

Great little community grocery store! They have pretty much anything a big grocery store has, and the prices are fair and reasonable. The staff that work there are friendly and knowledgeable. I love going here when I come this way for business!

It's a large convenience mart in Quilcene. They have all the stuff you find in these types of places, plus tons of ice cream, something like 72 options. Staff is friendly.

Best little quickie Food Mart to stop at if you're on the road Highway 101. They have the biggest and best ice cream cones!

This is the perfect one stop shop for all of those things you need for camping. It’s the only store in the area, and they usually have a good variety of everything. If you’re going to get fresh vegetables, make sure you stop at Safeway or Fred Meyer before coming across the bridge.

Quaint little Country Store. Stuffed full of useful day to day stuff, although a little on the pricey side for most of it everything in date. Friendly customer service.

They have great ice cream! Best ice cream cones around! Also a large selection of ice cream bars and other frozen treats. This is a small grocery store, it's not a super-market. That said, if you need something they probably have it.Quilcene is lucky to have such a nice place to shop. The staff are great!

I have been coming to this store for more than 30 years. I have seen different people running the store but every owner has always been great and pleasant staff. They have the best ice cream there. It is a tradition that every time I come with my granddaughter we get ice cream and take her picture in front of the Peninsula wall on the side of the building, with the great painting that has been there for years . And if she has friends with her we do the same thing with them. Love this store. 💜💜👍😘

Nice people and definitely convenient in an area where there is not much else. Large ice cream selection and great beer selection to choose. Has a small hot bar that serves a few hot breakfast and lunch items.

Great store, go there almost every morning and have nice things. Only downside is no price tags on most things.

I'm grateful for this place. It served me a breakfast burrito on my way to some hiking to the south. Sadly the selection of reasonably healthy food is non-existent. Even the produce looked a bit gross. But I'm glad they had Clif Bars and those burritos.

We went here for ice cream one time while driving through. The lady there gave us HUGE ice cream cones. Tasted great, too! Wouldn't recommend the ice cream if you need gluten-free, though.

Peninsula food is a good place for that forgotten ingredient when making dinner. With the nearest large grocery store 30 minutes away it offers locals and travelers a quick stop to pick up cold beverages, milk, chips, candy and many other items. They offer a limited number of fresh produce and meats. And don't forget they have ice cream for those days when a special treat is needed.

I'm obsessed with their hot food. I've loved them my entire life. Try the deep fried burritos, chicken crispitos, chicken sandwiches. They have an excellent, extremely impressive beverage selection. I found a client brand that I had never seen in a store before.

This has been a little roadside stop many times over the years. If you're making a trip around the canal with kiddos you'll appreciate the large ice cream cones, headed into a camping spot you might want a bundle of wood/grocery item, hauling up Hwy101 in the wee hours coffee/energy drinks abound, and lastly maybe you're just feeling lucky they've got LOTTO too (and Santee cans for the emergency bubble gut stop )!!

Awesome Ice Cream Cone!Came across the Peninsula Food store on way back from Olympic NP, glad we stopped. Saw a guy leaving the store with mighty large ice cream cone and said to my wife "guess I know what we are having for lunch". I had a large cup of chocolate peanut butter cup and root beer float. It was stuffed so high I had to eat it like an ice cream cone at first, and the ice cream was delicious. My wife had a waffle cone and had to ask the server to hold off on putting in the last scoop, it was already quite large. When driving south on 101, be sure to stop!

A must stop on the canal for your road trip. They have the staples for your trip, but the icecream is where it's at.HUGE scoops on your cone.Seriously, consider the small or child cone unless you want a lot of ice cream. They have a drawing of the cones at the register, heed it.

Nice little area, not a big variety. Convenient little place to gas up, but not to stock up. A bit too expensive, but considering the small town size, they almost have to be. The bathroom wasn't very clean, but the rest of it was fine.

This place cooks ALL of their snacks ONCE a day till it's all sold out. So that sandwich you just bought at 2 pm was made hot at 6 am.Food & other products VERY OVER PRICED!!!! I know it's out in the middle of nowhere but with Alaskan prices for milk for a camping trip. Also if I wanted Costco toilet paper I'd buy it from them for less than a $1.00 a roll not $2.00 (or more) like theycharge.

I love this place so much and the employees are a delight! Best ice cream on the peninsula! Cool movies for rent and hot pizza available as well as take and bake.

Peninsula Food Store has been a Quilcene staple for as long as I can remember. It's a small store with a little bit of everything to get you through your day or your camping trip. When I was stung by wasps, this little store had benadryl and I safely made it to the Silverdale urgent care. Any time I come into town, I always stop here to buy drinks and snacks for a day of exploring the woods. They even have portajohns in the parking lot available for those emergency pit stops (we have all been there!) Thank you Peninsula Food Store for always being reliable and always being you.

We have stopped here several times now on our way from Olympia to Port Angeles, and they have the most courteous employees and amazing pot stickers.

Ice cream was good... 2 scoops - coconut /pineapple + huckleberry - waffle cone... Friendly cashier told me to hang in there fishing, as I hadn't caught anything...

Tiny general store in a rural Washington town. It's not a Whole Food for sure and thank god for that. You're likely reading this review because you're not a regular at the Peninsula Food Store and that's ok. Plenty of high calorie snacks inside and porta-johns outside for that last bathroom so before the trailhead. Brace yourself for the cold seat.

Only game for a ways, the produce looked quite good for a small store, I was surprised to see that and so I can't remember much past that except they were friendly servers.
