My furry best friend became very ill, very fast and passed away. The entire staff was kind and so compassionate. Stephanie is a Saint, she truly cares for our pets and for us as their people. Dr. Phillips bedside manner is beyond compare. He communicates things clearly and always with a heartfelt tone. I know my pets are always in good hands here. This office is family now.

This is my dog's Dr.s office.My ole boy is getting up there in years. He had to have some labs and these fine folks saw him when we first got him. He had bobble head,poor guy but he was OK after awhile. I would recommend this place. He had his surgery and it was a success. He is home resting and recovering.

Our super cool cat Ricky who can sit and shake like a good boy has been going to South Hill Vet since we adopted him at 8 weeks old, he is a year old now. Everyone there are very knowledgeable and kind. We have always had very good experiences there and they have reasonable prices. We just had Ricky neutered this week, we all had a great experience, I mean as well as to be expected.... Ricky's cute little fuzzy balls could be better of course lol 😬Anyway, I recommend South Hill Vet. P.S. It looked as if our precious Ricky gave them a bit of a tough time with the boxing up to go home but they were kind enough not to mention it 😉

I had bad experience at other vet hospital. Switched her to South Hill going forward. Dr Phillips was very helpful in getting our injured furbaby on path to manage her pain. Caring staff. I was impressed with how thorough the doc was in explaining her situation. Prices very reasonable. Pleased with this place.

I was a client at South Hill from 2016-2020 with two different dogs and when I moved away from the area I was so sad to leave this practice!South Hill helped me through the end of my dog Mary’s life (and all the struggles that come with caring for a senior pet) as well as the beginning of life care for my next pup, Tahoma. Between both dogs I felt like I was always getting the highest quality care. The veterinary staff did an excellent job when it came to continuity of care. Even if multiple doctors helped with a case I could tell they did chart reviews and I never felt like they didn’t know my pet’s full history.Techs, as we know, are the backbone of any veterinary practice and I felt that the tech staff at South Hill was top notch. I worked a job with weird hours and as a single person I often needed drop off appointments for my dogs. I was thankful the staff could accommodate this for me. They also often went the extra mile with little things. For example, on more than one occasion I picked my dog up and found they had done a nail trim without charge. Another time I was leaving town and needed a vaccine so the techs found a way to sneak me in with enough days before I left just in case he had a reaction.Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my experience at South Hill Veterinary Clinic. I loved that they were open 7 days a week. They are a little pricier as far as options go in the area but the care my pets received was worth it! Thank you, South Hill, for giving me peace of mind for Mary and Tahoma!

They're, without a doubt, the most caring vet any of our animals have ever had. They get to know each animal in their care. Our pup especially loves Dr Kappelman, but all the vets are great, and the staff is top notch.

I loved this place and the care that the staff showed for my dog. My dog has been struggling with his weight and is very sensitive to calories. Originally we came in to address his conjunctivitis but the fact that they actually asked questions about his diet, medical history, and obtained and reviewed his past veterinary history before the appointment. They worked with me to squeeze him in for an appointment and allowed me to drop him off and take a look at him when they had some free time in the day. Compared to past experiences, this was amazing service and I will take him here regularly!

South Hill declawed and spayed my cat about two months ago. I was very impressed because not only was my cat completely calm here, but the vets also caught an infection during the surgery process and we never had any complications since. I am very glad that they took such great care of my girl.

Called South Hill Veterinary Hospital 9/15/23 to make an appointment for my dog and they had an opening the same day I called. Then receptionist told me I will be charge $100 instead of $85 because the appointment is the same day. "Ridiculous" as I have been coming to them for "Ten years" and never had this happen. I overlook there prices because I felt confident with there care for pets. Not anymore when they are ripping me off !

My beloved dog suddenly collapsed and I rushed him there but it was too late. They were very compassionate and professional and I was grateful. A week later, I found a dog and took him in to be scanned for a microchip and he had one they were very helpful and kind. It's a great team of animal lovers dedicated to what they do and it shows. Very good place to take your pets to.

Found an injured kitty on the road still alive. Brought it in since they were the closest vet and they wanted to charge me for any type of service!!! I was broke and was being a kind person to this little baby in pain. They would rather have a little fur baby suffer than to treat it. I then rushed it to Sumner Vet and they were able to save its life.Shame on the people here for not caring!!!

I am happy we found this place for our little guy. We have left him here for boarding 3 separate times and I always feel super comfortable knowing he is in good hands. Our dog is a rescue and has anxiety issues and they always medicate him and give him extra attention. My dog has warmed up to the kind kennel staff even though he doesn’t trust most people. You have to be a client of theirs for boarding which I like because it means that the boarding room is never doubled up or stressful for the dogs like some other local places. We’ve also had health checkups for our dog here and he tolerates the vets perfectly!! Rescue dogs definitely welcome here! Thank you south hill vet it is wonderful not having to worry about your little one on vacation and in your hands!

I would want the front desk staff at a veterinary office to create a welcoming experience to assure me that my dog in boarding also felt welcomed but that was not my experience. After a long 18 days of having my dog in boarding here, my daughter and I went in anxiously excited to pick our dog up and front staff was like ho-hum, "that'll be $700"... just another transaction. Then the person from the kennel brings in our well-missed dog, hands me the leash and quickly turns away. No personality, no offer of an update, no shared excitement to see family re-united after 18 days. I had to call her back to ask her a question and it was like pulling teeth to get her to tell me they had at least feed my dog that morning. No other update provided, it was like, thanks for your money, here's your dog, bye. Perhaps it was just me, or just a bad day at the clinic.

We I had an emergency with my dog a couple of weeks ago. I went in there, and they were not able to see my dog because you had to make an appointment. The lady was nice at the desk both of them. However, one of them who I believe was like an assistant gave wrong advice, and I believe that something worse could have happened to my dog throughout the night had I not gone to the veterinarian hospital in Sumner. However, I did appreciate a lady who was in there who came over and prayed over my dog because she had a bone wedged between her teeth at the top of her mouth in the back of her throat... Prayers of the righteous availet much... 🙏🏽🙏🏽

They were able to get me in same day for an urgent appt. The staff was so nice with my dog. He’s usually aggressive in vets offices but they worked around that and told me he was just guarding me and when they took him in the back he was a lot better. He received top notch care and it was cheeper then our normal vet. We will be back. Thank you for the great care!

We went in the middle of the night as an emergency visit. The doctor was warm and caring and gave us the correct diagnosis and treatment. I had gone to another walk in hospital and had wasted the entire day and got the wrong diagnosis and treatment.
