I went in almost a month ago to order a 1st birthday cake and smash cake for my son's 1st birthday. I wanted a cute monster cake but they didn't have a template in their book for a monster cake. The gal that was helping me was so nice and helpful (unfortunately I can't remember her name). She told me that she could do a monster cake and showed me one she did on her phone. When I got the cake today (basically purchased blindly) it was more than I expected...it was absolutely perfect and what I wanted.

USUALLY doesn’t have the free item in store!!! Prices are high. Typically the Safeway workers don’t know where the sale stuff is located. They don’t show you… They just tell you, & not correctly on the reg. The coffee worker is RUDE!!! I prefer to shop elsewhere.

I love the ability to do Safeway pickups. I struggle with getting out of the house, and these people are literal superheroes to me. They have helped me get groceries for my family when I am in some of the darkest moments of my life. I just want to thank this whole crew for showing up for me when I don’t feel like I can.

So tired of the app not counting my coupons, and the cashiers not being able to help. So every time, I have to pay full price and go back to customer service for money back when they go through all my coupons. Today, I tried to get cash back at a self checkout station that didn't have a sign saying NO CASH BACK. I forgot my first transaction, purchased a candy to get cash back, but the cashier proceeded to tell me that you can't get cash back if you TAP YOUR CARD, but not a single notice stating that. And there was nothing she could do for me. She suggested I buy ANOTHER ITEM. Do not continue trying to chat with me when I'm annoyed and frustrated. Finally, I go back to customer service to get cash, but the only way to get cash is to purchase something. I returned my candy and went to an ATM. While standing at the customer service counter, 3 people passed me saying they'd help me, but never did. Then another man came up and asked if I'd been helped, I said no, he went to help me, and THEN BACKED AWAY because a busy cashier said she'd help me when she was done. Help customers when you're available. I'm going back to Rosauers!

Such great customer service!! Overall the store is easy to navigate and has amazing perks on their app. Check it out! Shop local!I'd like to add that our dairy section is always getting cleaned and the review by Brandon below me is fraudulent. This is our current milk area... I have been shopping here for years and almost always had a great experience. The collection of items are great for home cooking and staff are usually very helpful and kind. My only problem recently is with Cory from the Self-Checkout who has been very rude.Recently I (22) had a friend come to visit, and on our way to lunch she wanted to grab some medicine for her headaches. I suggested stopping by Safeway since I've been shopping here every week for the past 3 years. Once she got her medicine we went to self checkout and was asked to see our IDs by Cory (it was a surprise visit and I didn't have mine with me, and at the time I didn't know ID was needed for medicine). Cory told me "You need to leave. Get out." Not quite knowing what he meant at first and not knowing ID was needed for medicine I tried to comply by waiting outside the self-checkout area, when he saw me he pointed his finger at me, opened his eyes wide and started walking towards me telling me to get out.While I now understand the message he was saying I thought he could have done it in a more polite way since I was doing my best to comply and not talking back. I felt like I was being treated like a thief instead of someone who has spent thousands of dollars at the store over the years. Not trying to get Cory in trouble as I'm sure he had his reasons to act as he did, but it would be awesome for me to have a 5 minute conversation with him so I don't feel awkward coming to the store in the future.

Still dirty wet slimy milk fridges. With milk all over bottom. Was not moldy though! Even after management was notified. I just did a survey it miraculously disappeared earlier odd.. I would complain of past customer service and rudeness but today everyone was helpful and even said goodbye and greeted me! So I will give Safeway huge improvement there and when this is fixed , the uncleanness of fridges, I will update this review!

Absolute sh- show. Went in around 11:15 PM August 2nd, 2023. Was in a line which was not moving and waiting for 10+ minutes before we even started. Cashier consistently calling for “Ryan”, a manager, to customer service. Ryan was NEVER to be seen. Would absolutely love for the management and corporate side to review the CCTV footage of the line building up with 10 or so individuals simply waiting for Ryan. No other staff. No other registers. No self checkout. No Ryan. Wow. 👎👎👎👎👎

Pretty decent place! They have fresh cut produce, fresh prepared sushi, and a really good selection of non-US foods. They can be a little more expensive with everyday stuff but their store brand signature select is decent. Earning points helps you get up to $1 off gas over at the gas station, so that's a huge plus.

First of all, I love the deli. They're really nice over there and the food is well made. What bothers me is the self checkout. I haven't had many alarms but when I do I can never find an employee to clear it. Also, each time I leave self check I tell the employee or employees standing nearby, "thank you". I never get acknowledged. How hard is it to say it back or, "sure" or "have a nice day"? I'm sure they work hard and don't even realize I'm there. Maybe ask them to try to interact with customers.

Store is fine but the staff can be really rude and you can tell they hate their jobs. I have been cashing my work claim check here for months and all of a sudden they don't consider it a payroll check and won't cash it. It's a work injury claim check! That's my pay dummy!

Pricing is opportunistic and sneaky. Quantity pricing often requires math to get the unit price. Good range of trendy products such as oil, vinegar, salt. Produce usually not rotten, but may be flavorless. Covid protocols have gone from silly to lax. I may shop there several times per week. A decent supermarket.

Edit: Since writing this review a few months ago, I decided to try the deli again to see if it had improved. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. I even tried getting the fried chicken instead (since the staff assured me that was always the freshest item they had since it sells so quickly), but the chicken was also super dried out and old, despite it only being 6pm. I don't know what's going on with this deli now, but I wouldn't be surprised if people were getting sick with how old and gross the deli staff let the food get. Management clearly doesn't care that food safety standards are being ignored with the hot case, and it makes me wonder what other health code violations are happening that we can't see. I will not be coming back.Original review:The deli food is consistently disgusting and old, and most of the deli staff have a bad attitude as well. They refuse to cook fresh food, even when the food has been sitting in the hot case for well over the safe time limit. I've also seen multiple instances of workers not wearing gloves, and had someone lie directly to my face about how old the food was. I have complained multiple times to the manager about these health code violations, and nothing has changed. Same rude, lazy staff. Same terrible, old food. Don't waste your money.

I mean, its a safeway. The store is always clean and there's never long waits to check out. We normally go early to avoid crowds but even when we've had to, we've never waited long if at all to check out. And self check out, which we usually use, always has the most helpful staff overlooking.

Yet another good store to head to on Christmas day but open until 5pm that day. The store is pretty clean and has a decent variety of goods for a grocery store. The cost of goods is relatively expensive, considering Walmart is across the street.

Why is it soo hard 2 get a delivery 2 the right place! We order food and continue 2 have problems. We call too many times and it still continues 2 happen!Safeway uses doordash...they have dropped the order on the porch and they dash...NO human contact. R they off 2 Starbucks? They don't read the delivery information ON THE RECEIPT!!!Come on man!!! U blame doordash...they work 4 U ! And u will suffer the "one" star 4 their inability 2 read the ticket.A continuing problem like this should b corrected quickly. Not continue on EVERY ORDER!!!

Great service most of the time. Produce is well maintained. One criticism, and a major one for me: the beer selection. A while back the beer aisle was revamped and afterwords it seemed like the variety kind of stagnated. The emphasis now seems to be on light American lager with a handful of basic craft options that one could find anywhere. I do all my food shopping here, I generally go across town if I'm looking for beer.

The deli is supposed to close at 7pm and I've went on five different occasions to grab dinner between 6-6:15 and they always close early.. even if they just started they won't sell what they have left. I am a full time student with 2 jobs and it's quick and easy to stop there for dinner after work but I'm tired of going and not getting what I came for. Don't go there for the deli if you actually want to eat. I asked the employees if I could get something out of the cold food because they hadn't started cleaning up that side yet and she said "No, sorry we closed early" which would be fine but it was almost an hour before they were supposed to close.

Floral department is amazing!! My flowers lasted several weeks and every bloom opened and was beautiful, highly suggest their flowers if you're looking for a quality bouquet!

I love that they carry my Breyers "carb smart" chocolate ice cream!I have to drive 45 miles each way just to find this anywhere! Of course they have all the normal groceries too.I have trouble getting waited on at the meat counter, but that's been going on for a long time. ( Women become invisible after a certain age😢)I often have to text my husband to come over so I can get waited on.

Chicken tenders are definitely good but it should not cost $10 for 3 of them. Head on down to rosauers. Lot better pricesIn the other hand they have excellent deals on energy drinks for club members

NEVER order for delivery. Every single time I order anything, half of the items I get are incorrect or substituted. Most of the things substituted aren’t anything similar to what I ordered, yet I still have to pay full price for everything. Safeway doesn’t show the correct items in stock and I NEVER get what I ordered. Cant ask for a refund or to return anything either. I’d give 0 stars if I could.
