Such friendly service by Mitchell. The wines were really good. Mitchell was a wealth of information about the wines and the Hunter area in general. It was a very relaxed tasting w no pressure to buy, but we did indeed buy. Well worth a tasting visit. Well done

This place has been such a surprise gem to me that i almost don't want to write about it because I don't want anyone else to know about it: I want it all for myself. I've visited a handful of times, and each visit is better than the last. They are generous, personal and always willing to open their production up for tours. Oh, and the wine is top quality.Their core red wines (cabernet, merlot, flagship blends) and even more so their whites (viognier, chardonnay, sauv blanc) are stunning and solid. It's also very affordable. They also have a second label (subsoil), which is frighteningly inexpensive. If there's one criticism I could provide, it's that I'd like to see more one-off, or perhaps, experimental vintages/blends (e g., Barbera, malvasia).The last time I was in (fall 2022) they were selling mystery cases for $100! How do you beat that? Fun.Visit. Become a member (I did). Or don't and leave it all to me.

We did a Mercer wine tasting at the Wine Country RV Park over the weekend while we were in town for an event and Abby (we believe that was her name) walked us through what you had to offer, how they were different, etc. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and made it a great experience for a group of wine tasting noobs. We ended up taking our favorite home and hope to stop in to the winery the next time we are in the area.

Excellent wines. We are partial to reds, and they have some awesome reds. The 'Ashley' and 'Michael' winemaker wines are both big bold reds. Don't miss the Eagle and Plow... our favorite.
