We adopted a gorgeous labradane who we named Peaches from A Paw Up Rescue. They were professional and really responsive. Peaches had a head start on all her basic manners and was pretty much housebroken when we brought her home. Which is a great thing considering she is 44 pounds at 4 months old.I liked that they took the matching process seriously, communicating their concerns to us and answering all of our questions before we made the 4 hour drive out. We were also ready to back out if it didn't feel like we were a reasonable fit. We knew we wanted to find a good match for our family, we were not out to get the first puppy no matter what. It is a huge decision.I would absolutely recommend A Paw Up to anyone looking for a new family member to love. They put time and effort into the training of this dog even though they knew they would be sending her off soon. That is invaluable and shows a dedication not always found in a rescue facility.

I adopted a sweet little gal a year ago from Yvette at A Paw Up Rescue and drove from Idaho to get her! Yvette has been so great with providing resources to guide my experience as she has been my first dog and first adoption from a rescue as well! My pup is thriving and we can’t imagine life without her!!

Yvette and Jeff have a great foster home for animals. We were pleased that our adopted dog was happy, healthy, and obviously loved. Thank you for what you do for needy animals.

We adopted a chihuahua mix female, 7-8 years old, who had been returned to the rescue because her owner passed away and family members did not want her. Her name was Salsa, and she definitely lived up to the name! She was a diva, who loved attention. Our adoption process experience was very positive and easy. I appreciate that the rescue takes time for veterinary reference calls and requests proof of sturdy fenced enclosures to keep animals safe. The rescue provided valuable information with regard to introducing this older dog with a very strong personality into our pack of even older dogs.I would most definitely adopt from this rescue again should the occasion present itself.

I Have worked with this group time and time again and I have NEVER had any of the "bad" experiences that some people are claiming. This rescue has helped countless injured, old, and special needs dogs that no one else would take in because they didn't want to put out the money to try and save an animal. Keep up all the good work you do and don't let negative people in the world stop you from doing good deeds. Thank you for all you've done for all the animals you have helped over the years.

A Paw Up Rescue has some truly dedicated dog and animals lovers giving tirelessly of their own time to help dogs in need. I have known one of the volunteers through conections in "the dog community" for over 10 years and she is incredibly kind and conscientious and treats all the dogs she comes into contact with as her own family members. These guys put the needs of the dogs they service above all else.

Turned us down because she stalked my moms Facebook and based her decision on pictures my mom had of her grandkids. Said the dog needs a calmer home because the kids "look rambunctious" even though the kids don't live here. Also based it on one photo he saw of our previous dog whose nails were "too long", even though we had her nails trimmed by the vet on a regular basis, and said we "obviously did not care for" our previous dog who we recently lost to cancer. I don't know if the photo was taken not long before a vet visit or what, since it's an old picture and her nails did look a little long, but the fact that she based the decision mainly on that one photo, and made comments about how we did not care about our dog that recently passed away was incredibly rude and uncalled for. I wish I had checked the reviews for this rescue before I bothered to deal with them. I am editing this review after they replied so I can add that her nails were not "curling beneath her toes." That is so dramatic.

The owner of A Paw Up Rescue has come into possession of a friend's dog, and despite my friend trying to contact the owner of the "Rescue" and prove that they have his dog, they have decided to not communicate or work with him, and have said they intend to adopt his dog out. At that point, my friend offered to "adopt" his own dog back, but they refuse. Not rational, and not ok.

The original owners that have been missing this dog for a while have contacted Yvette to try to get their dog back. They have even offered to pay the adoption fee and have gone as far as to offer Yvette to come into there home and evaluate the condition of the home to prove they are good people. She refuses and will not give them or even take payment for a dog she is trying to adopt out. They just want there baby back and this lady refuses to do the right thing.

I have been following this rescue group for at least 3 years and have been so impressed with their careful approach to finding me the right dog for my home and family. They answer Facebook messages within a day and the answers are thoughtful and insightful. They obviously know their dogs and what they need.

We adopted Tank the Boston terrier in 2012. 6 months after we had him, he woke us up, alerting us to a house fire. We all escaped thanks to Tank. He was the best dog ever! We were heart broken this last July when we lost him due to an aggressive cancer. 😭 I wouldn't hesitate to adopt from A Paw Up Rescue again.

If I could leave negative stars I would. This “rescue” has a long history of acquiring animals and when the owner tries to claim them they refuse to return the dog. Even when proof of ownership is provided. Do not get involved with this group. They are morally bankrupt and mistreat dogs on top of it.

A Paw Up Rescue is an admirable organization. They not only rescue homeless pets, they also ensure they are recovered to optimal health and placed in suitable and loving homes.

Trying to shut down another rescue for not paying vet bills for your pet? Disgusting! You haven't even been to the bunny rescue so how would you know anything about it? I've been there, so save your lies for someone who might believe you. You are disgusting. I hope you rot!

We were told to drive down 2.5 hours to adopt a puppy and were met with rudeness and disrespect. She did not honor the agreement.

I see all the negative comments about some singular event. I will submit that my experience was great and my dog, now of six years, is the love of my life and I thank APUR. (Charlotte, the Kelpie)

Shame on this “rescue” for refusing to give an owner back their dog even after they offered to pay adoption fees. Shame on them for also blocking everyone who tried to stand up for the family as well.

Attempting to shut down a local bunny rescue in the tri-city's and has a habit of stealing others animals and re-homing them for money. 0/10 do not recommend supporting evil greedy people.

Refusing to give a family dog back to the owners when they have proof of owning said animal is outrageous. Very unprofessional. Do not adopt an animal from them.

Don't even waste your time. This lady is so unorganized and wishy washy. Just look at her Facebook page including her personal one. Total nut job.
