I have been looking for a good fly shop around here since I was transferred here for 3 years and finally found one. Not only are they super knowledgeable, they are also extremely personable. The owner talk to me and gave me some great spots to try as well as showing me some new knot tying techniques.I ended up taking my wife in to the shop and it was her first time really getting ready to go fly fishing and ever question she asked he answered . The owner even helped her pick out some flies that would be great and she did end up catching some fish on them.If your looking for a fly shop this is a must stop destination.

I’m a fairly competent gear angler. A little less so when it comes to fly fishing, but I still have a few worthy steelhead and salmon caught on the fly. However, regardless of my fishing experience, I always dread visiting most fly shops. No matter if you’re a novice or an expert, so many purist fly anglers can be such pretentious jerks when a customer doesn’t live and breathe fly fishing.I’m happy to say this shop is very welcoming, doesn’t push selling you over priced trophy rods and just has love for fishing.Great experience!

Stopped in to get a stripping basket and the staff was super helpful. Gave me some good tips, fly suggestions and spots to fish. Well wouldn't ya know it I caught two pinks at one of the spots that was suggested. Will definitely be going back on my next trip to WA!

This terminal 85 year old fly fisherman contacted the shop regarding one last cast he was going to take over near Winthrop. Unbelievably they loaned me a Sage 9-foot 5 weight with Redington reel and sink tip line. I had previously given several thousand dollars worth of my gear & tying equipment to a local FF club for charity. This goes over and beyond wonderful service.

From the classes Peninsula Outfitters offers to the friendly advice and product availability, I can’t imagine going anywhere else!!!!Bill and his staff have always gone above and beyond and have provided me outstanding customer service. The shop is well stocked and has everything you need to get on the water. If I was looking for a product they didn’t normally carry, they were able to order it and get it in my hands in a short period of time.They have also been extremely helpful when I have needed to use my rod warranty through the manufacturer. Peninsula Outfitters is professional, helpful, and very knowledgeable. As a woman, I feel comfortable that I will get the assistance that I need in a non-threatening environment. The merchandise ranging from rods and reels to clothing is of exceptional quality. I have taken the A-Z class and several fly tying classes and each has greatly increased my knowledge of the sport. FANTASTIC SHOP! I was from out of town visiting and was looking to catch native trout, the owner was a wealth of knowledge and knew exactly what I was looking for, and was very familiar with tenkara. He has a great selection of gear, everything you need to get started or for a seasoned angler. But do us all a favor to help keep this industry alive and thriving, if you’re gonna ask for info on all the good fishing spots, don’t walkout empty handed. Buy a hat, a shirt, or at least a couple of flies, it’s the right thing to do. Please go checkout this topnotch shop!

Met the owner Bill, nice guy. He had a spare reel I’d been searching for in stock. Only a short drive away, good location. His shop has a lot of great fly fishing apparel and gear. I’ll definitely shop there again👍

I'm a complete novice to fly fishing and asked Peninsula Outfitters to set me up for beach fishing for a know nothing nube!. Lance was very knowledgeable and patient and I had a great time and even caught a couple of fish! The only downside is that it was very expensive for 4 to 5 hours at $400 + tip its not something I'll be doing often!

I purchased a $130 net from the flyshop from one of the employee's. The first time I used it I noticed there was a crack on the underside of the handle. I came home and called the flyshop and they asked that I bring it in. I was told I could exchange it wth a receipt. When I went to the shop today with the net and receipt I was told by the owner (Bill Drewry) to contact the manufacturer... After I contacted the manufacturer who told me there's no guarantee on my net, Bill then told me how he didn't want to get involved. This is a flyshop that I have been loyal to since I was a kid. I am now a fisheries major in college and the owner can't exchange a defective net? I am very disappointed because I feel like I got burned.
