Home depot might have an ocean of cheaply assembled garbage but what they lack is that personal touch that makes you feel like someone actually cares. Max went above and beyond to help me and my family fix our plumbing problem on a budget and he wasnt rude about the fact that I was trying to save some money by fixing it myself. Save yourself the headache and get your parts here because these folks will take care of you.

This store boasts a dizzying variety of goods, but limited choices. Some aisles are very narrow and it would be difficult to get past another person. Limited lighting and narrow aisles make it difficult to to see items well, especially reading small print. Staff was friendly and ready to help. It reminds me of the days before the big box stores. Classic hometown hardware store with many hidden gems to discover.

Limited selection with less stock currently. If needing more than boxes of screws, not advised to buy loose ones, it will cost more than the box for a lot number of items. Check out was entertaining and they do get to know their customers.

One of the few remaining locally owned hardware stores. They are always very help whether I need stain or paint or just have some general questions about lawn care or whatever. Give them a chance before the big box stores if you are in the local are of Poulsbo.

I stopped there to buy a cotter pin for my motorcycle's rear axle only to find that they had a 3.00 minimum for card purchases. They were so helpful and rounded up the .68 for the pin rather than send me on my way without. I will definitely be shopping here in the future.

The staff here is FRIGGIN' AMAZING! They saved our butts big time in a critical situation where we were driving in from Southern Bainbridge where nothing was open. I called ahead and explained our situation and they stayed late for us (don't get any ideas, this was a critical situation). They have a wonderful selection of screws, nuts, bolts and washers! I would have liked to check out the rest of the store, maybe next time when they are officially open.Again, I cannot thank the staff enough for being willing to help us instead of hanging with their families, having a beer, or Both!-note to the owner of this business- your employees went above and beyond, I hope you appreciate them as much as we do. I really enjoy small jam packed hardware stores. You can find all sorts of odds & sods in every corner. They still carry products that the big boxes staff stare blankly and wonder what you'd ever use that for. I found a special purpose light at DIB that neither Big Box had any desire to carry.

Outstanding customer service and I highly recommend. I stopped for a small plastic piece of hose for a trombone and Nick was incredibly helpful and quickly cut it to size for me. You don't get this type of customer service at places like Home Depot.

This small store almost has everything crammed in it. I go here quite a bit usually to pick up final finishing materials for larger projects. Super convenient for me since I'm close. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and if your looking for tough to find items 99% of the time they have it some place in this store!! The big box stores will tell you that's a special order item, try Coast they'll probably have it!

I'll never shop at this store again. I had my mask around my neck when I walked in and had forgotten to pull it up before I entered. The guy behind the counter asked "do you have a mask"? I said "oh yeah, sorry", as I was pulling it up. While I'm pulling my mask up, the same guy very harshly said "THEN GET IT OVER YOUR FACE!".If Do It Best is going to treat customers this way, there are plenty of other places to spend my money.

It's amazing how many different things they have in such a small space! If you need something around your house, they probably have it. (No need to go to a big-box store.) And they're always friendly and helpful so you can find what you're looking for.

Prices are just as good as the big places but the friendly helpful staff keep me coming back.While I wouldn't go here to get supplies for a major renovation this place has everything else you need from bird seed to paint, to hardware and yard care.

I had a terrible experience at this store. I asked for deck stain and was given the wrong color and the wrong base. I questioned it when I got home and opened the can and it was pink, not the clay color I ordered, and was assured it would dry to the color I ordered. It was not even close. When I took the can back to the store (Now my 3rd trip there and having wasted several hours putting the wrong stain on my deck) and showed them the dried color, they agreed it was wrong and told me the company had put the wrong color recipe in the machine and they had started with the wrong base. They did not have the right recipe so we changed colors, me assuming they would replace their mistake free of charge, as any reputable business would. They insisted I pay, telling me I would have to talk to the owner when he came in the next day (which he finally did at 3). At that point the owner told me I would have to go to the paint company to get my money back, since it was their mistake and that's how the paint company wanted them to do it. Terrible, terrible customer service, refusing to right a mistake they admit they made. The owner told me that the only person in there who had experience painting anything was himself, so don't go in here for advice OR a quality product. I will never shop here again. Lots of alternatives in Poulsbo.

Awesome small hardware store with an extremely comprehensive selection of everything you could possibly need. I think it's a franchise and possibly family owned so always go there first in preference to the big hardware stores. They almost never let me down.

The staff was very helpful in findings a weighted pressure weight. Nobody in the area had or knew what we were talking about. They did and had the spare part. It assured my notion about shopping local.

Nice little hardware store with quite a large selection of stuff for being so small (compared to HD or Lowes). Price differences seemed negligable, and the staff's helpfullness and knowledge really makes the value more. Gave me great advise on fixing a leaky faucet that turned out saving me waiting a week for a special ordered part online. Awsome!

Cut new keys for used car I just bought. The line was slow, but the keys worked the first time I tried them. Bought new keyfob because the original was missing. Worked perfectly after programming.

Lifesavers!!!! My husband and I were on our way from Port Townsend to pick up a kayak (on Bainbridge). Made a stop in Silverdale...and then made 10 stops at every hardware/home improvement and auto store around looking to purchase a tailgate extender. No one had one! Figured I would give it a try and call Coast in Poulsbo... YES!! They saved the day. Super friendly staff! Hannah and... ooops, can’t remeber his name. He was so thorough to go over every detail of the rack, weight limit, dimensions. Set it aside until we could get there. Recommend for customer experience & great prices.
