This is the absolute best clinic I have ever taken My pups, too, both of the Kinders, are so wonderful and take absolutely amazing care of my dogs. They also have a very loving and caring staff! They are always so prompt to get us in no matter what's going on. Highly recommend!!

This place was holding my cat's prescription food hostage until I had them examined. When I called, naturally pissed off cause my cat was low on food & that's when I order his food through chewy, I apparently hurt the receptionists feelings & after I made an appointment for the end of the week I asked if they'd approve the prescription for the food & she said no they had to see him first. Naturally again I was pissed off & told her he was low on food & needed this food to keep from having a surgery if he got another urinary blockage. She then hung up on me because I was raising my voice, wow shocker there. I called and spoke with office manager who told me to take my cat elsewhere cause they didn't like that I was upset & raising my voice. All because I didn't respond to their 4 voice mails last month where they did not tell me they were going to with hold the prescription until they saw my cat. If you care for your animal don't take them here.

šš Please Read ššThis place is horrible! I had my daughter take my companion cat in for a follow up appointment for a issues with his ear he had been dealing with. I had told them the day prior I wasn't going to do the surgery they suggested. As is was a tad expensive and I wanted to see what other options were available. Well they talked my daughter into approving the surgery and without so much as a phone call. They rushed Percy in for non-emergency surgery without taking proper protocol i.e food/water restrictions. Not to mention they don't do same day surgery for something like that according to the front desk. Well they killed my cat!! This non-emergency surgery that could have been done with proper preparationresulted In Percy Aspirating and his lungs filling up with fluid. The "vet" Josh had not remorse for what he did and was trying to hold back a smile while telling me my cat is dieing and what my options were. Well considering money was a issue hints why I didn't want to do the $1400 surgery. I had no choice but to put him down because he was suffering. They pulled the trigger and rushed my 5 year old baby boy into non-emergency surgery that ended his life. I would never recommend this horrible place to anyone!

I think that Dr. Josh was amazing we have four heelers he has done surgery on two. He also has medicated our one of heelers she has some aggressive & anxiety issues. Sheās been on the same medicine for almost five years. We really trusted this vet we looked at them as family. Just out of the blue I get a call back that our animals are taking up to much time. They were the ones that made it necessary we bring Mya in to have her blood check to make sure all of the meds are okay for her organs over $500 just be kicked to the curb. They have seen Ezra & Ember once & our cat Baha once in the last year. Unfortunately Mya has to be on prescriptions & itās just getting in there way. Not enough time. I have sent som many people to see them. We honestly felt so close with them. We started seeing them six years ago but have been in & out of the state. Bottom line the nurse manager who really isnāt that friendly called to tell me that they are done with us & our animals we are not welcome back. Not even from our vet that has been the one person to keep Mya going. Unfortunately either sheās medicated or she gets put down. Iām in disbelief

We love Clifton Hollow Animal Hospital! Both Dr.Josh Kinder & Dr.Sherri Kinder have been absolutely incredible with our pups. They take their time, explain our options, and genuinely care for our dogs. We have one dog who seems to have a myriad of reasons for visits to the vet and struggles with anxiety. She is always comfortable and calm when coming here which definitely makes us feel better about the experience overall. They go out of their way to provide the necessary information and more so that we can make informed decisions for our pups. We trust them completely and always recommend them to anyone looking for a vet. They provide very detailed estimates prior to any service so that we can get an accurate cost before moving forward with treatments of any kind. Thereās nobody else we would take our girls to, thank you Clifton Hollow for going above and beyond and caring so deeply!

If there was less than 1 star thats what I would give. Clifton Hollow misdiagnosed my dog with pyometrea which is a deadly infection BEFORE recieving bloodwork results that should have ONLY been done in-house with this diagnosis. They gave her pills she never needed and had I not had help from family to afford the surgery at Willow Tree Animal Hospital (AMAZING PLACE, GO HERE INSTEAD!!) I would have had to put her down with such a dangerous disgnosis. Luckily I didnt have to, but I am livid and have yet to make calls. This caused so much unnecessary emotional distress and us to spend money we didnt have. DO NOT GO HERE. Ridiculously expensive for the visit and misdiagnosis. I will be contacting the BBB

Dr. Josh is caring. Staff is very friendly to humans and compassionate and loving to our four-leggeds. Saved Boise's life when as a youngster he accidently got out of the car, running across a busy parking lot and into an oncoming vehicle; now he is helping us negotiate the dog's senior years.

***BEWARE***We lived in Poulsbo for 3 years and had our lab taken in as this was a convenient location. The pricing is very expensive compared to other places in the Kitsap area. Dr. Josh seemed as if he genuinely cared about our dog. However, we paid a couple thousand dollars for a procedure to remove a tumor they reported to be malignant from her foot [will always question the validity of that result]. Postoperatively everything went terribly wrong [which I see has been a trend after reviewing more recent reviews], the area split open from walking on it, and she was visibly in pain and suffering. I didnāt appreciate the follow up care provided by the facility. We paid a couple hundred more to have her evaluated by them, which they relayed they couldnāt do anything, and I asked for more or a different kind of pain meds which we were denied. We ended up taking her to the animal hospital down the road and they cleaned and redressed the area for another $500. After that, we decided to move on. I do not trust this place, and I will always regret putting our dog through this.

š DONāT TAKE YOUR PET HERE šHello, I'm writing this today to spread awareness of this horrible establishment ! Clifton Hollow Animal Hospital located in poulsbo Washington. Joshua Kinder is a neglectful greedy veterinarian. I took my companion animal into the clinic on September 26th 2023 for a hematoma on his ear. He was treated at that time with a antibiotic shot and ear cleaning. I was quoted cost for surgery and set with a (follow up) appointment for Tuesday October 3rd 2023 @1 pm. I had told them when they called to confirm his follow up appointment, that I wasnt going to go through with the surgery. I wanted to explore other options as it was rather expensive . We took him in for his follow-up and he was doing fine, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't getting worse as in blood infection. He was perfectly healthy 5 year old kitty. They rushed him I'm for non-emergency surgery same day without making sure he didn't eat or drink. Also not so much as a phone call to me the owner and one responsible for the bill. Not to mention, after all was said and done (without my consent) I get a phone call @ 344 pm stating Percy is all ready and doing great. I then exspessed how i wasnt paying the bill due to me not knowing nor approving it. The gal at the front desk agreed and said she was surprised because she remembers talking to me and I declined the surgery also they don't do surgery on Tuesdays. I then get a call from the office @433pn saying Percys condition has taken a turn for the worse. I arrive a few minutes later and Kinder told me his lungs are filling up with fluid and they don't know why. Well Dr Kinder took it upon himself to admit my cat for non-emergency same day surgery without proper protocol and restrictions. That lead to my cat Aspirating and his lungs filling up with fluid. He died October 3rd 2023 @ 530pm at Clifton hallow animal hospital due to the negligence of Dr Kinder and his staff! #animalcruelty #neglect #malpractice #Justice #cliftonhollowanimalhospital

Amazing practice. 10 ā's . Complementary visit for medical check up within 10 days of adoption from Kitsap humane society. Smooth check in and compassionate care for your family all around. Professional and friendliest veterinarian practice we have ever used!

Great staff and friendly. Always looking out for the best for your pet. Highly recommend. A little on the pricey side but they make up for it in their service. One of my dogs had a blackberry thorn in his eye and the emergency clinic kept me waiting for 16 hours, with only 1 phone checkup. Eye trauma is counted the same as life threatening emergency. I stayed awake all night waiting and couldn't take it anymore. First thing when their office opened, I called Clifton hollow about my concerns. Dr Josh canceled a previously scheduled appointment just to meet with him and check him out Immediately. That earned them top spot in my book.

The staff are are all extremely friendly and good with animals. It's very clean in the lobby and public areas, no pet messes in sight when I've been there. The vet has always been compassionate with my pets and has an excellent record in treating them. The prices are high, but I haven't compared them to any other clinic's: I've always felt the money was well-spent.

The people are great with my animals but there prices are high just shots and a check up is expensive about $400 for a small a dog. So when I took my 4 four small dogs in for shots and check up cost me about $1,500. They are very nice people but there prices hurt.

Love this vet as far as actual care towards my animals, though I'm very frustrated as far as communication with owners. I took my pets in a month or two ago to get ready to fly to another state, fast forward to today I wanted to request flea meds, and knowing that I took my pets in within the year I was pretty confident that It would be approved. Turns out the health certificate and general check over didn't count as an annual exam so I can't get those medications now, wish I was told that the day of the appointment so then I could have made it a normal annual exam, super frustrated with the lack of communication and care as far as that goes, the price of the check-up was even the same as the annual exam if not slightly more. Like I said love them as far as on hands care but after coming here for years, they couldn't have told me, that was very disappointing indeed.Edit: in response to the reply I like to clarify something. Yes I was told when Iām in my new state to find a primary vet. But I was never told that that visit was the day I could get any prescription required meds, and I was never made aware I wouldnāt be able to get any of those āneed a yearly examā for certain meds like flea and tick. As well as not being informed that this visit wouldnāt count as a yearly exam š the only thing mentioned to me that I declined was a heart worm blood test and meds

The staff is nice but the prices are crazy expensive, will never go again. we called before the visit to get rough estimates on a price for a spay. They refused to give a price. And only gave a checkup price which did not include the blood work that needed done on the visit. So I paid 70 bucks to have someone literally weigh my dog. Then I was given the prices for everything else. I wasted time and gas which could have been prevented with a rough price before the visit. It took the doctor all of 1 minute to get a price while in the clinic. I guess the goal is get you in then get your money.

Always take great care of my dog, and are great at communicating, even between visits. They are very good and patient with my anxious pet, and go the extra mile to make her comfortable there. Even after we moved, I continued drive the extra distance to keep taking her here instead of changing vets, it's very worth it.

The staff at Clifton Hollow are friendly , knowledgeable and professional. I have been taking my dogs there for only 3 or 4 months. I would not take them anywhere else. I trust them completely that they will take care of my babies probably better than I do.

Absolutely amazing place! We've been talking our dog there for years. They are always super nice, very friendly and they treat your animal companian like a part of your family (which for us they are). We had to finally put our boy down and they cried with us. Then, like a week later, we recieved a sympathy card In the mail from them, signed by the whole staff. I would travel a long ways if I had to, just to take any of my animal companions to Clifton Hollw. Highly, highly recommended!

Very caring and keeps both pets and their parents in mind when helping determine the best course of treatment. No guilt if the choice is the less expensive route, and their monthly preventative plan makes this the most ecconomical vet around for year-round care. We love Dr Josh!

When the vet lays on his stomach with you and your dog as you have to say goodbye you know they care. They have always explained what was going onto me without talking down to me, given me all of my options and been honest with how if how much certain options would really benefit my animal. The vet techs also care as deeply for their patients and are so good with them. I will use this clinic as long as it is around.

Exceptionally good at this covid process. Especially when you have to give your pet to an unknown and the customer stays outside. James, the vet tech, did an outstanding job at keeping us up to date and even with all the not great news he kept calm and explained the issues.

They performed a surgery on my dog to remove three tumors. And that all went well. They were friendly, my dog liked them. But then things took a turn. They had me bring her in two weeks later to remove her stitches. They checked her out, said she was healing just fine, took them out and sent us home.Within an hour of us getting home and her laying down on the carpet her one of her wounds was completely reopened and the other was starting to follow. Now mistakes happen. I'm sure they didn't cut corners and did their best. But when I rushed my bleeding and traumatized dog back in they charged me almost $400 to clean her now open wounds, stitch her back up, and prescribe her more antibiotics. Her rather serious injuries were directly the results of their mistake. The stitches were not ready to come out. They should have stood by their work and resolved the medical emergency that they created.I'm disappointed in the incredible lack of character demonstrated in this unfortunate situation.

Doctors Sherri and Joshua Kinder at Clifton Hollow Animal Hospital provide superbly professional and compassionate veterinary care. Their hospital is convenient, clean, and inviting. The medical staff is outstanding and their pet and pet owner care are unmatched. Dr. Joshua Kinder recently provided me with an in depth examination and diagnosis of my dog, and additionally provided me with the sensitive counsel that I sought for making the right decision for the long term care of my dog. With over 20 years in Kitsap County and having received the services of 4 other animal hospitals and a number of veterinarians, Doctors Kinder and Clifton Hollow Animal Hospital are and will continue to be my veterinarians and animal hospital of choice.

Told me that a visit would be $68 + whatever the doctor recommended. Came out with an "estimate" for $500! Made me have my cat get "pre-op bloodwork" to have her spayed, and the "estimate" for the surgery, for $919.00! When I expressed that I am low income, and don't have that kind of money, they suggested I apply for care credit. 100% said "only in America do I have to apply for a loan to get my cat fixed!" They managed to get $180 out of me for a visit and a blood draw. Ended up going to KHS, got very lucky they had a spot, and getting her fixed for under $100, no required "pre-op bloodwork".Unless you have gobs of cash you can just give to this business, I suggest you shop around.

Very friendly folks here. My dog seems to like them. They took care of my dog and even called just to check up on him after his surgery. Hopefully I won't have to, but now I have a place I can trust next time I have an emergency.
