found some good button up shirts in the men’s section! and a cute frame - definitely have to hunt for the good pieces

Customer service is probably the worst I've experienced at any Goodwill. I'm not expecting Nordstrom, but employees in donations area and at least one person at checkout are simply rude and uncooperative.

Reasonably priced items compared to goodwills in Arizona. Overall, the store is quite cleanly, easy to navigate. The shoes and clothes seem to be well maintained. Donations vary making all the merchandise varying weekly.

Today I bought a ‘rope ball toy’ for my dog here, it was in the dog section, labeled as a dog toy, and had 8 other of the same item labeled as the same in the same space. It was not a dog toy, and we found that out the hard way when my dog started choking on the styrofoam in the middle of the ‘rope ball toy’ (says nowhere on the toy tag that it has styrofoam) and we rush her to the vet having to spend over $500 for them to get the styrofoam out of her throat, stomach and her nasal cavity. When I called goodwill in port Townsend and told them what happened just minutes ago, the man that answered (John) said they couldn’t do anything and it wasn’t their fault that it was in the wrong section/mislabeled or that I “didn’t think to check it beforehand”. My family and I are disabled and have very limited income and to have to spend over $500 to save our service animal (who alerts my parents when/if I’m going to pass out) and then be told that it’s our fault for not checking something that was labeled as a dog toy really pisses off me, my family and even the veterinarians. The employee John was so callous and basically irritated that I would even bother to call. He also told me that there were no managers there until tomorrow and when I asked to speak to corporate (could not find the right number on Google) he got mad and asked for my name and number, and once he got it he said “I’ll talk to my manager tomorrow and maybe she’ll give you a call, bye.” And hung up before I could say anything else, when I tried calling back (thinking it could have been an accident hang up) he answered and once I said who I was he said I need to “stop calling and wait for the manager to get ahold of me”(Only called a total of two times). I usually love this goodwill because it has a good variety, quality items for a good price, and usually great customer service, but now I’m apprehensive of going inside let alone buy anything else from this location because of how I was treated like I was overreacting on something that wasn’t my fault

I want to start my review by saying that I would give the employees five stars, especially checkers, who are generally working by themself with a massive line of people and maintain kindness and a positive attitude in what is clearly a stressful situation.I have had very few negative experiences with employees, they almost always go above and beyond what I would expect or ask.The store is usually well organized, however, the pricing is insane. I say this as someone who thrifts almost everything I buy so I have a good feel for pricing in other areas including other goodwill stores. The port townsend goodwill prices things as if they're a retail vintage shop, items sit on the shelf for months due to their unrealistic prices. If this was company wide I would just avoid the goodwill entirely but even the pricing in Sequim is more reasonable for USED/donated items. You can't expect to get antique shop prices for broken and dirty items that someone who doesn't understand reselling decided to price up without the knowledge to actually appraise them.

I was visiting Port Townsend and went into the local Goodwill as I do every city I visit.Unfortunately it was dark and the smell was absolutely overwhelming. I’m guessing the store is having sewer issues and no it wasn’t low tide. I really wanted to see what the Port Townsend Goodwill had to offer but I had to leave.

How does goodwill price items higher than a new retail store?

Great store. We are in a trip and my wife forgot a belt so this was a great stop for us. I was surprised to see they also sell some new things too. It was very clean for a thrift shop.

High quality Goodwill in terms of both selection quality and staff.Would recommend it you're looking for an outfit overhaul, speaker system parts, cookwear, and a lot more.Staff are also very pleasant, and helpful when needed.

Goodwill prices are to high suppose to be a little less so people who don't have much can afford shopping there I still do but very little. And it's not like I don't about the place. Wal-Mart's you could find thing's that are cheaper. Plus stuff doesn't stink.

This goodwill is awful. They don't allow you to try on clothes anymore! Now they say "you can return anything that doesn't fit!" But they won't give you your money back!!! Instead they make you put it on a store credit! Absolutely ridiculous. Don't waste your money shopping here.

During the height of COVID I understand shortening hours, but I was just there on a Friday and at 5:40 they cut the lights off, then announced they're closing in 10 minutes, then it was 5 minutes 3 more times. I did not find what I was looking for in the dark, then they announced it was time to leave. On the way out I showed the lady at the door, who was not allowing people in, that there was still 9 minutes. She informed me they follow a corporate clock that's different than other time. So, they close at 6pm on a Friday, and she said they'll reopen at 10am on a Saturday.... Those seem like pretty lazy hours, no?Anyway, regardless of this last awful experience, in general the Port Townsend Goodwill used to be very dear to my family as well as many other locations I'm sure. But the last couple years this location has less and less cool scores, and if you do find something the prices are sometimes more than if you bought it new.Maybe the decreased hours are a sign the PT Goodwill is failing? It sure isn't the same vibe.

Called to check in about donations, the person who answered, was rude and dismissive and hung up on me twice. If my intention was to “dump” on them I wouldn’t have called for the guidelines!

No furniture anymore at this location, and no fitting rooms either. Because of that the store-credit-only return policy is a drag. Selection for women's clothing (small-med) is usually ok, but the prices are sometimes surprisingly high. Because of that, I only donate items here that the consignment stores have already passed on.

The first thing I have to criticize is that horrible stink. The typical smell of thrift stores. That store has always battled that problem and when you go in there's no ventilation and it stinks so bad your eyes actually tear up and burn.Clothing is way too expensive. The clothing is mostly incorrectly sized. Sometimes children sizes are placed in with the adult sizes. And if the tag on the piece of clothing is faded it doesn't deserve to be 1999. Same with shoes. They get all this stuff for free it's donated by the community or it comes from other stores mostly. And yes I have seen Dollar store items they're in this Goodwill and $4.99 and $5.99 for something that was bought originally for $1 seriously? Also everything is just thrown on a shelf. It used to be where you would go into Goodwill and this is probably over 7 years ago, you could walk in the Goodwill and the shelves were full of really nice clean donated items. Everything on the shelves whether it was dishes or knick knacks of wood or metal or office supplies or games and toys it looks nice because there is people in the back to always fix it. But now the things already come pre-priced from another store and the type of items that this good will get are terrible. So I have refused to go there. Also since the money made at this store goes to tacoma.

Fun medium-sized thrift store with better-than-average stock. Since I went mid-September, there was a Halloween display up front with costume supplies and a TV playing Harry Potter. I went in looking for some boho style pants and found some, for about half the price of what I've seen at other thrift stores. My experience with the checkout staff was friendly and pleasant. I would say that it is more clothes-heavy than I usually see, though there are definitely all the other sections as well. If you're looking for 12th Man/Seahawks clothes, this is a good spot: in Men's there were two racks of just Seahawks clothes. This is the best store in the Tacoma Goodwill network that I've visited so far.

I am glad it is open for business but donations are not easy. They frequently close the donations drive-up at random times during the "open" hours, even if there is a lineup of cars waiting. This has happened twice in the last week. I wish there was an alternative donation spot with more regular hours.

this is absolutely the cleanest Goodwill I've ever been in! I often have trouble in thrift stores because of all the dust and odor. Can't stay too long or I get a headache. I swear these guys launder everything that is for sale! So neat and tidy.Prices are a little higher than other goodwills, but it's worth it. I just hope it means they pay their employees a better-than-average wage.a lot of people don't realize how many brand new items Goodwill's carry. These guys had a great deal on women's socks, headphones, and much more. A huge selection of books for a very good price! Definitely worth the visit

It's okay, but the prices are way too high for a thrift store. Used shirts are six dollars and up. The shoes and pants are very high also. Sometimes I can get a nice piece of furniture for garage sale prices, but most of the stuff is overpriced. I realize there are overhead costs, but the store received all this stuff for free so it seems they could go a little lower. The customer service has always been fine there, and the workers who put stuff on the shelves work their tails off I just can''t get over the prices.

Sadly I went to Goodwill on a day the store looked picked over. However, I was able to find what I was looking for so my trip wasn't a total loss. Generally, the store is clean with even cleaner bathrooms. The staff friendly and helpful, but I miss their brown sacks with twine handles and publications that inform on sale dates and specials.

Usually the staff is at least semi - pleasant and as helpful as you request that they be. Occasionally this is not true and a staff member is 99.9% unhelpful and fairly rude. This goodwill has a very wide and good selection of clothing, the electronics are very poor and should be avoided, Halloween costumes are voluminous and good, plus sizes are few to be found, winter jackets are almost never available, shoes only come in the most average sizes for women, and belts for women are never offered above size large and typically not above size small. The quality of the clothes typically very good.

Over all good experience. We found an outfit for my daughters band concert fairly quickly, and a few other odds and ends. Although I have to mention that the woman who was working this night seemed to be on edge for some unknown reason. First she came over to inform me I was not able to assist my daugter in the dressing room, one person allowed in a room at a time, kinda silly for mom and daughter, and I was already waiting outside when approached, but. Fine. And only three items allowed, that part we knew because it was posted. Fine. Unfortunately for others in the store she is out for blood or something. She left us, confused as to why we were confronted with rules we weren't even breaking, and went straight to a woman sitting in a chair near the front of the store. She then began telling the woman that loitering is not allowed, demanding to know when her ridewould be there and on and on went the conversation. I just have to mention that I felt uncomfortable, and this other person was humiliated for no reason as well, so I really feel that it's not right. Is it really loitering to wait for a ride out of the weather?! Or a crime to want to see your kid in an outfit before purchase while maintaining the girls privacy?! Can't there be a better way to handle these kind of situations?I recommend rules be posted clearly and reinforced, by reminder, when necessary. Don't just treat all your customers like criminals, in my opinion it's rude at best. To the woman Diane who was having a bad day, I hope your day got better, and tomorrow is brighter... I just want you to know how you made us all feel.

It is so sad to see a "Dollar Store" item priced at 4 times what you would pay brand new. It is also sad to see other retail items priced at double their value as seen in other retail stores. It is sad to see a price tag placed directly over a manufacturers tag which gets destroyed and reduces the value of collectables and fine items... that pisses me off sometimes. Please train your staff to respect the potential value of collectables and fine items. I am sure you will net a return on your training investment that will show up over time when the public can come to expect the best possible value in their purchases from you.

Came in hoping to find the movie Titanic on DVD but they didn’t have. Guess I’ll just go watch Jerry McGuire instead. Also no dressing rooms.

I give this a 2 and a half. My bestie and I were having a good time and than when it was time to check out I went to the closest register near me and I was behind one lady that was already getting checked out. The lady in front of me had a few items and the register clerk who was scanning her items looked at me and told me that I should go over there to the next register, the next one had 3 ppl in line, so I told her why are you closing? She paused for a minute and then said yes, I feel like she didn't want to check my 2 items out because she didn't like how I look. She continues to help the other white costumers after saying she was closing. This should not be happing in our Goodwill store.

I go here often and usually find something every time, but the prices have steadily increased over the last couple years. 7.99 for a used shirt and 9.99 for shoes is too much. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Ok i know things were not fresh lit up and sharp as they used to be in the goodwill here. Maybe the masks. Maybe there have not been too many cheery customers either cos you know that cheery stuff has to go back and forth for ot to work. People were very nice. Not sure whats missing. . Something is for sure missing but it might be the hapoy mood. Thanks.

A well organized store, including a book section with different shelves for different categories. Sometimes the checkout lines can be long. They have a very nice holiday section.

They started closing doors by 5:40 when they close at six claiming that the three people in their store(3 cars in parking lot) was capacity and wouldn’t let anyone in. 2 people left within 2 minutes and they still refused to serve a homeless women who was going to hurriedly buy any long sleeve shirt she could because she was in a tshirt and last night it was 36 degrees out with tonight likely 41. There was no offer of help either. This is what goodwill is turning in to.
