It seems like their business model is to overcharge for everything because you're paying for convenience. They have regular coupons that offset this of you remember to bring/use them after giving up personal data. Their Stihl selection is pretty good, and they stock/order parts, but the computer systems aren't well integrated, so it takes some effort and patience. The tool and hardware selection is good, but if you're on a tight budget and need something common: go to Bi-Mart down the road.

What an incredible hardware store! I could get pleasantly 'lost' in this store of almost everything!In search of a hard-to-find outdoor tech gift, the great Ace Hardware website popped up in my Google search with availability at a few locations, including Port Orchard. I called to confirm it was on the shelf. The phone was answered quickly, professionally with a hint of holiday in the voice. After a few moments, the staff member confirmed inventory. The drive from Browns Point was well worth it.I arrived at a hardware store that exceeded my expectations. Not only was my item there, but a quick trip through the fastener section resulted in several more purchases.As to my outdoor tech search, this Ace had SD cards, cables, and so much more.While there, the staff and I reviewed the outdoor tech item and discussed many of the features and details. Their suggestions and ideas were offered in a suggestive, supportive way. Other stores have staff that talk down to customers. This team at Ace was simply fantastic.I look forward to my next visit.

This specific location is a good store but the management and store leadership is downright atrocious. I will no longer buy from this store location because of that. There is a great Lowes hardware about 10 minutes away that I strongly suggest you visit instead of this specific store location.

The staff at Scott Mclendon's Ace Hardware are always helpful, I visit the store frequently for a variety of household projects and improvements. There are always staff on the sales floor to help me find just the right solution. Recently they helped extensively with an unusual return after a tool broke. The tool's manufacturer had a difficult return procedure and the staff at Scott Mclendon's Ace Hardware worked diligently to figure out a quick way to solve my problem. I'm grateful for their high daily standards and how they can go the extra mile in unusual circumstances.

Experienced and knowledgeable employees. Friendly cashiers. Prices are just a little higher than the bigger stores but at least you get help here. Unlike the bigger stores where you can't find anyone to help ad if you do find an employee, they really don't know much. I choose Scott Mclendons every time.

A true old-time hardware store where you are actually helped. Brought in a mirror that wouldn't stay in fixed position and walked out with a repaired mirror, not just the 2 tiny screws required to fix it. Amazing customer service!!!

We called to see if an item we needed was available - the phone was answered quickly, the person who answered was friendly, very helpful and quickly found what we needed. When we picked it up, the person at the counter was just as nice and professional.

Not the biggest store, but they carry some items that the big stores do not. Whether needing some hardware items for my deck, fixing a toilet, or buying some copper tubing for my daughter's science project, this was the store I went to first. I gave 4 stars simply because there are cheaper options on some items elsewhere, and I think too much of their limited space is given to electric riding mowers or BBQs inside the store, but their staff is helpful and it's a great store.

It's always nice to walk into a store that offers assistance from the get-go. A feeling of old, a place so welcoming and excited to have you. If what you seek is unavailable onsite, you can be reassured they will help you, either order for delivery, check inventory of other sites, and if no luck they will even recommend another retailer all for the sake of the customer leaving satisfied. This store has never lost its value for the customer and retains high standards when it comes to customer service. We are grateful for their business here in our community.

The staff always greets you and asks if they can help. I love it! We always try to go here when needing a hardware store before anywhere else.Tonya went above and beyond helping us locate the last one of an item in stock that we wanted. She was fantastic. Customer service at its finest.

Picked up my 8mths old Stihl chainsaw today from a Tune Up. Im Mechanically inclined, but Wanted to support local. Used it maybe 6x in that 8 months. $125 bill they gave me. “Needed” an new spark plug, fuel filter… ect. As a mechanic, thats taking your customer for what they got. Raking them thru the coals. My saw cost me $370 new when i bought it. So close to 1/2 its NEW retail price asking for JUST a tune up. I love supporting my small town & thought they’d take care of me. Ive spent over 1k in the year ive lived here with ACE in paints, tools, ext… We can agree to disagree on all the in’s & outs of it, but i will not be shopping here again after getting bent over like this, and will be letting everyone else i can know. They WILL bend you over at the Register.
