We took my Aunt and my grandparents today and sat on the patio and had lunch and it was such an amazing day! The weather was nice, the view of downtown was gorgeous, and the food was to die for!! We came on my birthday last year and it was amazing then too!! My family LOVED everything about it, down to the homemade iced tea! My husband and I did miss the garlic fries they used to have but the onion rings made up for it!! There was also a motorcycle gang that came for lunch and they got packed fast and the staff handled it seamlessly it was very impressive! Highly recommendWheelchair accessibility: Very easy, my grandparents just wheeled right up to the tables on the patio from the parking lot

What a great little place off the beaten path. Beautiful drive to this small little town and found this gem. House smoke their meats and all of our food was delicious. Very friendly for kids and dogs. Brought out a bucket of water for a dog and there are crayons and chalk to color with on paper and on the sidewalks. Also there's a little playhouse for kids. Clean and very friendly service.

Excellent dinner. Their meats were great, with a special shout out to the pitmaster for the Smoked Turkey. Turkey is hard to make macro for the daily menu. It rarely turns out as good as you do it at home, but their's has great smokey flavor, is tender, and has a consistancy of a top-shelf deli meat. It's clearly smoked and processed in house, and attests to how genuine this place is. Wifey had it as her main, and I had it on my Club. Was able to sample their brisket in their soup-of-the-day (Beef Stew) and it was excellent as well. All other sides were great, and seemed to be made fresh that day. And it's the little things that impress me sometimes--like offerings of delicous pickled vegs, and whipped honey butter with the cornbread. Good home town folks running the joint, and it was busy early on a Sat night. You'll pay a premium for this barbecue, and we had no problem doing so. We would again...

Good barbecue pork sandwich, fish and chips was excellent and the wrap rounded out a good meal. The only downside was the barbeque beans they were garbanzo beans no the the regular beans you would expect with barbeque.

Nice scenic drive from busy Pullman to historic Palouse and this little gem of a restaurant. It wasn’t a traditional Reuben but very yummy. Really good onion rings! Attentive service.

We came for lunch. There was an open-air patio with plenty of seating. They had a nice menu that included smoked pork, beef and chicken which they seem to smoke/barbecue themselves. I haven't ever had corn salad before trying theirs. I was talking to another couple sitting next to us, they recommended the corn salad. Yummy stuff!! It was a great side to my pulled pork sandwiches. The service was good, the place was clean. Yup, we'll stop by again.

I enjoyed the Road Hog Reuben sandwich. Loved the quality and quantity. Also it wasn’t drenched in so much sauce that it dripped. Personal preference not a fan of dripping hand held food. My son and his wife shared one of the meat combos. Since they ate everything I can only assume they enjoyed it. They go there occasionally but it was only my second time. They had live music playing in the outdoor seating area, Irish. Even inside it was enjoyable.

Such a fantastic restaurant. My cousin owns it but I promise that doesn't sway my opinion at all! They use in family recipes and the food reflects it. The 20 minute drive from Pullman or Moscow is really scenic and so worth the experience.

We discovered the Palouse Caboose a couple weeks ago on our way to Garfield to pick apples. The food was delicious and plentiful. Not a huge beer selection, but the beers they had on tap were top notch. The beer I had was one of the best beers I've in the past few years. If you're in Pullman or Moscow, it is totally worth the drive to Palouse for the food, drinks, and atmosphere.

Don't even think about not trying the brisket sandwich. The Onion rings are great, too. To top it all off, they have huckleberry ice cream!

The Caboose is a great local watering hole, with 10 taps, a patio for outside seating, and some amazing bbq. The pulled pork tacos, street taco style, and brisket sandwiches, bring the locals back time and time again. Service is always with a smile and a "how ya doin'?"April 2019 update: the patio is back open after bring closed for winter! Dog friendly with water buckets!

Love this place. The food is great. The price is reasonable, and the servings were so generous. I love their hobo nachos and loaded fries. The service was outstanding. The atmosphere and energy are fantastic! I love that we could sit outside, so our furbabies don't have to stay in the vehicle during the hot summer season. Even our furbabies' experience was great! The hostess gave our furbabies fresh water, which was so sweet. Every staff member was friendly and attentive. If I were local, this would be our place to go at all times.8/24/23:Came back for the last time. It was a great experience yet again, so I still give Palouse Caboose a 5 star. Our server was great, the food was fantastic and my friends and I were so happy. The only thing that disappointed me was when I was at the bar ready to order. I was 2nd in line. Then the other bar tender in black shirt, dark hair, tall, lean with pretty tattoos on her arm looked past me, and helped the gentleman behind me instead. That was really disappointing. I will not say anything negative about the bar tender. I will leave it at that. Let my readers decide.

Some of the best BBQ I've had. From the brisket to the pulled pork... this is the place. Excellent ice tea as well. Worth a drive!Update: Was out riding with a friend and stopped in for lunch. I had their burnt butt ends sandwich, served with jalapeño cheese (Mmmmm....), and a side of cole slaw. It's a special on the menu and isn't offered all the time... but ohhhh sooo good!Update: I brought my wife and daughters down for lunch on our way to WSU campus. Needless to say, but can't pass up the opportunity, it was awesome! Will never pass up the chance to visit the Palouse Caboose!

Came to town for a work meeting and was looking forward to trying this place out. I had the brisket rueben and it was excellent. The brisket was super tender and had a great flavor. Super fast and friendly service. I saw a lot of locals come in to eat and visit, which says a lot in these small towns.
