We booked a cabin for a very reasonable price, I think because the summer season is over and it snowed before we got here. We weren’t able to enter Mt. Rainier, since the road nearest Packwood to go to Paradise is now closed; however, there are still great hiking opportunities in the area. We hiked through snowy forests and enjoyed our time here. The cabin was clean and comfy, had a dishwasher and some basic dishes, as well as a big jetted tub. The heating system can make the whole cabin super warm and cozy. It’s only a few minutes from the main street of Packwood. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed in one of the cabins while visiting Mt Rainier. Cabin had everything we needed, including kitchenette and coffee in the room, jacuzzi tub and plenty of towels. Comfy bed, clean. Good location near town for groceries/places to eat. Sunrise and Paradise about an hour away. I accidentally left clothes in the closet, but I was able to make arrangements with the staff to have them shipped to me. We booked late, but were happy with the accommodations.

I did not stay at this lodge but the front person was very friendly on the phone. I would recommend this place just for the lady I talked to.ps: Sorry I couldn't cancel my trip; as the check-in was passed

Stayed for two nights at the couples cabin during out trip to Rainier National Park. The cabins feel very new and clean. The amenities including jacuzzi tab are great and the kitchen with a full size fridge and stove are good to have. These cabins are positioned as a luxury accomodations, but the reception, service and the rest of the compound is still a motel. The price of these cabins is also quite astronomical, but still they do feel great for a couple. As for the location, it is pretty good. You are 30 minutes away from Nachos and about an hour from Sunrise and Paradise

This was such a cute place to stay! I went snowboarding at White Pass and chose this spot for the cabin that had a hot tub inside, to soak soreness after being on the Mtn. all day. The staff was friendly, everything was super clean, had all the supplies we needed to use the little kitchen. The bed was super comfy and there was cable. I'll definitely stay here again for sure.

Our Stay was April 29th for one night. Sorry to say but we were pretty disappointed during our stay. It would have been a fair deal at $99, but the $159 plus tax was over priced. The room was ok, but have stayed in much nicer rooms for less money. Had to walk to the office three times to get help with the outdated remote, there are absolutely no amenities in the office, not even bottled water. Unless your plan is to enjoy winter sports there is nothing to do and it's 4 miles back to Packwood. We would not recommend this place.Read my review above.

We were late into town, stopped to eat before going to the hotel, the office closes at 9pm, which we didn't realize. They called to make sure we were still coming told us where they would put the key. We finished eating and headed to the hotel, we rented a king suite, the king bed didn't have any sheets, or pillowcases. There were no towels in the room. Woke up around 6am, my husband went to get towels, the office didn't open until 9am. He asked a maintenance man for some, and he got them for us. There wasn't any shampoo, and only an already open bar of soap. One of the trash cans was full. We only stayed 1 night as we planned on going to the Packwood flea market early, then heading home. It was a rather disappointing experience for how much we paid.

Pros: We stayed in the King suite. It was a decent size, decent beds, clean, lots of windows.Cons: Very weak wifi (had to stay in specific spots in the room), no cell coverage (had to drive 4 miles to Packwood to make phone calls), no land line in the room, no coffee maker in the room (have to walk down to the lobby to get your coffee). We had an issue with a clogged toilet at 10pm, no plunger in the room, and the front office/lobby closes at 9pm. There was an after hours emergency phone number on the check in form, but no one answered the call. Next morning, go to the office to let them know what happened and was told by the manager that they had changed the emergency phone number, but forgot to change it on the check in sheets. He also stated that he had tried to convince owners to have the lobby open later, because ' he wasn't going to get up out of bed to drive over to help anyone at 11:30 at night'. I requested a refund for the night's stay, but seriously doubt to see any refund. The staff just doesn't seem to care about their guests. They are charging way too much for their rooms for this type of guest care. If it were some dingy motel, I would expect it, but not when you pay as much as they are charging.

These folks SAVED our vacation. We didn’t read the fine print about late check-ins, and they were able to accommodate us at the last minute. Clean room, super spacious, perfect location to visit the Mt. Rainier NP - I cannot stress how perfect this place was.The housekeeper also gave the BEST RECOMMENDATIONS for hiking (Naches Loop Trail) and the hotel clerk gave the BEST RECOMMENDATION for dinner (Cruisers Pizza)! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I was supposed to stay for three nights, but on my last day, the electricity went off at 4pm. I was told that it happens often in Packwood and usually comes back in 2 hours. I waited the two hours and when it didn't come back on I decided to leave because I didn't want to sit in a room with no electricity, lights or wifi service. When I called to get a refund the next day for the one night, I was told they would not issue one. This is terrible customer service and if the electricity goes out often, it isn't a good place to stay because the Packwood Lodge won't do the honorable thing.

Very bad customer service and policies they canceled my reservation and took my deposit without contacting me in any form. When speaking with the call the center and hotel, I was argued with and was told it was my fault for them doing what they did. So now I am out money and a hotel. Worst place ever to deal with.Rooms: Wouldn't know because they canceled my reservation and took my money.

5 stars, our RV was out of commission so we rented one of the cabins for 2 days. Cabins were sweet! Well appointed with small range, refer, toaster, microwave, etc. The jacuzzi tub was nice but a little small. It worked great after a day riding the lifts. Exterior was tidy and we were right next to the tacoria. Office had board games and free coffee. Overall we loved our stay. My only complaint is the price, seemed high to me.

We made a quick stop here and stayed in one of the upstairs rooms at the back of the hotel. The room was OK, the walls are a bit thin and the room was small. To be fair we were told the room was small and offered the chance to look at it (twice) before we took it and we declined to look.. The price was good and the staff was nice. No complaints it was a warm dry place to sleep on the spur of the moment. The cabins loked nice we did not get a chance to check them out.

We had to change our reservation from booking.com due to a flight cancellation. The staff at Packwood Lodge was great in making sure we could keep our reservation for the night we needed and cancel the other night. The rooms were nice and clean. we had a double queen bed room, which was great for traveling with our two kids. There was a mini fridge in the room which was also really helpful. Good wifi too, which was needed because of no cell reception. The location is close to Packwood restaurants (check out the nearby brewery) as well as the Ohanapecosh entrance to Mount Rainier. It makes it easy to get into the park before the parking lots fill up.

If I could leave less than zero stars I would. This place is disgusting and covered with bugs. I came to visit this past weekend with a friend. Got into the room there were 3 spiders in webs and cricket on the floor. The ceiling wooden boards are covered in spider webs. I told the manager I couldn’t stay in a room filled with bugs but he claimed I used to room so I couldn’t get a new one cause he would be unable to sell that one. I had no choice but to leave. This cost me 200 dollars. And they refused to refund me. I have photos of the bugs in the rooms it was clear no one had cleaned this room or even been in in a while. I’ve stayed in national parks all around the US and never encountered this issue. I’m so disappointed. It was my first time in Washington state and in mt rainier the least you ask out of a hotel is for it to be clean and this hotel couldn’t even provide that. I strongly advise you to stay away from this cheap & dirty establishment. So so disappointed.

I had to leave my luggage at the lodge last month during the Packwood wildfire, as I was still in the NP when the evacuation occurred. As I was only in Washington for a short vacation, I was informed a week later that my luggage would be shipped to me on the lodge's expense when it's safe to return. The phonecall was followed by a month of radio silence - no one reached out to me regarding the status of my belongings, nor was I notified when the lodge resumed operation. I made several calls to the property and left emails asking for updates, but the staff either had no idea what was happening, or I didn't hear back at all - no call backs, no emails.I understand this is a special circumstance, but the lack of response at this point just shows the disregard the lodge has for its paying guests. I would NOT recommend staying here.
