Update: 5 months later bread is still not prepared in a timely manner and still no baskets just carts so if you are grabbing a few things and would normally require a basket you have to grab a cart. Shop any other safeway especially if you need fresh bread for dinner.No longer supplying baskets to their customers, and carts are rarely available for customers to use.fresh baked bread that is advertised as available daily is not available for sale Until during or after dinner time its rare if sold before 4pm. Why shop at a store when you can't even shop? If anyone wishes to make a corporate complaint Melissa Allen is a current director.

The meat dept has friendly helpful staff. They butcher goes out of his way to help and even shares recipes. The new young pnes in the dept are all doing a great job. I do miss Jenn.

Take your own hand cart if that's what you want to use because this store only has about 6 total and doesn't seem to have any of the smaller shopping carts either! But, if you're there for the pharmacy those people are amazing!! Seriously I can't say enough good things about that pharmacy and everyone working in it. ❤️

This crew that works here are the nicest customer service team you'll ever encounter, or maybe I just love my local Safeway 's either way. Door Dashing here is always 👌 and whenever you need extra help there's a team member to ask.

I feel so bad for the young girl employee working at the deli 5pm this date. It’s Monday cheap chicken she asked her co worker to drop chicken he legit said he had no time for that. Her face said it all. I had the same face he was very rude to respond to her this way. She apologized and told me it would be another 20 minute wait. I would have responded to her nicely and said how much time it would take instead of saying in front of your customers he had no time for that. When it’s Monday and you have many customers coming for the deal.

So I grew up with my mom always shopping there and I'm healthy. Safeway is Safeway. A bit more expensive on some stuff but a little better quality also. Walmart for some stuff, Safeway for the things you put in your body. Way better produce and meats. Way better.

Horrible service at the Starbucks. Drink made wrong, poor customer service. Felt like the employee was doing me a favor by making my drink. Hen she made it wrong-iced drink with no ice. When I asked for ice, she dumped out half the drink and added the ice at her then just starting over. So now I have a $7 drink with half of the espresso dumped out. Set the tone for my day.

My iPhone accidentally brought me to this Safeway instead of the nearest Bonney Lake location, but no regrets! Very friendly staff; every one of them! Though not a big place almost all the items we wanted were available! The highlight of this location is the 'China Express'! Very delicious food!

Always friendly staff and quick and easy service. Love this little town. I love the pharmacy too. I may wait a little bur they're always so sweet and super helpful. I'll wait in line any day for them vs going to another pharmacy

The first time I went into this Safeway my one year old and myself had to listen to the bag boy and cashier talk about the negative efffects of heroine. The last time I went into that store with my now 1 year old and 3 year old, we could have used some help from employees, instead as were doing self check out (because they only ever have one cashier on) I have to listen to a manager talk to another customer about a lady in the community who has failing marriage. Thankfully a another customer who was coming into the store graciously offered to help me by taking the cart back in for me. Thank you sir whoever you are. I would recommend never taking your kids here.

We do not shop here anymore, we go to shaw rd, they are always fully stocked, Orting Safeway is a hot mess. Whomever is doing the ordering for the store, don't seem to have a clue about supply and demand. Needs a good management shake up.

You could walk the entire foothills trail and back, finish off your smoked brisket, and still be waiting in line at this Pharmacy. My child had aged several years by the time we got to the counter. You wait so long in this line, they should be providing lounge chairs on a conveyor belt. I honestly feel bad for the elderly population of Orting that end up standing in this line.Jokes aside, this pharmacy is terrible. The line always spans an entire isle, they are difficult to work with at times, 50/50 chance you’ll get through on the phone. You can call for an hour and have no luck.You can wait 1.5 hours in line to get turned around in 15 seconds, and then spend another 1.5 hours in line after they say “I’ll update you in 6 minutes”.Stay far away from this place. Drive the 15 minutes north to the Safeway off Pioneer, or a different place all together. Our family visited this pharmacy for the last time, and will be taking our business to the Safeway just north of Orting.

I just moved to town recently, and I have to say, checking out is terrible at this location! There are usually only 2-3 registers open and no self check out. I spent twenty minutes in the store the other day, and I was only purchasing three items!I'm giving them two stars solely on the checkout time. Needs Improvement!!**Update**They now have self checkout. Wait time has dramatically decreased.

Staff is helpful and friendly. The buy one get one free sale on butcher meats is probably the best deal around for quality cuts. Produce always looks fresh. The public restroom is always in great shape.

Super selection of better than average products, especially in the bakery and produce areas. The meat prices and selection are pretty good too. You will pay more than at your discount supermarket... But their food club, which I find to be a nuisance where ever you find one, helps lower what you pay, a bit. Nice people there, and they don't herd you into those self checkout stations.

Bought 1gal Arrowhead 100% mountain springwater with the red label, made me sick, water didnt have a flavor, after getting sick and looking through the things i had consumed for the day, i noticed a slight foul odor coming from the jug. Check your water before drinking.

Well I hate to have to be the one to say this but the recent experience warrants it. So I walk in late and I notice some people in line and I knew one of them so I go shopping for about 15 minutes and I approach the line at checkout and I see that l'm going be there for a while because same people were still waiting. There was an older lady working the register apparently did not have the training that she should have had because she moved extraordinarily slow and kept having to have someone come and help her figure things out and person kept going outside or somewhere.I waited about ten minutes with more people behind me now and I was thinking my god I wonder how long those people have been waiting because it was still the same person still trying to pay as when I first walked in I finally made it out of there but the people ahead of me had been there atleast half an hour. This is the fault of managment by putting someone that they know cant properly do the job and especially the fault of whoever was supposed to be in charge because they knew damn well the checker was struggling with every customer and the person should have been right there at all times. The argument for that might be that she had her own duties to do but when you know the person checking flat out doesnt know what they are doing and you go wandering off it only the situation worse because now people have to wait for you to ccme back to overide the register. I would say that the lead that kept wandering away from the problem is responsible for about 40% of the wait time. She did come and help but walked away after each time. This whole thing falls on management not the person working the register because she was doing the same as anyone including myself would do if left to figure out the system on our own. Any reprimand needs to go toward the persons that were supposed to have trained the checker and approved her ready to go and the person who kept running away from the obvious problem she could have helped resolve had she been close by or in the store. If I were the checker I would have quit and walked out but she kept her cool and kept on going best she coul

Okay…this place is a -10! Been coming here for a year and the only reason why is my new insurance doesn’t accept Walgreens. I constantly have issues here, prescriptions take forever or something wrong happens. The staff…ugh….where do I begin? The older woman with the short hair is somewhat nice but so impersonal. Today for instance.. I walked up and said, Hi. How are you?” And her response was, “Date of birth?” No hi how are you?Don’t get me started with the younger short hair blonde. Beyond rude and never once smiles. Do I need to be rude back? I’m going to switch to Walmart and go out of my way because it’s so bad here. Avoid this place.

They seem to often be out of frozen items, especially in the dessert department. They could care less about enforcement of masks, had a man directly sneeze on the back of my neck standing in line one day so that was fun. Unfortunately it's the only place to shop in town unless I wish to drive to Bonney Lake.

Friendly employees. As one of the smaller Safeways, the quantities, selection and variety is more limited than larger stores. Check out lines can be long, depending on the time of day. If you are getting ice cream, I would recommend bringing a cooler with some ice packs to keep in your shopping cart.

I tried to purchase 3, 2 liter sodas for an .88 cent each deal (reg. 2.49) that I "clipped" from their app. But the deal didn't come up, so I asked if a manager could override the price since I showed them the deal. I was flat out told no because the deal was from their app. What is that! Anyway, I had him remove the items and left.

I shop here weekly for 'quick' and 'last-minute' items (veggies, alcohol, charcoal). It's your typical, run-of-the-mill grocery chain, but it has always been clean and tidy when I go in. Always plenty of parking. There can be peak times, where it seems that even the self-checkout takes 8 minutes... but, still I would recommend.
