Friendly staff, lovely units and plenty of beautiful camper and tent spots. Out of the way and off the beaten path, just the way I like it.Great fishing from the dock or by boat, (They have rentals), lots of trout and bass.It is really a must-go-to spot.

We just went here for 3 days with the family and stayed in the 3 bedroom cabin. The owners are very friendly and kind. We had a good time. Very beautiful and relaxing resort. Loved the lake and amazing scenery, so peaceful and quiet! Husband and kids loved the fishing, either off shore or on boat. Great for bass and trout. Would like to come back again.Nearby activities: Swimming, fishing, boating.

Loved this secluded lake resort. We camped 2 nights, so I can't say much about the rooms, but they look nice. Gorgeous views, friendly owners. Well maintained. Hot showers.Only issue was loud maintenance wake ups in the morning- loudest weed whacker I've ever heard, and we didn't love running through the sprinklers to use the only restroom. But I understand why these things are necessary. We hope to come back with our kids, kayaks, and fishing poles!

We have been coming to this resort as a family since I was four year old. This is the perfect place to get away from it all in a beautiful natural setting that is rustic, but not so rustic that you can't relax. The resort is now under new ownership and they've made many improvements while keeping the original charm, including AC in the cabins and upgraded appliances, which is a big plus when traveling with kids.Come to Wannacut Lake Resort if you want relaxation in nature, fishing, beautiful views on a crystal clear lake and under a big starry sky. If revving jet skis and roaring speed boats is more your speed, stay in Chelan.Rooms: Knotty pine cabins straight out of the 1950s but with upgraded amenities.

We used to RV there a lot. We heard it had changed hands, so we stopped in to see the changes. Some things are much better. The pool is filled in, and the restaurant is closed. The store is still there. It is like a 1950s resort and campground. I think we would go back again. Cabins are retro and being redone. They have boats to rent and hook-ups for RV and tent spots.Rooms: Older log cabin style with full kitchenets, bathrooms, and new mattresses.Nearby activities: Hiking, boating fishing, exploring the area, and visiting Canada, wine, fruits.

We just spent a long weekend at Wannacut Lake. We have been coming to the lake for over 20 years. We could not be more pleased with the new ownership; they have undertaken a huge project with the renovation of the cabins and surrounding property. While work is still underway, the parts that are finished are super nice and they are keeping the feel of the original resort in mind as they renovate. The owners are great to work with, very friendly and go out of their way to make sure their guests have a great stay. The cabins are clean, the lake is beautiful and we enjoyed renting the fishing boats for some spectacular fishing on the lake. We will definitely be back!

We had a great 5 day trip to Lake Wannacut this week. The lake is beautiful and very warm. I enjoyed the resort’s kayaks and paddle boards multiple times a day. The area in front of the resort was perfect for swimming, jumping off the docks, and floating around all afternoon. There is a beautiful newly constructed patio area with great seating to enjoy the view and relax. We stayed in one of the cabins which was well equipped with everything I needed to cook. Plenty of space for two adults and a dog. The new owners are putting a lot of heart into making sure guests have everything they need and they are working endlessly to update and improve the entire resort. I hope to return soon.

Been coming here nearly every summer since the 70's and have seen it in varied forms of repair or improvement. Just returned from this summers stay and given the fact that the owners were still neck-deep in repairs and improvements (no store, no restaurant, no pool) we still managed to make this trip one of our more memorable ones. The new owners are exceptionally nice, accommodating and went out of their way to make sure our stay was a good one. Wannacut Lake is a hidden gem and the new owners are finally putting money back into the place with long overdue repairs and improvements; we couldn't fault them for the pool being closed or the store/restaurant being under construction (it gives us something to look forward to next year.) This place is magical to us - and still is. Hats off to the new owners for reviving this fantastic old resort and saving it from the chopping block. Personally, I recommend it to all my friends and family looking for a vacation spot that is relaxing, peaceful, and exceptionally beautiful. Can't wait to return next year to see how much it's improved. Highly recommended. Love it here!

Such a wonderful place. Our first time here, but we came with my sister who's been coming for many years. Loved the changes the new owners are making. Fishing was fantastic! Boats to rent as well. The camping areas have big shade trees and the cabins have picnic areas and beautiful views of the lake. The bats keep the mosquitoes away, between the 5 of us not one bite!! Can't wait to come back......

Spent an awesome week fishing with my boys. The rainbow trout we caught was 21 inches 4 1/2 lb. If you're looking to catch a lot of bass this lake will not let you down. The new owners of wannacut Lake Resort are doing an incredible job at bringing this Resort back to what I remember when I grew up out here. My kids will be the third generation to enjoy this lake. This is just a great place to come relax and enjoy the scenery.

Responding to Forest Trees: I had no issues getting hold of the new owners and making an RV site reservation. The amount of work the new owners have put into the resort is incredible. The new WiFi works great. The deck area has been totally redone as well as the area outside the back door of the cabins. The cabins have new appliances. Fishing was excellent with many guests catching 2+lb trout. We spent 3 nights there in June, just before the big heat wave. I was also happy to see they had trimmed the low hanging branches on the trees on the road in so tall RVs won't catch them and get scratched.

Pet friendly rooms available, I didn't see dog poop anywhere as leashes are required :)Under new management and massive remodel! Water access, fishing, swimming, all on a sleepy lake. Cabins, hotel style rooms, tent, and RV availability. Kayaks and other watercraft available for rent if you didn't bring your own.Quite the mix of 60's classic pine log rooms and updated accommodations within.Excited for the upcoming a/c, espresso, and other amenities!Expect to see deer, quail, turtles, osprey, and other wild natives of the area.

Outdated, beat up and worn out! In need of new owners and someone to spend a ton of cash to get this caught up and top notch. Fishing was good campgrounds were a joke and poor electrical 20 amp that was fuse and circuit breaker . Bees were really bad and bee traps were full and overwhelming full. Rental boats were dirty, Cobb webs and bad oars that were split. Flotation devices were in poor shape. The store was depleted and the restaurant looked worn out. We were here 35 years ago and it was first class. I may fish at the lake again but I will an anxiously awaiting new owners and hope someone turns this around. It was a ghost town the weekend we were there, Friday through Sunday 5-6 guests only during the whole time and maybe 4-5 tenting .Don’t waste the long drive there or even consider staying!

Not many places like this left. Take a trip back in time to clean and well maintained cabins. Nice views, good fishing, great hosts and guaranteed fun for the kids. This place is unique! We've been coming here for nearly 20 years.

Great place to stay. We definitely had the best campsite up on the hill without anyone on top of us overlooking the beautiful lake. The owners are very nice

Been coming here for 15 years, was extremely excited to see it continuing under new ownership, however, was extremely disappointed in said new ownership. They don’t have any prices on their website, and if you try to book a stay or ask inquiries they will not respond to you (or will respond but won’t answer any question including their pricing). I’d love to make a great review but I can’t do that if I can’t even book a reservation. 1 star.

Sites not leveled, hard to get too, we really had to stick arround for getting the owners attention to get a site... this place has potentiel but needs lots of work. Probably a great place 30 years ago!
