By far one of the best indoor plant selections in the area! I have been here on numerous occasions and have only had wonderful and helpful interactions with the staff. Not only is it a great place to find healthy new plants to add to my jungle collection, but my dog also enjoys being able to walk around the shop and interact with both the staff and other patrons who stop to say hello. This is definitely worth a visit!

Bark & Garden has infected hostas and has for a couple of years now. I've pointed out to them that some of their plants have hosta virus X, an incurable virus that not only destroys the infected hosta but can spread through the soil and infected tools. When I brought an infected plant up front to show them, I literally heard staff talking on walkies later saying to put it back out. Not a good look for an otherwise great local nursery.

Peaceful, lots of options, great helpful service. Only 4 star because it is a bit more spendy than other places.

Sold me 2 bags of bug-infested soil and then refused to give my money back or let me check to make sure new exchange bags of soil weren't infested before purchasing, all because I didn't have the original receipt (the bags of soil still had their personalized price tags on them and I used a card, so it was definitely a traceable purchase). Bad business practices if you ask me, especially for a place that specializes in selling soil. I will not be spending another dime of my money here ever again!

Very poor customer service. I called for some help identifying some plants that were unknown to me in my garden and both the staff member and the manager were rude. She hung up the phone very quickly and had a very condescending tone. They may have great plants there, but my experience with the employees was very poor.

Prices a little higher than say Bi-mart or Walmart but a much better selection. However, I went in to find frilly pansies and they were sold out. I did find a couple plants for what I thought was .40 but they were 40% off 4.99. Well they were pansies so I bought them any way. Don't get caught like I did. Lol. I only wanted 1 plant since my garden is in and doing well, but I spent 44.00.

This place used to be my favorite nursery to shop at. The new employees are not helpful and argumenative. While trying to buy potting soil I was repeatedly told my choice was wrong. I finally just said. Could you just ring it up. It's what I want. It was rang up but I was given the cold shoulder through out the process and glared at by the clerk. Had it been the first time I shopped here my rating woukd have been a 1.Train your employees for good customer service. It will pay off.

Absolutely will NEVER buy from BARK & GARDEN ever again!Spent about $500 worth of Dogwood Satomi (Pink leaves) trees. My gardener tested the PH in my soil and said it was perfect for Dogwood Satomi trees. All trees purchased were labeled "Satomi", i.e. PINK.After about 18 months, the leaves were only white with a tinge of pink on the edges. After several messages left with different employees, NO calls back. When I asked for the owners name, they refused to tell me ... That was the first sign that something was definitely wrong with B&G! I drove down from Lakewood on 2 separate occasions, about 30 mins, to talk to the employees about the white color and not PINK as purchased. I told them it must have been mislabeled and wanted to exchange for the PINK Satomi trees that I rightfully purchased with receipt and tree tags. That's when the accusations started ... I must not have been watering enough, my PH balance wasn't correct, I didn't plant them correctly, it was all my fault because of something I did, etc. Even though I told the Older female Employee everything was done correctly and tested by my gardener, Then, I was told I needed to purchase, from B&G, different "organic" fertilizer, even though I told them I used fertilizer specifically for dogwoods. Then the older female Employee started yelling at me near the cash registers because she didn't like the truth I was telling her. I caught her in several lies. This employee was argumentative, rude, falsely accusing me when all I wanted was help to get the PINK Satomi trees that I paid for in the first place. There is NO guarantee you are getting what you pay for or any exchanges. And don't expect any help from the employees nor the owner at Bark & Garden!I will never return to B&G ever again!

The employees are always knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. In addition, it's a great place to peruse for ideas for your yard and garden. They also have great gift ideas. I love to walk the plantings and walkways at their entry as well. So peaceful.

Friendly, helpful and professional staff. My first time shopping here and I know I'll become a regular patron. Overall, very pleasant experience. Based on staff recommendation i purchased six Clematis vine plants for along my privacy fence.

This place is not just a plant store, it’s an experience. I have literally taken friends from out of town just to see it and we always end up leaving with something beautiful. The selection is massive, and the plants are fresh, well maintained, and affordable. They get busy when the sun decides to come out in the Great North West, but they try really hard to take care of the customers' needs. I brought in this picture of the plant I was looking for and they had it. I’m a happy customer. Highly recommend!

Really great place to shop for plants and garden needs. Have a wide variety of indoor and outdoor plants. Plants come in different stages from nursery plants to grown ones. Really enjoyed buying my starter plants

BUYERS BE WARE: They don't give refunds! Even though they are overpriced, I support local businesses as much as possible. However, I also believe in justice and fairness for both the consumers and the suppliers. I purchased just over $200 worth of flowers, fertilizer, and pruning shears/saws on Sunday Mar 27, 2022 and paid CASH. I kept my receipt (thankfully) and when I got home I realized I already had another pair of new pruning shears. I returned to the store within an hour and spoke with the manager; Leslie (because none of the cashiers were trained to do refunds!) and Leslie told me they don't give refunds! She said the ONLY options available to me is a store credit or an exchange! I looked on the back of my receipt and it was blank. She pointed to signs mounted high but I stated no where on the signs does it clearly state there will be no REFUNDS (cash or otherwise). See pictures for yourselves. The manager was rude and short earlier that day when I had asked for help with fertilizing and pruning my cherry tree. But her being adamant about not giving refunds was ridiculous. After she saw me take photographs, she texted the owner who then accepted to give me a CASH refund on my return.Their tiny writing on their big sign titled "Research & inspect all items prior to purchasing" doesn't specify their "REFUND POLICY", but it says the following in small writing:"HARD GOODS: may be returned within 15 days of purchase, or exchanged for product or store credit within 30 days of purchase. Must be un-opened". Nowhere on any of their signs does it specifically state "they don't give refunds, cash or debit or even in a check"! Even though they gladly will take CASH or DEBIT. I will file a complaint with as many agencies as I can research to warn consumers of the unfair advantage afforded to Bark & Garden for not fully and clearly disclosing their REFUND Policy!

Great selection, but I see better prices at other garden stores. It’s bittersweet.

I absolutely love this place. It's so organized and has so much to choose from. The only problem for us is everytime we needed help, there wasn't anyone available.

Poor and Rude Customer Service!!! Support regarding purchases is disappointing. Because of this and my subsequent look at others' reviews, I will not give them my business in the future (Apparently, this has happened to others).A few weeks ago, I bought over $400 worth of clumping bamboo plants from B&G. Two out of the six plants are starting to look unhealthy. I took photos of these along with a photo of one of the healthy-looking bamboo plants and went to Bark and Garden today to show these to staff and ask for help/questions. A cashier called a manager to the checkout area telling her a customer had questions about bamboo. (I was the only one in the area/I didn't see any other customers at the time she was asked to help me). I showed the manager the photos to get her input. In the meantime, another customer had walked up behind me. The manager answered my first question but then immediately turned her attention the other customer. When I said I had another question, she became impatient and rude. I managed to ask my second question but due to frustration at her short attitude, I forgot my third question. I left the building and about five minutes later remembered what it was and returned to ask the cashier for more help. She again called the manager and asked her where she was in the store (so I could go talk to her). I heard the manager on the phone rudely reply, "I'm with a customer. She'll just have to hang out there). She sounded unhappy and did not give a time frame in which I must wait, etc. I told the cashier that due to her attitude, I was leaving.I am absolutely unhappy that, after the amount of money I spent, I received the treatment I received.

BUYERS BEWARE. Bring cash DO NOT USE CARD. Their card machine rebooted during my transaction (apparently this happens a lot), I immediately checked my bank before even leaving the store to find that my card was triple charged, they refused to refund me even though I showed them the statement, stating “nothing shows on our end, this happens sometimes just wait for it to go back into your account” Which it never did! Currently my bank is disputing this.Although they have a great selection here their staff is rude including the manager Leslie, they need to fix they’re card machine because my 54 dollar order easily became 162 without a care in the world to them!!!

I've been to this place three times.First time I bought out door plants and it was decent, good selection, prices not too high, but higher than some places.Second time I bought I think 6 houseplants which their prices are quite high on majority of them, you got to look around for the hidden gems. Out of those 6, 2 are alive about 2 months later. 3 of them busted out in spider mites and one rotten inside out all within a week of purchase. Which they give you a slip of paper stating no returns, refunds, etc which I thought was sketchy but okay that's their policy life goes on. You might be thinking well maybe I just don't know how to care for houseplants, I have over 150 different varieties and large majority are happy and healthy, this was also while they were quarantined from my others (I quarantine new plants for a couple weeks and treat them before adding them to my collection to prevent the spread of illness/pests).I thought maybe that was just bad luck so I gave them another try and went a couple days ago. I bought about 5 this time and I really shouldn't have because the condition they had their plants when I was there was doors wide open in 90⁰ weather blowing the hot outside air in, which house plants usually don't like above 80⁰, so these plants are sweltering in the heat and me being the person I am: "I can treat them right and bring them back from the stress" decided to buy anyway. The most expensive one in a 10" pot had a terrible centipede infestation, like at least a few dozen. Feeling it's bulb and it's feeling like it might rot within the week, crossing my fingers it doesn't, colocasias are resilient. The other ones are doing okay so far but definitely stressed from the heat and one is in really rough condition just from how they treated it but it's a cool one I haven't seen so hoping it makes it.TLDR I recommend only buying outdoor plants here, indoor aren't treated right. If you are willing to take the risk with indoor, don't spend too much and treat with pesticides.

Great place to shop if money is no object and you don’t mind wasting it. Small camellia plant is $60 here. Home Depot sells similar camellias for about $30. Costco was selling a larger mid size camellia for $32. You should shop somewhere else and make this place be competitive/reasonable with their pricing.

I called yesterdayinquiring about artichoke plants. They looked and stated they had two left. I said I was 5 minutes out and ask them to hold them for me. I was told they could not hold them. I arrived and got the two left. Both in 4 inch pots and both identical . I left and got home and noticed that they charged me $3,.99 for 1and 7.99 for the other. I called today and was told it's because they buy from different buyers. That's quite a price difference for identical plants. She spoke to the manager and was told there was nothing they could do for me. Please check your reciepts before leaving. Not very honorable. Ironically, while I was paying for them there was a lady there picking up a tree they were holding for her.
