Our first visit. Lovely and vibrant place, bit busy but not crowded. Peninsula residents are fortunate to have this interesting and well kept place. Believe we met the humble owner / author, he came out on the covered porch to provide blankets on a December day (they also had a space heater operating). At mid-day we chose to have beers (good selection), wine, and pretzels (very good, wee bit small, but gives more room for beer). Wish they started the pizza at lunchtime (starts at 3:00 I think), well that’s a great reason to come back. Nice free museum room, and nice store. The pleasant young woman at the cash register was so adept at handling many visitors with all manner of questions, and quick to let us sample a few beers etc. Wish the owning family many great and prosperous years, we’ll be back!

Stopped by on a Monday but they were closed. Check hours before going! I found a blasting cap at the beach so be careful of what your kids are picking up and playing with as there could be more. Call the police if you find one and do not touch it.

Excellent place for wine and beer. Staff are very professional, fast, and friendly. The charcuterie board rivals the best that you can find anywhere. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!Bring a jacket if you get cold easy. There are pedestal heaters if you don't mind huddling under them when you get the chills. The views are amazing and if you bring a swimsuit you can get in a swim. That water is clear here albeit on the cooler side of things. There's also a museum and private event space that you should check out before the end of your visit.Thank you Greg. You're a fantastic host and we will make our best effort to help you place become successful!

Beautiful place with great pizza! Wish they had a few more flavor options and it can be a bit tricky to find seating especially if you have more than 2 people in your party. Staff is friendly and place is clean

What a nice place to enjoy a sandwich outside by the water. My wife had the Italian sandwich & I had the chicken salad. When they came my wife said, "Oh my, we could have shared."Both were delicious. It's not a big place, so I can imagine there not being open tables.

Nice little spot for brews and bites. Great water views, beach access, and away from the hustle & bustle. Incredible view of Rainier on a clear day. Parking can be tricky on weekends.Olympic Otter

The market has a little of everything. Prices are decent also. There's both indoor and outdoor seating.

This little gem of a place is located right on the water. The very BEST charcuterie plate around! Pretzel was right out of the oven with yummy warm cheese to dip it in. Tonight was pizza by the slice and we added a couple glasses of red wine. Left happy, relaxed, full and with a signed copy of the Owners book. Love this place ♡

Delicious sourdough pizza at $5 a slice. We'll be back. The view of Mount Rainier is insane. Try the lavender Italian soda...it's so good! And caprese salad was so fresh and delicious.

Lovely little spot to come and eat breakfast or lunch, watch the water and wildlife, and just chill. Great service, great food!

Its a bar not a market. Overpriced. Miss the old "Market" when they actually sold more than booze. There's 2 isles of candy though 🤦🏼‍♂️Maybe 2 doors of other drinks. Hopefully I'll be able to use the boat launch this summer.

Al's is gone, but the floating docks appear to have been abandoned in Olalla bay. It might be nice of the new owners to remove if they're not wanted. The Olalla bay boat launch is not a parking lot for the business, please keep this in mind when blocking boating access. The market is not in a good place for more than a few vehicles at a time.

The food is EXTREMELY overpriced. Unless you like $5 for a slice of awful "sourdough" pizza, or an expensive tray of grapes and almonds, DO NOT GO HERE. It's a bar. Not a market, not a "community space". A bar. This entire place is a disgrace to what they call a "community center". If you aren't a wealthy white man, stay away.As a long time member of the Olalla community, I had high hopes. But the family that bought and created this place, built it around discrimination and controlling the wonderful members of our community.Also. They CONSTANTLY exceed occupancy limits, and they sell LOTS of stuff without proper licensing, like yhe copyright infringement tumblers and the spur dough that some lady makes and sells here.

Nice location on the beach. Servers were friendly but service was a bit slow.Seemed to be a lot of drinking and foul language. My second trip to this place. Maybe the crowd is different in the evening, our first visit was during the day and was much more pleasant.

Awesome pizza and eclectic vibes in this one of a kind spot. Literally it’s only downfall is it’s extreme popularity!Around dinner time on a nice day it’s best to assume you’re grabbing to go or eating inside. The outdoor patio is amazing and all of Kitsap/Pierce counties know it!

Super cute shop- I can’t speak for the food yet, but it’s a great place to hang out and have a drink! The chai mead was delicious, and the outdoor heaters made sitting outside comfortable.

Enjoy the local history at the walk in museum then grab a coffee drink/beer/wine and sit at a table inside or their large deck area, partially covered at water's edge. Local gifts, snack foods, and drinks in grocery area, but they also serve soft ice cream, pizza, good sized salads and I've been told, sandwiches but didn't see a menu. Very relaxing and what this area needs to support.

My wife and I drove here to try the pizza which, unfortunately, would not be served for another couple of hours. But it wasn't a wasted trip because before that we checked out exhibit (verging on shrine) to medical quack/swindler/mass murderer Linda Laura Hazzard and her "Starvation Heights sanitarium. The owner of the new Olalla Bay Market, Gregg Olson, wrote a book about the whole thing. He's compiled an extensive collection of photos, actual furnishings, and much more in a room in a building off to the side of the market. I won't go into the story but it was truly fascinating to see and read all of it. The building also contains a room for special events and/or community meetings and offers a beautiful view of Colvos Passage. What gives it an extra local relevance is that the one of the roads you take to the market passes by the site of the burnt ruins of the sanitarium. You can't see anything because it's fenced off and back behind groups of trees. And it's on private property anyway. We also found out that pizza is only served by the $5 slice, which can get pricey real fast. We'd been planning to order a whole pizza and enjoy it outside on the shaded deck. Oh well, not to be. Too bad about the pizza but we loved the exhibit.

Makes me happy local businesses supporting other local businesses!!! I loved seeing my favorite pickles there... found Nudeveg and Purdy's both there.

The renovations look great and the Olalla history display is fascinating, including Starvation Heights features. Not impressed with the seating area - not wheelchair or stroller friendly with the tight table configuration. The soft pretzels, which were literally the frozen boxed pretzels you can buy in bulk stores, were a let-down. We had anticipated they would have been something special like their sourdough pizza crust.I highly recommend they make a larger menu board and a couple laminated menus in the future (my husband is legally blind and couldn't read anything on the board behind the counter, and there were no print copies which he could have read himself).

OBM is providing exactly the right atmosphere Colvos passage needs! Community, great drinks, amazing musicians, and friendly service! Expanded hours for food would be nice if they can get to that point. Thank you OBM team!
