Please note that if I had known my husband was asked to not touch the cards, I would have left immediately. We are late 50's, retired and not hurting for cash but he felt totally disrespected. He told me that I could meet him at the tavern next door. I purchased almost $100 in gifts and I would never have done that had I known about the rude treatment. It is great to help your customers but how much money do you loose by watching everything they do, chastise them and expect they will open their wallet....I will never be a repeat customer and clearly you don't care. So sad that you see Everyone as a thief or someone who is out to diminish your profit. I wish I could give you zero stars for that. You have one standing at the register watching everything, one on the floor helping and one at the cash register. It breeds distrust not the feeling it has on your customers especially when you don't want them to touch the cards! How do you buy a card without touching?

Even though I still purchased I almost didn't. We were approached and asked if she could hold my stuff at the counter. This threw me off but as I analyzed after this..I was standing by the door. ( They assumed i was stealing) i was browsing and talking with my fiance. It was his birthday weekend. I was debating on a couple more things too. But after realizing. I put one item back and checked out the couple items I had. If I had a couple more minutes, they would have sold a couple more things. I get it to a point. But we weren't the only ones in there either.

New owners are rude and hostile. I was in the car with my sleeping baby while my wife was in shopping. She was taking pictures and texting me my opinions on what to purchase. Apparently the people working there thought she was up to something shady and started taking her picture. When confronted they had no explanation for their behavior other than “well you didn’t buy any of the soaps”. Used to shop there quite often but will not be going back again.

My wife and I wanted to do some shopping for her birthday this coming Tuesday, May 23 flying cats is closed Tuesday and Wednesday so we wanted to do some shopping for my wife’s birthday today Monday, I called before noon and spoke to you a couple of very immature girls, but do not understand phone etiquette whatsoever and verge on rude, and they told me their bosses stepped out for a few minutes, so I needed to call back, when I called back at about 1 PM and I spoke to the manager Melanie I was told that they were closing at 2 PM today because her and her husband had a meeting in town, which is kind of surprising because they close at 5 PM and they are closed Tuesday and Wednesday the following days, Melanie told me they would stay until 3 PM to accommodate us, and when I spoke to her, she seemed very suspicious when I asked if the owners were available, we will not be doing any shopping at the flying cats gift shop as we are not approve of this type of behavior, we are local live here and expect a little better service than that I have been told they have new owners and I recommend to avoid the place which is unfortunate because I was really looking forward to shopping there

Absolutely awesome place to visit! Even if your just window shopping (like I was) or have $ to spend, theres something for everyone here. From Steampunk inspired one of a kind artwork to handmade soaps that smell good enough to eat, to gorgeous salt and pepper mills with a lifetime warranty! And yes there is Cat Stuff too. But oh so much more! Make this your go to gift shop when you visit or live in Ocean Shores! Shout out to the owners of the shop who were a delight to talk too. ☺

A little on the pricey side, but lots of very cool stuff, both edible and otherwise. The shop keepers are very friendly and it's worth a visit if you're ever near Ocean Shores.

I make a point of stopping at Flying Cats every time I come to Ocean Shores. There's always something new and fun to check out. The quality of the items they carry is high and the quality of their service is as well.

Over priced lame merchandise. Took out my phone to snap a pic to send to my husband of something I thought his mother may like. You know to see if he wanted me to pick it up as a gift.....but was yelled at and given a dissertation on copyright. Then she proceeds to over sell her lame kitchen products. Well, looked up the gift online and as I suspected I can buy it on Amazon. I would have been happy to pay a little more for it and support a local business but due to the demeanour of the owner/employee I'll be buying it online.

My wife and I always make a point to go to Flying Cats. We love the jewelry (great buyers!), fun kitchen things, teas and beautiful handmade soaps you cut yourself. We even came home with a beautiful "Seahawks" colored shawl last year.

We visited this shoppe Memorial weekend, first time; I'm impressed with the variety, and the prices of those items I looked at were surprisingly acceptable - especially for a tourist town. We will shop there again next year.
