Great sandwiches w nice staff but this cafe w great location, needs to take it up a notch. Coffee bar is sad w powdered creamer, no stirrer sticks and so so coffee. Decor is very 80s and bathroom could use some sprucing up. These are not expensive updates and sweet lady working behind counter could benefit from a bit of help.

We grabbed a couple of club sandwiches to-go this last weekend to take to the beach and we were blown away. The sandwiches are huge, big enough to share, and the service was very kind and friendly. We want to come back and have the burger one of these days.

This maybe the best sandwich place ever. Freshest of ingredients, completely packed - more than a typical sandwich. Then add the owner who's personable and cares that she made you exceptional food.Whenever on the Long Beach Peninsula, Great Day Cafe is a must!!!

Excellent menu! Fresh ingredients! The proprietor/chef is wonderful! Today, I had the Oriental Chicken Salad. WHAT A TREAT. Best salad ever! I’m working my way through the menu. In-between each new choice I will have my fave sandwich; THE RUEBEN! You cannot go wrong here, just GO and try it, no disappointments here!

Great Day Cafe in Ocean Park was a great place to have a most enjoyable lunch! Yummy food and the friendly owner and chef made us feel right at home. We can hardly wait to go back. Steve's clam chowder is the BEST! And I've never had a BLT that also included 2 kinds of cheese. Biting into the grilled sour dough was quite a taste treat. Go any time you have the opportunity! You'll be glad you did!

Hands down some of the BEST food around. Lori is the owner, cook (chef) and a very nice person! The sandwiches are large and tasty, the soup fresh and hot, and the pastries? her specialty!

Recently Revisited, new owners with a great menu idea nice to go dinners for a very reasonable price. We had to London Broil for $12 and included a salad vegetables dessert and roll. It was very yummy she has specials like this regularly. We live close by and we'll be back.

Lori makes the best sandwiches and goodies on the Long Beach Peninsula peninsula hands down. And you can even watch the golfers at Surfside Golf Course while you eat. So accommodating you get the food the way you like it!

Small Cafe inside the Surfside Golf Club pro shop. Food is excellent as is the friendly service. You don't need to be a golfer to come in and enjoy the food. Try it, you'll like it!

Lori makes the best cheeseburger! I gotta have one at least once a week. Also an excellent Pastrami Reuben. And great desserts.

Came in to grab some sandwiches to go. The man over seeing the golf desk wasn't wearing a mask when we entered and neither was the cook! Walked out right away. Probably already great place pre/ post covid but not keeping the community safe right now.

When I go to longbeach, I stay at Surfside. This little restaurant has the best sandwiches. The baked cookies are wonderful!

Someone needs to update the info on this place. Heard & read good things about this place, but showed up at 9AM to try breakfast and it wasn't open. No hours of operation were visible. Also the menu posted on the door shows only lunch type food.
