People are friendly and helpful. Deli was stocked at 9am, and do was bakery. Flowers were lovely and your could get a vase for what ever the ocation.

The way they run their deli is unacceptable. They are consistently out of chicken, a la carte items; they under-utilize their fryers and ovens. Expect a wait and then for them to run out of items they did have while you're waiting for items you ordered to cook.

I ordered a birthday cake that was to be ready at 9am. It WAS ready but I was not able to pick it up until 2pm and when I got there to pick it up, it had been sitting out on the counter all day. When I got home and looked at it, half of the top of the cake had slipped off and was all over the inside of the box. The cake was SO dry. I literally almost choked on a piece of it. The “frosting” was so oily. It was awful. It was ugly. It was disgusting. I am so disappointed in the way they made this cake. I think Helen Keller could have made a better cake. I will never order another cake from here again. The ONLY thing I liked about the cake was the color of the writing.

If they really wanted people to use their own bags and avoid plastic, they wouldn’t fill the entire bagging area in the self checkout kiosks with their plastic bag racks which are not movable. But no, either pay 8¢ for each plastic bag or deal with the complete lack of room.

Upper management is disorganized and only gets worse by the day. Worked there for over two years and favoritism, unethical decisions, and human rights are heavily disrespected. Do not work here if you plan on a genuine career. The store manager is a joke and a liar.

It is infuriating that i have to consistantly go to a different grocery store because this location is out of stock on so many items. Every time i tell myself they will have it next and never do. Who ever is in charge of keeping up with stock needs to consider a carrer change.

I was at Safeway in Oak Harbor today and having difficulty finding a special kind of toothpick. I asked Trinity in the flower department for help and she immediately stopped what she was doing and took me to 3 or 4 locations in the store until we finally found it. She was friendly, cheerful, and you could see that she genuinely enjoyed helping. Outstanding customer service like this is hard to find. Thank you so much Trinity, you rock!

We asked for a cake with my name on it, my name is Bailey but I’m a guy and we specifically requested blue/it’s for a boy and the worker put on pink icing on “purpose cause it was funny” that’s a direct quote from the cake maker, while I don’t care about the color I thought Id just warn anyone that the workers may make a completely different cake cause they think it’s funny vs the one you paid for.

Love my local Safeway! They usually have great deals & I save quite a bit of money every time I shop. Produce is always fresh & their bakery is the best. I will not buy meat anywhere else. Plus, the rewards earned are great for getting a cheaper price on gasoline. Up to a dollar off per gallon!

Their variety is usually good, not always. Prices are way better than Haggans! Safeway is always so busy and don't shop in the evening. They do NOT stock anything during the day! Which I find kinda cheap, like what Walmart does. I wish the world was like it was before everyone got so greedy, wanting more $$$ for doing so much less!

Only given the store 4 stars because they are consistently out of a lot of products can be very busy during the day limited parking during this is a coastal community lots of seagulls pooping everywhere really annoying the good news is that stuff is really nice and trying really hard to help you find what you need when you don't know where things are overall produce section is pretty nice when in oak harbor Washington you don't have a lot of choices Safeway' is usually my first choice

Everything about this store is great BESIDES the customer Fed-Ex drop off/pick-up. Had 4 packages say they got dropped off, regardless of USPS or not. Got told one got returned and no new shipping information shows a month later.. 3 packages just disappeared ...

Bakery didn't follow directions or call for clarification. Got the cake home and found it was lacking a simple picture request I had put in online. Now I get to try and decorate my kid's cake on my own an hour before the party. Yay! >:(

Safeway has been in town in one place or another for at least 50 years or more.They’re my go to grocery location, but don’t have a few versions of things that I have to go elsewhere for hence the missing star.I do miss the Chinese food they used to have at their old location.

The store clean and staff is always trying to keep up with demand. BUT the store should be bigger and it should have a larger storage area in back. Too often the shelves aren't stocked with the special priced items on sale. It makes it really difficult to shop! Staff is helpful, but they can't make items appear when they are out of stock. I would appreciate if staff wore masks properly. Too many don't.

Open until 1am, which is better than anything we have on the South end of the island. Great produce section and they have a decently-sized section of weird, different fruits you don't normally see in the big name grocery stores. Huge parking lot, conveniently located right next to Walmarts huge parking lot!Make sure to get Safeway app for coupons and deals!

Safeway always has whatever i need when i look for fruit or snacks. However literally everyone in the town of oak harbor feel its best to shop at 5 pm making it extremely overcrowded.

Inventory, inventory, inventory. Is it possible to stock shelves before opening doors in the morning? This is my go to store and it usually has everything I need. One item I use a lot has been out of stock forever and that’s distilled water. The staff is helpful and the people in customer service are a pleasure to deal with.

Friendly staff, good location next to Walmart so you can easily get everything you need the only downside is the store is always busy, never seems to slow down. So the inventory takes a hit a lot.

Great staff! I realized I forgot my groceries at self checkout when I got home. I had my tired baby with me, and I am pregnant and barely able to move without gagging, so I called asking if it was possible for someone to bring it out to me in the parking lot. Not only did he bring it out to me, but he also thanked me for asking for help. He was AWESOME!!! I'll get his name next time I'm there for credit.
