Today was the last straw! After approximately 3 and 1/2 years using this pharmacy, my experience has prompted me to go elsewhere ASAP.I called in a refill last weekend and was told it would be ready by “Wed after 2pm”. Wednesday came and went with no word on my needed refill. I did receive a text from the pharmacy about another Rx that was ready for pickup, however, something I was not out of yet, an automatic refill.So I called the pharmacy number and listened to the recorded line to hear the status of my prescription where I learned my Rx was “on order and would be ready for pickup on Monday after 2pm”, 3 days AFTER I would run out of said NEEDED Rx.Attempting to speak with a pharmacy member on the phone line proved impossible as the system is a veritable endless loop of futility and kept ending with a rude repeated recording of “there is no operator on duty.” So I hung up and called the store’s customer service number instead, finally getting transferred to the pharmacy by asking a human to do it for me.I spoke to Elinor in the Pharmacy about my prescription problem and she went to check on it. Lo and God Behold! My Rx had indeed already been ordered and was “on the shelf”, she said. I could come and get it. (Never mind the one hour drive there and one hour drive home again.) Almost as soon as I hung up, I received a text from Safeway saying that my refill was ready for pickup. (Was it ready all along?)So….why was my Rx not filled and a text sent to me when the prescription arrived when ordered? Why did it take my own detective work to track down my prescription? I wanted to know, of course. So I asked when I arrived to pick it up.The pharmacist told me to call Safeway Customer Service and ask them. I was handed a tiny piece of paper with the Safeway Customer Service phone number. He said there was nothing he could do and that it was MY responsibility to fix it. …… Really? So I called and I filed a formal complaint and am awaiting their return call within 24-48 hours. Updates to follow.

This pharmacy is incredibly slow, and I’m not talking about just refilling prescriptions. I can understand the filling process taking some time due to how small they are and the demand. But the line inside, be prepared to be waiting at least 45 minutes too an hour. They also don’t really have any customer service when it comes to any issues with filling prescriptions. It takes two days for them to fill so you wait two days and hear nothing. You have to call them to see what’s going on, by then it’s too late to stay up on you medication. My particular medication can’t be filled by law until I only have two left to begin with. This time they don’t have any of it in stock and haven’t for a while and they don’t know when they will get any back in. Instead of calling me to inform me of this, I was left to wait and wait till I called them to figure out what was going on. Now it’s the weekend and the doctors office is closed and I can’t get another prescription sent somewhere else until Monday. You also have to call them and make sure they fill a prescription if it’s sent to them early. But yet they can keep filling a prescription that you have asked them to stop filling and even take off your profile several times.

Ever since they changed everything to the app they shut off auto refill and it hard for me to understand the app on my meds.

I have always used this Pharmacy despite other options in surrounding towns due to 1. Convenience 2. Great customer service. But this has since changed in recent months and especially after 8-29-21 when their electronic system went down. They refused to give me a prescription that said it was ready for pick up the Thursday prior to that Sunday. This is a life or death medication, and the staff member was horribly rude about it. Thankfully I was able to have my doctor re-issue it to another facility. Fast forward to several days later I had another medication ready for pick up (had confirmation again) and was told it'd be another 2-4 hours. Not everyone has transportation into town to just wait around for extended periods of time hence why I only go in when it's ready. Again I was treated horribly.To top it off I always see multiple staff members improperly wearing their masks and have been since day 1 specially the young female pharmacist with blondish hair and glasses. Always has her nose peaking from her mask even when speaking with patients. Overall I will not be returning over the recent issues. Pharmacies have (or at least should have) procedures in place to handle technical issues during such outages especially in regards to medications that are needed urgently.

By far the worst customer service I have ever seen not to mention the incompetence of the pharmacist and all the employees that work there. I pity the people with life threatening illnesses that have probably not been able to get prescription thing need to stay alive. I have waited a minimum of 5 days and up to 8 days for a prescription called in from my doctor after multiple surgeries. I don't know how these people are still in business after making their customers suffer in pain the way that they do these prescription should take no more than a couple hours not a full week. Today I thought I would try hand deliver a written prescription to see if that made a difference and what happened was even worse, they lost my paperwork ....unbelievable!

Not about to go out of their way to be helpful. I keep getting told to do one thing, I tell them it didn't work, told I am wrong. So I am on the third level of Hell and all that needed to be done is that they take 1 minute out of their time. This is for vaccinations. Don't get me started on the pharmacy part. The waiting forever to get your prescription to be told it is not ready even though you have a texts saying it is, hello Purgatory

They were fast and efficient. But the last 3 months, never have our prescriptions ready even after 24-48hrs from recieving it. This last time, husband went to pick up sons prescription, they had not filled it. It was in the system for over 24hrs, said they would mark it urgent but it would still be a 2hr wait. We live 1.5-2hrs from the pharmacy with none closer.

They're SUPER slow and the lines are almost always long; I changed pharmacies after having been a Safeway Pharmacy customer in the past. However, I still have to pick up my stepson's prescriptions here. The reason I gave them three stars is because the staff redeemed themselves a bit the last time I went to pick up his prescription. He had recently switched insurance companies and there was some confusion regarding which company should be billed (they both said he wasn't covered). The staff gave me a lot of attention and assistance in getting it figured out, and were very friendly and patient in the process. Instead of just sending me down the road to figure things out on my own, they saw it through to the end, and I truly appreciate that.

I will give this Pharmacy one star for answering the phone. My Physician...PHYSICIAN... prescribed a medicine to help me get thru a serious illness. Safeway PHARMACIST told me they don't like that medicine (it's not "kosher" she said?!?) and they will not provide it for me. How dare GROCERY STORE pharmacists over rule a doctors decision.

If you would like to find an example of how not to run a pharmacy, poor customer service and terrible employee attitudes. I could drive Spokane and back, and the same people would be in line. Super 1 much better.

had surgery earlier today in SPOKANE you guys had more than enough time to get my medication ready and didn't just terrible with this I've had the last straw with this today. My family is no longer going through you guys and I would not recommend anyone else does either!!!

Just an awful pharmacy. If you have a prescription that needs to be filled prepare to wait an extra month as it takes them that long to walk from the register to the med lockers

Every time I go there there's at least one prescription not filled when they have had at least 24 hours ridiculous that I always have to come back slowest and longest lines I've ever dealt with in a pharmacy transferring out y'all have fun

This pharmacy is terribly understaffed for the number of people it serves. Staff are friendly, however wait times often Exceed 30 minutes. Also it takes 1 1/2 days to get even emergency meds that are faxed in by the Dr.

Gwendolyn is literally the rudest person to whom I have ever had the misfortune to speak. It's incredible that Safeway actually employs a person who behaves so outrageously toward customers. Shame on them.
