Bought 2lbs of parakeet food from them this morning for the first time just to get home and realize it was infested with weevils. All of their bulk seed needs to be thrown out at their store.

Really disappointed in this store. Lady at the desk was rude, the animals they had were poorly taken care of, with barely the bare essentials needed for them, they had rabbits who cages looked like never been cleaned with huge piles of droppings in the corners with mold growing on them, they had bettas in tiny little glass bowls with barely any water that was all brown and dirty. They also for some reason don't allow pictures to be taken of anything inside the store, which is probably cause everything is in such bad condition with rows of empty tanks and ceiling lights and are constantly flickering. They had almost everything overpriced, a very small selection of animals that are not taken cared of properly, and unfriendly service. This is by far THE WORST pet stores I've ever seen and been to. The only reason I would ever buy an animal from there, would be to rescue them from that awful store.

My go to shop for all my reptile supplies! Always great, prompt service, and always willing to answer any questions I have. Highly recommend this little family run for your pets needs.

Super friendly staff, good hardware, the fish food and supplies are nice and I haven't had a problem with them. Their fish are overpriced though. Every fish I've gotten has been relatively healthy the only problem I have is the price.I got a broken light and they gave me a full refund so that's really nice.I'm not sure if the problem has been fixed or not but a while back me and a few friends went to Pet Stop and noticed that the rodent cages were overcrowded, broken, and very dirty.Although I love that this is a local family owned business I just wish they would put a little more care into their animals and perhaps lower the prices? I'm not sure on the specifics but I remember a number close to $180.00 for a regular bearded dragonNow I get to the reptiles, absolutely the worst care I've seen. They have plenty of a variety but they don't scoop the poop, they are underfed, the lights are simply just turned off with no night lights at night. This worries me but I still have hope, I don't know what goes on behind the lines so perhaps they are just buying peoples already malnourished reptiles. Either way to a customer it looks like poor care.

Gave me good advice on giving my cat goat milk for his stomach problems and was very friendly and kind but the bird care kinda lame. The nappy Amazon was in a small cage with mirror in it (there are many reasons why mirrors are extremely dangerous for birds mentally) The Amazons had a long nails and their beaks could use a little trim/file. Their enrichment was cotton toys. Their water bowls were clean :) but their diet didn’t look good. There seem to be a lot of seeds and very colorful pellets that look like they probably have a quite a bit of sugar. If they added some more natural perches into the double yellow headed Amazons cage and some natural toys it would be great! The nappy needs the same things and a bigger cage. The quaker looked good, his color was definitely stunning! But I would say he needed a few more natural toys. I bet they do give their birds vegetables and fruits maybe just outside of the cage, hopefully. I personally get my bird toys at planet pleasure, it’s a really great brand and the bird toys are awesome. My amazons love them! And for my wooden toys, I like to go to bird tricks or Hootn holler bird toys and I get all my foraging toys from amazon. The foraging toys is how I give them their seed. It keeps them busy! The pellets I love is Tops, they’re natural their freeze dried and just having a really good chop mix with a couple of fruits and veggies. They check out all my boxes! All I hope is that they work on giving they birds a more enrich life. No hate just looking out for there gorgeous birds.

I have been in the store a few times. They have cute little rodents, some fish and birds. The store is decent but cluttered. The staff is friendly but the manager is rude for no apparent reason. I asked some questions about the birds and was treated like I was an idiot. I really felt like she couldn’t care less if a customer makes a purchase or comes back. I didn’t end up buying the birds there and ended up paying more else where but at least I was treated kindly. To me it’s worth paying more for good friendly service where I am greeted with a smile and valued as a customer. I gave it two stars for the cute little pets of which there were quite a few.

This place needs to be shut down! The rats have sores all over them and no hair. The bunny cages have piles of waste in them. Flies living in the cages. These poor animals need to be removed from their care. It was literally the most heartbreaking scene I have seen in a pet store.

I can’t believe this place anymore. DO NOT buy your meal worms from here. They are either dead, or die quicker then any place I have ever gotten them from! This use to be my go to place for all of my lizard and snake supplies. As of late, i have only been going there if I’m desperate. Iv had lizard and snakes for over 15 years, So yes, I know how to keep there food! This last time, I opened the container before I left the store, just because Iv been having such bad luck with the food from here. At least half the worms were black (dead already) and the rest looked pretty bad. She refused to exchange them. Told me that they were fine! After this last visit, I will not be back. Once a customer for life, now I don’t think I will be a customer ever again. I am a firm believer in supporting small businesses, unfortunately this small business has made it so I now will have to shop at the big stores for my pet supplies 😐

I could not justify supporting a business that has adult fancy rats in tiny 5 gallon or less fish tanks or adult angora rabbits in a 10 gallon fish tank.Not to mention their mystery snail shells looked corrosive and eroding, likely due to no calcium in their diet or tank.One of the rat's tank was full of feces from top to bottom and after I got done looking at all that feces and those poor rats, the clerk(Denise) started cleaning up in that tank.Their one and only betta fish is losing his natural, vibrant color because his tank hasn't been properly cleaned and the ammonia, nitrate, nitrites are high.Really sad to see a local, none chain pet store treat their animals so poorly.

This place has really great service and a very kind owner. She has done a really great job with the animals and i know that because she helped me get everything i needed for my guinea pig. She is still helping me with my animal. I love her store. She would a million stars. In my eyes. 😊💓

Tracy and her girls are so helpful! From our bearded dragon to our pet rat, they usually have what we need and if they don't they have great referrals for where to find it. Very fair pricing for a small town independently owned pet store.

The Pet Stop is cute, clean and local. It is literally five minutes from where I live, so it is no hassle to get there.I have been relying on The Pet Stop’s supplies to care for my animals since I was eight, and have not once been let down.The managers and staff there are so kind and knowledgeable. They really care about the health and care of our pets, and are never hesitant to give tips.I love the variety of fish and supplies there. There are guppies, bettas, tetras, oscars, pretty much ANYTHING you could think of.The Pet Stop has a huge variety of hamsters. Once, I even got to see a teddy bear hamster have her babies. It was a really fun experience to see them every time I visited and watch them grow. :)They have LOTS of gerbils to choose from. Although I do think that the gerbils are overbred and kept in overcrowded conditions, they look healthy for the most part.My cockatiel, Luna, loves the food they carried, which I buy in bulk. Although I have found two types of bugs in it on several occasions, it does not seem to hurt her. I just stick it in the freezer and they all get killed. Once I complained about the bugs and the staff were not hesitant to do an exchange. :)I think it’s cool how The Pet Stop offers to pet sit while you are on vacation. Such a nice feature!I love how they rescue and take in abused animals. Like for instance recently somebody brought in baby bearded dragons who were raised in a clutch of 30 in a 10 gallon aquarium. One had no tail, another had paralyzed black back legs. They now look healthy and happy, and most have been sent off to new loving homes.They also rescued a family of cockatiels who were kept in overcrowded, filthy conditions. They were abused in their past home and had a tendency to lash out. The managers there worked with them and the mom and dad were sent off to loving homes. One of them, named Terri (might have misspelled that,), is now a permanent resident. He has overcome most of his bad habits and is actually quite nice.I think that this is a really amazing small community of pet enthusiastics.I know I will continue to go here for countless more years.:D

A great little pet shop with a decent supply of food for reptiles and birds. A decent selection of fish, hamsters, gerbils, rats, birds, and reptiles. Local, friendly owners who care about the health and livelihood of the pets they own and sell. Occasionally, they'll have assorted discounted items. Pet boarding for cats, dogs, birds and reptiles. Pet grooming is also available as well. A pleasant experience everytime and the only local pet shop for the Monroe and Stevens pass area.

Check your receipts after leaving the store!! I recently spent about $25 didn’t look at my receipt when my bank statement came in they charged me $260. The owner was fairly quick to give me back the difference but wanted me to pay her bank card percentage on the whole $260. I asked her why I should have to pay the difference when they are the ones that made the mistake she kind of bickered with me, but finally gave me the difference in full kept complaining to me while she was writing the check out she was losing money. Never did apologize for the mistake in the first place. Will not shop there anymore!!Edit: I would have been happy to pay 3 percent card charge on the 25.00 purchased, but you wanted me to pay it on the 265.00 you mistakenly charged me.

I bought two fish from them about a week ago and they’re so healthy and lively! Their prices aren’t bad either, I enjoy going here to look at the kittens and reptiles. I’ll definitely be going here for any fish supplies!

This past week I've been having so much trouble finding a place to clip my pups nails as she's stubborn (and even with my parents help) she's a nipper! I was calling around a Pet Stop was kind enough to fit me in today! I've love the Pet Stop Pet Shop because I was able to go back and watch my 8-9 month old pupper get her nails clipped. It makes me feel better being able to see her and watch her as this is my first puppy of my own and I'm a protective puppy mom! Plus the price for just a nail trim is so so very reasonable I'm sure their other grooming services are JUST AS GOOD with BETTER PRICES than other competitors in the area! I've also loved the Pet Stop Pet Shop since I was little as it's THE ONLY place in town that you can go in and look at animals and they are still keeping that alive!! They have some beautifully colored bunnies, some colorful fishies, smart rats, CHINCHILLAS WHO TAKE ADORABLE DUST BATHS and much much more!! I WILL be coming here again in the future for my dog's nail trims!!

Cute little store for a small town. Convenient and glad to have them in town. Even tho they don't carry tarantulas (owner is anaphylactic), I really appreciated the offer to order some in special for me anytime as long as I come pick 'em up right away :) Very helpful and friendly :)

I took my dog there to be groomed and they did an amazing job! Bella was happy when I picked her up, not scared and upset like the other places I've taken her. Plus it's great supporting small local businesses.

wonderful place, got my parakeet there that someone else was unable to care for because of a defect in the beak. it has been under new management and is much cleaner since the last owner, and the carpet has been removed. The new owner lets me socialize the animals on weekends.

Only place in the area that sells crickets! My Chinese Water Dragon just loves them, and I'm not driving all the way to PetCo in Redmond just to give some huge company my money. The place isn't filthy as other reviewers have said, nor does it smell. I wonder if there is new ownership since those reviews?

Though they do have a mess load of animals, The place smells fine and the animals are all in good health. I would know I was there to get new genetic stock for my gerbil breeding and I got 4 from this shop and 4 from bridges in snohomish, the epic, kicks the ever living crud outta petco place, and it was obvious that the Monroe Petshop cares way better for their pets. They need your business to become better, not your negativity.

i gave one star to state how much I hate this shop. but it shouldn't,t receive any.every animal here is in small tanks or cages and crammed with others in those small tanks. what most bothered me was the rats. the breeding is horrible. the smell was horrible, when I left I felt like I needed to shower. the rat breeding that is done there is just horrible. the genetics of each rat is probably just sadly faulted for a short life. there were 7-12 rats in 20 gal tanks. there were rats who hade strokes and nearly all of them had a horrible amount of red discharge from the eyes and nose. some even had bite wounds and scars from fighting. fur that was white is now yellow. in the tanks with 7-12 rats there were multiple pregnant females, some too young to be.And the bunnies.. each bunny was in a 2x2 cage and "married" or pregnant/bread.If you are looking to adopt a rat, go to the rodent rescue in Everet. Best Friend Rodent Rescue. they have over 100 beautiful rats that need good homes.if you look for feeders, go to petco.Do not give this place any business or reason to keep breeding and producing animals. organizations have tried to shut this place down legally many times, but rats aren't protected. the only way they can continue selling and breeding, is keeping the bunnies in OKAY condition.Do not shop here in general.

This place is absolutely disgusting bought hamster food from here and is infested with bugs I seen on another comment someone also found bugs in their bird food something needs to be done about this place its sad 😔... so thats means all the animals in that place is infested with bugs and not getting the right care what can we do?
