A very comfortable place. My dog HATES baths, but loves swimming at our lake. Frankie is a large dog and Jenn was very careful with her. I had no problem getting her out of the car and into Jenn's business. Extremely calming for my old girl, Frankie is 12. It was time for a professional bath and Jenn did a fantastic job. Frankie didn't seem distressed and will definitely return. THANK YOU SO MUCH 💓

Jennifer greatly loves dogs, cats and all animals. A wild acting dog recently got out of a well secured yard, after chewing through it's dog leash. We diligently tried to get the dog back inside. The vet bill was paid fully two days later. Jennifer is genuinely SORRY this happened. None of the people with the previous comments(from two weeks ago), are the owner of Murphy; they have no business making untrue statements.

This was my first time taking my Siberian husky max to her. Bathing Max has always been a challenge and I’ve only found a few groomers that can handle him. It had been awhile since his las grooming. She did the best grooming job Max has ever had. I was actually shocked how she got his fur back to what it was when he was a puppy. This lady is amazing when it comes to grooming!

Took our little chi-weenie pupper in to have her nails trimmed, as she is a little wiggle worm I am afraid to do it myself. Jennifer was wonderful and had us in and out in less than 15 minutes. Highly recommend!

Someone who is supposed to love animals let a dog escape with NO contact to the owner for 4 hours. You let the family of this dog think he was okay and lost their chance to be able to save this dog from getting hit by a car so hard the bumper fell off. Had they called the owner they could have easily approached their family pet and got him back.Your responses to the family's that also had issues with your business are very combative, unprofessional and you will be lucky if you stay in business for another month after this.Please reach out to the family and pay for the vet bill that you caused pain too. It's the least you can do.

I told her to give my dog a haircut, and she completely shaved her, I also told her my dog had dysplasia and to be very careful with her. When I picked her up, she couldn’t even walk, the next morning I took her to the vet, because whatever she did really inflamed her little legs. She had to be put on anti-inflammatories. I’m not saying that it’s her fault that my dog has issues she just wasn’t careful with her.

She was very nice and did a great job! I love how beautiful and serene it is there, much more peaceful than going into a big store for grooming. We love how his hair cut turned out, he looks amazing!

They don't treat older dogs with respect. Our old dog doesn't walk right after her appointment. Don't bring your dog here.Edit: Wow responding combatively after 6 months... Real classy. Just to add a comment about your weird assumptions, it had not been a year or more since she had been groomed. Maybe its time to retire your little grooming shop of horrors.

She lets dog’s escape and doesn’t notify the owner’s when they do. Not only that, the puppy was hit by two different cars and she didn’t call to check on the dog or offer to pay the over $3k in vet bills for her carelessness. Which is honestly worse than letting a dog get out at all. She should be ashamed.

I would give 0 stars if I could. My wife dropped our dog Rocky off today to get a shampoo, trim, and toe nails cut. She also asked that she not remove too much hair from his tail or coat. To our surprise she shaved our dog because she said he had too many matts to brush out?( see before pic taken earlier this week ) He had a nick from the trimmers on his ear and there were trim lines all over his body. Then she told my wife that our dog drooled too much and that she had to cut his hair with him on the floor... hmmm , ok. We have had Rocky shampooed and trimmed for years at Sams and this had never happened. After looking at some of the other reviews ( should have looked first !!!!!) I see that the Business owner lashed back at another customer after they left a bad review for the same result. I will not ever return to this business and will definitely tell my friends not to also.

Jennifer is one amazing dog groomer. She takes her time and dose is rite! I was blessed to work for her when I was 15 in Sacramento California. Now I'm 44 still blessed to still call her my friend! She was amazing then and still is! She taught me work ethic! And if a dog wasn't clean she'd make me wash it again. She has high standards on how a dog goes out of her shop! They'll strut out like AKC Show dogs for sure! She's amazing! Her love for animals is empecable! She's got an amazing craft I highly recommend her. Highly recommended!

I had two puppies groomed here. One was a 12 month old, 11 lb Maltese mix and the other was an 8 month old ShihTzu. The Maltese's grooming was OK. I'd give it a 6 or 7 out of 10. The grooming on the tiny 6 lb ShihTzu was not very good at all. 4 or 5 out of 10. Her hair was choppy on her body and legs. Long hair left in places and the hair on her head was very uneven. The nails on both dogs were sharp and scratchy. Probably clipped but not filed. This groomer said she had 30 or 40 years experience but for $55 for each small dog I believe she should have given better cuts and finishes. I won't go back.

Jennifer was great with my dog. I have been looking for a small/in home business for someone to wash/clean/rake out my dog’s undercoat. My dog despises going to a place like Petsmart but he was fine at Jennifer’s. The appointment took quite a bit longer than expected because she did such a thorough and complete job. Highly satisfied with the work and price point. $90 for 3.75 hours of work which dosen’t include the time she probably had to clean up the fur explosion I’m sure happened. Thanks! Will definitely be coming back!

I have lived in enough cities and owned enough dogs to feel assured in my judgment on what sets one above the rest. While the pet franchises can boast of quantity, choice, satisfaction and reliability, they are woefully unprepared and ill-equipped to cater to the individual pet who wants above all else to have the same experience with a groomer as the one they have at home with their owners. It’s not only skill and know-how, but temperament and trust. Jennifer instills both.I learned a long time ago that my dogs were happier, more relaxed and wonderfully contented after being with an independent home groomer than the big brand pet chains. That is when I started to narrow my search to small shops and out of the way spots -- sanctuaries of calm and diligent attentiveness.Canine Cottage is aptly named. It is as unique and individual as its owner. Jennifer is clear in her intent to provide pets with a space of harmony and peace. She is also devoted to duplicating what owners want in styling and result, which is why I make a habit of carefully communicating my needs in picture and language. I have never been disappointed in how my spirited wheaten terrier, Tuck, was the embodiment of care, creativity, and photo-stunning perfection. Thank you.

Our regular groomer had surgery, so we searched for another groomer that could work with two golden retrievers. We are very selective because our male golden had a very bad experience a year ago where she burned him with the clippers. The groomer had to pay medical bills and refund the grooming fee. So we were very cautious this time. I was impressed with Jennifer's reviews and was able to schedule an appointment that afternoon. While her facilities are not state-of-the art, Jennifer's kindness and gentleness with the dogs helped them feel comfortable when we met, which put me at ease. Several hours later I returned and found them looking great and in good spirits. Our one sensitive dog licked himself for only a few hours, but no hot spots developed and all is well on the third day. I would definitely take my dogs back to Jennifer.

Jennifer (owner) understands what you want done and how you want your dog to look when you pick him/her up. She is kind and patient with animals and has a calm and sensitive way with them and her human customers. Her rates are very reasonable and she was very flexible to fit my boy in before Thanksgiving at short notice. Glad to have found a new place to take my Cavalier!

Brought our Samoyed into Canine Cottage for grooming and she came home shaved, nearly to the skin and appeared traumatized later that night. Her breeder, regular groomer, and vet all said it shouldn't have been done. (A bathe and a fur fork would have done the trick.) A simple web-search for "should I shave my Samoyed" would have found the answer.Jennifer called and asked to trim some tough spots, but never said she would shave the entire dog. If she had known about the breed as originally claimed, she would never have shaved the dog. Due to the two types of fur, our dog's coat may never recover! Jennifer is either reckless or incompetent and may have wrecked our dog.
