The campsites were very close together, and it was definitely better suited to RV rather than tent camping. The tent spots had a lot of gravel and it would have been exceptionally uncomfortable without air mattresses. The bathrooms were kept very clean, but did not have plumbing. No sinks or showers. The lake is pretty, but is not suited for swimming and we did not catch any fish. We did enjoy our stay as a whole. The stars were gorgeous at night.

It's a great campground that is well maintained and clean. The web site to reserve has all the details you need to know whether you need power, water or want a spot next to the lake. The bathrooms are primitive (fancy outhouse) and don't have running water or showers but they are clean and somehow don't even smell bad. There is a small store nearby that has the necessities including some souvenirs and fishing gear.I'll be back for sure!

Beautiful location but the RV campground is less than desirable. Camp hosts had folks arriving the day before we left park their rig in such a way as to block our getting our truck up to our hitch. The rig owner questioned the positioning but we're told we were leaving after them so it wouldn't be a problem. Wrong! We were pulling out the next morning. Luckily they were good neighbors and worked with us. Then the dump station is positioned such that when using it, you block all traffic coming into or put of the campground! Poor layout, to say the least. Electric box looked pretty iffy as if installed by a DIYer. Random sites have water, ours did not but next to us, they did. Wouldn't recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lions Den Mineral Lake campsite, and I can't recommend it enough! Terry and Austin run an incredible operation, and their attention to detail and commitment to customer service are truly unmatched. From the moment I arrived, I knew that I was in for a great experience. One of the things that really stood out to me about Lions Den Mineral Lake was how impeccably clean and well-maintained the entire campground was. The facilities were spotless, the bathrooms were always clean and stocked with supplies, and the grounds themselves were neatly groomed and free of debris. In addition to the cleanliness, I also loved the abundance of natural beauty at the campsite. The lake and mountains are absolutely stunning, and I spent hours exploring the area and taking in the scenery. And when I needed a break from the great outdoors, the nearby Mineral Market had everything I needed to stock up on supplies and essentials. The nearby Headquarters Tavern was also a highlight of my trip. In addition to offering great drinks and a friendly atmosphere, they hosted a poker night on Fridays that was a ton of fun. And for those who prefer billiards to cards, there's also a pool table available for use.But what really stood out to me about Lions Den Mineral Lake was the care and attention that Terry and Austin put into running the campsite. I felt safe and secure throughout my entire stay, and whenever I had a question or needed some guidance, Terry and Austin were always available to help. All in all, I would highly recommend Lions Den campsite to anyone looking for a fantastic camping experience. It's the perfect blend of natural beauty, comfort, and hospitality, and I can't wait to go back for another visit. Thank you, Terry and Austin, for a truly unforgettable trip!

They had an fantastic July 4th weekend full of activities for kids and a 20 minutes long amazing fireworks. It’s very relaxing. Some sites do not have water, some don’t have electricity, no sewer hook up, but there is sewer dump. No shower onsite. Good for camping. Beautiful lake, bring your own kayak and inflatable boats! We enjoyed our stay.

If I had the option of changing the 5 stars to a 10 star, I would give it to the lion’s den campground. What a wonderful place and the hospitality here is top notch. Something I haven’t witnessed in years. The people in the town of Mineral are most welcoming and kind. I was invited to have coffee with the members of the Loin’s club and enjoyed great conversations about fish with the locals. I love this hometown feel here. I really miss that. The Lion’s Den campground is amazing and right on Mineral Lake. The area is well maintained and clean. The restrooms are the cleanest I’ve seen. I think the State parks would do well to get their training from the host Terry and Austin.Terry checked on me often to see if I needed anything. I would also recommend anyone who is disabled to stay here. There are areas along the water to fish right from a scooter or wheelchair. Be sure to check out their website for all they have to offer and make sure the lake is open to fishing before you go!Honor and integrity and great conversation is what I found here. I enjoyed camping here so much I’m returning in May and get some fishing in too!Thank you Terry and Austin for making this trip amazing.Charlie Bush

Went camping here over this holiday Memorial weekend and had a great time! The place has been cleaned up well with the new management and all of the staff were incredibly friendly. I booked the wrong sites and Tina assisted me with booking new sites without charging me any fees. The place was very clean and quiet. We were able to fish and moor our boat the whole time we stayed at no additional cost. We witnessed a staff member even swapping out someones soaked firewood for free with dry wood so that they could have a fire. Overall a great place to camp and enjoy some outdoor time. Thank you for making our stay awesome! We will definitely be staying again sometime!

My family and I just got back from camping from Mineral Lake Lions Den Campground July 29 - 31. Of course we picked one of the hottest weekend in Washington State lol. This review is from my personal experience about the campground. First of, the hosts were amazing, they were very friendly, bathrooms were clean and of course they are vaulted toilets so you can't escape the smell. We were at site 29. Not a lot of shade but please bring a canopy. There were a few docks you can fish off of. Great views and my family and I really enjoyed our time there. We will definitely go back again!

Great place to go, the campground hosts are really nice and friendly. It's usually windy which is kinda annoying. Fishing in a boat is best. Caught some Kokanee trolling and bluegill from the dock. Will come again.Update, they have added picnic tables to all sites which is really nice. The prices are a little high, but that keeps out the unwanted. ( Worth it )Comfortable, safe-feeling place. They have corn hole and horse shoes, a little store across the street open weekends, but they sell ice at the office if you you need it.We camp there often.

This was so bad! Nothing was close to level. The sites were not compatible with any camper. Water hook up was to far away, if you got close enough you couldn't let your slide out. It was a gravel parking lot with no grass. The fire ring was in the middle of the parking... no picnic table. Worst 85$ I've ever spent. I would avoid this campground even if you just need a place to crash for the night. Just don't, you can park on the side of the road for free.

Just what we needed. Campsites are small, but it’s just enough. It’s a father and son running the place and they do such an excellent job. There was an issue with their potable water and my partner and I got to the camp too late to have access to their drinking water. The son went into his own car and gave us 6 bottles of his own water.Such a pleasant experience.

Camp site is beautiful! Clean bathrooms, and clean camp sites. Lots of duck poop, but that's inevitable when camping at a lake. The staff is absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to help us when my kids tents leaked and all their bedding got soaking wet. The park manager called his friend, who happened to own a laundry mat in Morton, and let me come dry my kids blankets after it was already closed. If it wasn't for him making that call for us, we would have had to end our trip early. We will definitely be coming back to this site!! Great fishing as well. There are 5 docks to go fishing off of. Beautiful (and tasty) rainbow trout!

If you get a spot by the lake, this might be nice. But if you’re tent camping, I would not go here again. Sloping gravel to set up tent and very small sites right next to other sites. I’ve never seen sites so small and they were corded off with white. No picnic table at site. Vault toilets. Water was not available when we went due to a contamination issue. I’m not sure how people gave this 4-5 stars.

Pro's: Camp host and manager (father and son) are very accommodating, friendly, eager to help and want to make your stay a good one! The campground is still a work in progress but they are doing their best. I asked if we could get a picnic table (they only have 10 on site currently, working to get more) and they delivered one to our site about 2 hours later. Fishing was perfect for the kids, not huge fish but easy to catch and alot of action! They are flexible on putting additional tents on your site and moving you to different available sites if you want when you arrive. Moorage is free. They also have multiple cornhole and horseshoe pits you can play!Cons: Sites are small. Would be ok for just a single tent but beyond that is tight. The cost is high for what it currently is - about $60/night for RV site with water/power for a narrow all gravel site. Bathrooms are clean but do smell pretty bad throughout the campground.Overall it was a positive experience and we would go back again. I hope before we go back there are some additional picnic tables and possibly a price adjustment to better reflect the current conditions.

Don't camp near the fence. The neighbors hate the campground and go out of the way to make your life hell. Such as weed wracking at 9pm next to the fence. Or the neighbor with the blaring lights all night and blasts music until the cops come, if they come at all. Booked 3 nights left the 1st night at 11pm cause I was not going to be able to sleep

Worst campground ever. Vault toilets stink up half the campground so bad you can't breath. No tables, no privacy, dumpsters right next to the toilets that have no sinks, no showers, nada very unsanitary. The flies are so terrible in the summer months when it's hot. In the spring, it's just cold wet and miserable most of the time. One water spigot for every ten sites. Now they're gouging people to camp after they changed their camp policy last year. Lake is OK, only thing going for this area is the fishing but so what, it's just another stocked lake like all the others in wa. One bar and a small convience store in town that's it. Sloping Camp sites are small and unmarked. Bar fights are common in the area as well. Never again, hope I never see the place again, good luck.

We stayed at the the Mineral Lake Lions Club - Lions Den Campground over the 4th of July 2022. We stayed three nights and enjoyed our time here. We brought our two explorer cats with us. The wooded trails along the lake and the old railroad track were great. We even found the abandoned train cars. Very Cool.Koko and Gemma were a little freaked out by the utility vehicles that were driving around and a dog or two but all in all it was a good say.IF this site had "Full" hook ups it would have been near perfect. As it was they they have no sewage hook ups at the sites only water and electric and the dump station tank was full as we were leaving. There are no public RV dump stations anywhere near this location. We live in Graham and had to run over to Sumner to "drop our load" before heading home. An extra 20 miles.Other than that, this place was really nice. We wanted to get way from the fireworks of our crazy neighborhood and the 30 minute fireworks show from a barge in the lake was just enough. We give this KOA a 4 "PAW" rating!Tim and Serena

Really empty, NO SHOWERS, you are basically just camping on concrete or pebbles. Overpriced for sure and if you are planning of hiking don’t come here because there is no way of showering. We just left upon arrival because we just didn’t want to stay here. When we asked if we could get any of our money back they told us we couldn’t. We preferred losing over $100 than staying there 1 night

Perfect place to rest our heads after a long day hiking at Mt. Rainer. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. One complaint is smaller than average sites that can have gravel or uneven bedding (if you pack properly with a ground mat this won't be an issue).

I truly enjoyed my stay the campgrounds are clean, the spaces are large and the bathrooms are clean (no showers) the employees are friendly and helpful, the town is small, quite and the businesses are very quaint. I recommend bringing a boat of some kind to explore the lake and your so close to Mt.Rainier plan a day trip .

Campground is ran by a non profit Lions Club. They give 100 percent of proceeds back to the community. Just 1 example of many is helping purchase a new fire truck for the area.Campground has undergone a facelift and major improvements, with more to come. They just installed a playground for the littles and upgraded the fishing docks.Online booking was super simple and easy. If you are looking to camp ON THE LAKE known as the "home of the 10 pound trout", this is the spot! And with all the funds going to support Mineral, WA state, and the world...it is a no brainer.

Campgrounds is mediocre. Not kept up super great, not organized at all, dont enforce posted rules much. Lake is good and fishing too, the one saving grace of the place. The people working the park and campgrounds don't keep any lists or notes even to reference because if you call ahead earlier in the year to reswrve a spot and someone else just happens to show and wanting the spot you reserved they just let anybody take it. Not hard to keep a notepad or spreadaheet even.

Nasty nasty place!!!! Run into the ground by new management that have no skills or knowledge on how to run a campground not familiar with lions club and how most do business but this chapter is shady kinda scary to be greeted by gate keeper caring a gun the place is not kid friendly im not sure why they EPA hadn't paid a visit to this place yet anyways? The lake itself is awesome and it will be much better when they ymca builds its new campground shortly I hope

Great spot with a bar and convenience store/gas station right across the street. They are very limited on picnic tables so I suggest bringing your own table to set up if you're wanting one. We will be back for sure
