From the moment we arrived at Elkamp, we were captivated by its breathtaking, woodsy charm. Nestled in nature, this campground offers a serene escape with stunning scenery and well-maintained facilities. The restrooms and showers are particularly impressive, spotlessly clean, and modern—rare finds in the great outdoors! The grounds themselves are a sight to behold, beautifully kept and perfect for a variety of outdoor activities. Whether you’re a hiker, a camper, or just someone looking to relax, you’ll find what you need here. Every review we read mentioned the beauty and tranquility of this place, and they were absolutely right.I highly recommend Elkamp to anyone looking for a beautiful and well-equipped outdoor retreat. It’s definitely a place you’ll want to come back to, time and time again!

We arrived on a Wednesday and had the whole place to ourselves for 3 days. I took the opportunity to walk the property and was greeted with such beauty. The sites are well laid out and you have great views no matter where you are. They have a few creek side sites that are great! The owners are very hospitable and they have a beautiful decor store.

Great private owned camp ground, owner was super friendly and helpful. My wife and son had a great time spending the weekend there. We had a blast exploring the area. A river cuts threw the camp ground which makes for a great place to explore and swim with kids in the summer. Would recommend 100%. Also bathrooms we cleaned daily so shower and bathrooms were spotless, never been a camp ground and seen such clean everything! Also it was end of the season when we went so it was below freezing in the morning and was cold and raining the rest of the time. Having the bathrooms heated was amazing for those cold early morning bathroom trips!

Beautiful! Manicured spacious spots with shade. Nice seating in scenic areas. A few places to stroll. Quiet. 4/5 stars because VERY expensive and showers are $1 for 2 minutes. For $10 (seniors) we stayed in the park. White river campground first come first serve. Showers $5 at the RV park down the mountain in Packwood. A much better deal and the setting just as lovely.

Great camp site! The best I’ve been to in the US. The owners were super nice and accommodating, the toilet and shower sparking clean.I have only two pieces of feedback - the campsite is a bit on the expensive side, you pay double here compared to other sites in the area - but that’s ok since it’s so well maintained and beautiful. The other one is showers - you have to pay a dollar per 2 minutes of hot water. I think for the price of one night stay ($80) at least the showers could be free and have soap in it.

This campground was so peaceful and serene. Adirondack chairs set up in meadows to view the mountains. A stream runs through the property that is so clear it doesn’t seem real. The store/office has many treasures. Many are from local artisans. Several groups book the entire campground and I can see why. Located very near Mount Rainier National Park it serves as a base camp for all your adventures or just enjoy the serenity in this park.

Fantastic camp grounds. Very family friendly, lots of room to explore and safe grounds for children the bathrooms are clean too - which in most places they are a scary science experiment but not here! We already are planning out next trip with our friends. Went with 6 adults and 8 children between all of our sites. Everything is spacious and gives your good privacy from other groups as well.1. Great hiking and exploring (hills, mountains, river, meadows, woods) owner cuts our great trails and there are chairs placed throughout grounds for relaxation2. Beautiful views3. River close by and safe for children to play around4. Running water nearby5. Bathroom and showers - clean!5. Games to borrow and rent (corn hole)6. Spacious sites

Just came from a short stay here. Overall, an excellent experience. The best place we stayed through the whole trip. The great:It's right in the middle of a forest. Beautifully calm. Well-shaded.Pricing is very reasonable. It's within striking distance of several Mt. Rainier sights.Totally dog-friendly. The manager even had one.The good:The environment itself is very quiet. Serene, almost. The camp has a bathroom and shower. (It will have two bathrooms soon, but one was under renovation.)The spots are decently spaced. We had a rather narrow pad (hard to back in), but it sat a reasonable distance from others. They'd even set up nice little walkways between the trees. The could-be-better:Wi-Fi and cell are both really slow, and drop frequently. Now, this IS a 'getaway,' so having fast connection is a low priority. Just FYI.Only one dump station for the entire park.Shower is coin-op. That seemed a bit unnecessary. It's marked as having a dishwasher station, but it doesn't anymore. (It broke; might come back later.) The manager very kindly let me use a sink in the park office, but I didn't want to impose on this.On the last full day, a group of RVs came in and almost immediately began making lots of noise. Loud conversations, banging stuff around, and one guy drunkenly yelled and laughed uproariously for hours. It ruined the entire park's peace & quiet. Now, that is in NO way the manager's fault. We asked for help, and he did go over to ask for quiet. They didn't quiet down until around 9:30 though.

This last minute camping turned out to be the best camping trip I ever had with my family . This was the first camping experience for my MIL and I was nervous but this place proved me otherwise . So clean , so green . Washrooms were so neat as if you are staying in an resort . Last but not least the owner an absolute gentleman he even offered us extra fire food :) . Highly recommended

Best place to camp outside of the Park. Short drive to the park entrance. Easy to find. Nicest bathrooms I’ve ever seen at a campground. Newly renovated! Big campsites & very well kept. Will be coming back!

A beautiful well cared for private campground. The owners are friendly, the area is full of things to do and we will be back. The only minior negative would be a little road noise during the day.

Stayed at Elkamp for two nights after coming across it randomly on google. It was awesome! Beautiful campground, and the hosts are absolutely accommodating, welcoming, and kind. We camped right next to the creek. Certain parts of it are deep enough for a dip. There’s a bridge that goes across the creek to a big field that was great for some off leash play for our pup. Bathrooms are really great and clean, and there’s showers! Definitely will be returning to Elkamp. The gift shop was really cute too. Thanks for a great stay!

Sometimes you find a campground that just does everything right, and this little hidden gem goes above and beyond expectations. Spacious spots, well kept areas, firewood delivery, a couple incredible owners, trails and a private meadow and creek to play in.It's no wonder they are booked a year out, and voted one of the top spots in the state.

This has to be my Top 3 spots to camp. Very well maintained, owners where very friendly, definitely back to nature type of feel. Small but will be expanding, it has some very nice tent spots, pull through RV spots, and back-in spots. Full hook-ups, half hook-ups, with a camp bathroom and shower, and pet friendly. I give Elkamp 5 stars 🌟 I plan to go back again. This is one you definitely need to visit.

This place was SO great! The owners were awesome and provided such great customer service. The campground itself is beautiful, peaceful and very well maintained. Perfect amount of privacy/seclusion when it comes to the placement of the camp sites. The restrooms were very also clean the whole time we stayed. I can't say enough about how great this place is and how friendly and helpful the owners are. We got to talk to them a little bit and it sounds like they have great plans for the place and will be improving the place even more. We'll definitely be returning.

We just added this spot to our favorites list! The campground is so clean and lush, you almost feel like you're in a rain forest (and we did have rain that weekend). Your pups will love it as it's extremely dog friendly and the owners, Tom and Brian were so welcoming and nice to chat with. The check in barn is full of some really cool local made products. We will definitely be back!

If you are looking for a campground near Mount Rainier National Park, we highly recommend Elkamp Eastcreek in Mineral, WA: about 15 miles from the Nisqually entrance. The campground is gorgeous, and the sites are large, quiet and private. We had site #10 and could only see one other RV while we were sitting outside, and one when we were inside. There is a lovely creek, walking paths and a beautiful meadow to enjoy. The owners are very welcoming and they have a cute store on the property. We would definitely stay here again, even if we were not going to Mount Rainier 😀

We enjoyed staying at Elkamp. The location is very peaceful and quiet. The grounds are well maintained, with roomy RV sites that provide adequate space to not be too close to other campers. We'd definitely stay again and will recommend Elkamp to friends heading to Mt. Rainier.

We loved our stay at Elkamp. We were only there for one night, but the whole campsite was so beautiful. Lots of big trees, and was truly amazing when waking up in the morning. All of the tent pitches were well maintained. Hosts were super friendly and gave us a courtesy call before we arrvied to make sure everything was okay and to give us instructions if we arrived late. Bathrooms were nice and clean, shower room was big. One downside was the shower cost $1 for 6 minutes, but it really wasn't a big deal. Good location for trips to Mount Rainier. Would highly recommend.

Elkamp (elevated camping) is such a beautiful little oasis for both RVs and tents. Grounds are beautiful, such sweet touches like a maze through the wildflower field with Adirondack chairs strategically placed for a peaceful sit in the meadow, a beautiful little enchanted forest, and they've done such a great job with their shop where you check in. One-of-a-kind gifts, art and camping items. The bathrooms are clean and fresh with new fixtures. Don't miss this lovely little spot!
