Nice café with a cute layout, a couple of tables outside also. We had chicken fried steaks. The fried eggs were overcooked and had like a plastic coating on them from how they were cooked. The chicken fried steak and gravy were both great. The toast was a bit black. Not many choices in this area for breakfast but we would go again if in the area. Nice friendly service. They had some awesome looking baked goods at the counter!

I ordered a very full meal. The only good thing i had was the pie and soup (the presentation of the pie was horrible however). Everything else was inedible and i took it home and threw it away.I will say that their variety of pies is unmatched, which was worth a star on it's own.

Awesome food and service. Probably the best butter biscuits I’ve ever had. I recommend the bourbon caramel latte in the fall and the chicken fried steak breakfast.

Great food, wonderful service! I particularly loved their sensitivity to food allergy issues, of which I have many! What a treasure tucked away in the mountains!

Quaint, pleasant, welcoming, and delicious! Real home cooked flavor. Big portions. Slightly pricey BUT understandably so. They're 100 miles from any stores or product resources. Friendly staff. This is a picture of their chicken fried steak breakfast!

I got the Turkey Club Croissant with fries and a caramel latte. The croissant itself was fresh and soft, and the entire sandwich was delicious! The fries were crispy and warm yet still soft and had their skins on them, which I love. They left the fries unsalted so you can decide how salty you like them. The only thing I would improve is to add more caramel to the caramel latte. I hope I can snag a cinnamon roll on my way out of town before you close! They look amazing.

Twice I have been to this establishment, great food, great cooks. I ate the most scrumptious homemade apple pie! Homemade desserts/breads for sale too! I walked out with a big loaf of sour dough after having a most delicious breakfast. I highly recommend the sour dough sliced and heated up with butter! I will certainly come again!

Authentic homemade food in a charming cafe in a small mountain town in a heavenly setting. Really, what more could you ask for? We spent a week camping at beautiful Sullivan Lake just a handful of miles up the road. Wanted to check out the cafe for a hot meal and we were so happy that we returned two more times. What’s not to love? Homemade buttermilk biscuits! Homemade pies!! And the best homemade fries ever!!! (When was the last time you saw from-scratch fries on the menu instead of those awful, reconstituted and tasteless things from the restaurant supply vendor?!?). Breakfast served all day and lunch till mid-afternoon. The menu is large and has something for everyone. The staff are friendly and gracious and kind, and strangers are made to feel welcome. Don’t miss if you’re traveling through this corner of Washington. This is the real thing.

Horrible customer service. Favoritism from the 1 waitress for the whole building toward “visitors”. Horrible wait time, it took no joke 2 hours to get a cheeseburger and when I had asked for silverware the waitress threw the silverware down at the table at me. When checking out and thanking them, the waitress gave a verbal hum back in response. I will NEVER be back, and will make sure to tell everyone I can to not go here. The atmosphere was negative and the young waitress should find other employment because she is clearly miserable and spreading it through her service at the farm house. Sad this is the only food place left in Metaline falls. Soon too be a ghost town!!!! Sad when you want to support small local businesses and the service is trash.

My only major complaint besides food orders not being given to the cooks correctly and them coming out wrong was the red headed waitress who made the other waitress work twice as hard on a busy day for them. I have 15+ years working in restaurants and this young woman worked harder at pretending to work than anything else. I felt so bad for the head waitress. She was overwhelmed and under supported. This is a 5 star place. I will give them another chance. See you next year at Bigfoot festival. Maybe I will come coook for you. :)

Stopped-in for a late breakfast on a lazy Sunday day-trip to Pend Oreille County for recreation. Had not been here before, and was wonderfully surprised. Great, down-home food, friendly atmosphere, attentive staff, and very fair prices. I had the chicken-fried steak and eggs, and was not disappointed in the least. Perfectly-sized portions. I will absolutely return to try other menu items for breakfast and lunch, of which there were many!

Such a wonderful little cafe!!! Had the pastrami on rye with a side of home-made fries and it was delish. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. All in all, a new favorite for lunch in Metaline!

Great little restaurant with excellent food and super friendly people. Hannah was our waitress and she was awesome. We called ahead since we were a group of 10 and she took care of us like we were family. Other townsfolk came in and she served them well too. The cook was quick and everything was hot and delicious.

This place as great surprise. The folks working (family?) were friendly and quick despite the amount of firefighters that we're unexpectedly eating there. The food was also great. One of the best corned beef hashes I have had. The pies and cookies were also made in house and delicious! I'll seek this place out again.

Awesome little cafe with a great selection of sandwiches, burgers, amazing fries (& other great sides), and some of the best baked goods! You have to stop in here if you are in Metaline Falls. Kimberly is awesome. Best hand-spun milkshakes/ice cream around (try the huckleberry).

We drove up to Metaline Falls to see fall colors and found this little Cafe. Great menu items for breakfast and lunch. We arrived at 11:30 and could order from either menu.Chicken fried steak was a hit. Patty melt was made-to-order with extra cheese. Beef dip sandwich was the special and excellent. Tomato basil soup was a bit disappointing: weakly seasoned. But the sandwiches were enough for 2 meals!Giant cinnamon roll, snickerdoodle and peanut butter cookies to go! 😋😋

Cute little place, good food and the fries rock! Kids menu is a great value too! Oh and let's PLEASE talk about those homemade lemon bars and brownies!!! Delicious! Wondering if you offer gluten free breads/pastries? We will be back but would like to know about GF offerings!

Absolutely amazing hole-in-the-wall mom ‘n pop restaurant. We were referred to this restaurant from a gas station attendant at the town south of Metaline Falls. The waitress was a delight to talk to. Her and the cook ran the whole place. Great place to visit! Very welcoming!

Four of us drove about 40 miles for lunch and left very frustrated. The young man was extremely inept. His knowledge was vague. One person requested a teaspoon ofChili to check the spice level. She was told that they don’t do that. She did not ask for a bowl, just a small taste.Another person asked for non sugar and was told they did not have any.We waited for over a half hour for ourfood. When the lunch finally arrived, it was very cold and way over salted.I never give negative reviews, howeverThe service was so poor, the chili burgers all came minus the onions and cheeseWill not return 😡
